Very Good demonstration and explanation, well done. I got it folded back after 3 tries. One of the tries it slipped and opened up in my face haha, no damage done Thank the Great Lord !!!
*This looks awesome. I would REALLY like to see a follow up video on this with it completely staked out to see how well it can be ventilated when fully closed up. That's a major factor with something this small (try laying in a bivy during a rainstorm when it's 85 degrees out...) . The airflow setup clearly works differently than with the EBNS. Thanks, congrats on being the 1st to review this product ;)
CJ Sutton was going to get one, surprised to hear you say it leaks...I was looking for something to help keep snakes, spiders & scorpions out of my Aus army hoochie 😊
Oh yeah, well you just sold me on the upgrade to this! I am gonna keep my current one for a backup. great looking tent! can't beat the coyote color out here in the desert environment.
Pretty cool. I have the USMC one that is bugnet only that I use with a tarp. I believe sportsman's guide is selling those now. Its mega quick to set up ! Thanks for sharing !
Hi. Thanks! I am looking to replace my old bivvy bag and I like the look of this. It doesn't have a vestibule or a porch for cooking but then nor does a bivvy bag. A small lightweight tarp would provide that option, and perhaps the pole would support it in areas where there are no trees to tie off the tarp...? I agree the only downside is that it's hard to figure out how to pack this in a rucksack
I was issued one of these to test in 2008. It wasn't bad, the only thing I didn't like was folding it back up lol. What a pain in the ass until you figure it out. I still have it I just don't use it much. I prefer the Snugpak ionosphere.
Great video. I like how it's pretty compact for a pop-ish tent. This company is interesting. Never heard of it before. I wonder what that air raid siren was about lol.
Way cool, Ben! Not a huge fan of the one man bivy shelters myself, a bit too claustrophobic, but I like the quick set up and the fact that you can sit up once the door's open. The set up reminds me of one of my pop up ground blinds! Thanks for the video!
there is actually alot of room in there. I have the mil surp version. it comfortably sleeps me with room to spare. my 90 pound dog sleeps under the fly and theres still room for my gear.
Looks like something I'd take to the desert with me. But the pop-up aspect is what puts me off. looks hard to put down and I never think the pools will last.. I'm going to do a bit of research tho
Interested to hear how this does with condensation with the rainfly fully attached. It doesn't seem like the netting on the sides will do much with that rainfly down. So, you basically only have one portion of netting to help with air flow.
I don't know man. We are about the same size and I think you looked kind of cramped. The tent concept is pretty cool though, just a little small. thanks for sharing.
Pretty epic shelter, man. On attaching it to a pack, might try rigging some sort of cargo net with 550 cord to hold it snug. That way you can mount it to the top or bottom of the pack. Given the 13" diameter of the donut, though, you might even consider putting it inside the pack. Cargo nets are good for lashing odd-shaped things like this.
I bought an old school "A" frame boy scout tent brand new for $30 bucks that packs half the size and does not weigh that much more. It does not go up or down as easily and does not have the bug screen capability that this one does. But for a bug out bag it fills the bill better then this and can hold two people or you and all your gear. Still, if money were not a hurdle, I might be tempted.
Badass. But I see a few problems. How well does it pack in various bags? Looks a bit bulky. How does it compare to the Snugpak Ionosphere? Does it have room for your pack? The Ionosphere looks like it has room for a pack, and that's the tent I'm eyeing.
where do I get one? I saw one similar on Amazon but its a complete bug tent with no covers. The rainfly sold separately. I don't like the rain fly that goes with it because it completely encloses the tent defeating the entire points of having a mesh tent.
Another good review man! The one thing with guys like us, because I'm just a bit taller than you, is that when I'm out there and in deep in the woods, I think I would go stir crazy if 3 days worth of rain decided to screw up my trip. I at least like being able to sit up without hitting my head on the tent roof. Put some gear in there and you're really in it tight. Hope those sirens were just a test?!
Nice tent. I'd like to know how long the spring up service life is being collapsed in the bag for extended durations? And what is the recommended storage procedure when not being used/sitting unused.
:/ shame about the fly... It touching the netting isn't good for the UK, too much condensation all year round. Though because of this tent I found the IBNS Catoma which you can buy a rainfly for so thank you for the upload, I've been looking for one just like the IBNS for a long time.
so do u ever actually test gear, it's fine saying things like "it'll keep the water out" but how do you know? At least use of a garden hose cld have added some testing to it, or does it go straight onto e-bay
+Adam Smith have you actually watched any of my other videos? i let shelters sit for months in the weather. test them as often as I can...spray them with the hose etc. this is a first look and setup. i typically will do a follow up if an item were to fail such as leak.
I have this tent and love it.... got it from empiretacticalgear.com they ship all over the world too. I am 6 ft tall and it works for me. I can also bring in my medium size pack and use it as a pillow.
i like it, but for me it would be too small, and i dont like the circular rollup............i checked out their site, looks like they have some nice items..........
+Living Survival Yes it is. However I think the Iono rolls up into a nicer package, also i cant even get my car window shade to to fold back up..same principle ..Thanks for the Reply. Love your channel and your very professional reviews!
nope not on this version, trail weight was more important to the end users than a vestibule, check out the armadillo for a touch of vestibule space or the ebns
+Living Survival sweet, sweet. I came across your page recently because I am deployed and have quite a lot of down time. I especially liked the review on that micro stove, I forget what it is called but will probably be buying one to try out. good videos and insight. Thanks.
I have used this tent for maybe 3-4 years now and love it.
Very Good demonstration and explanation, well done. I got it folded back after 3 tries. One of the tries it slipped and opened up in my face haha, no damage done Thank the Great Lord !!!

Sam Smith yeh man I just ordered one so if he doesn't I will I love these tents for hiking
John Oliver to answer your question I have had mine for 4 years and keep it compressed in its stuff sack and it still works perfect.
I have one in the Army and it leaks like crazy even after giving it two coats of camp dry. Definitely need an external rain fly with this.
CJ Sutton was going to get one, surprised to hear you say it leaks...I was looking for something to help keep snakes, spiders & scorpions out of my Aus army hoochie 😊
Great little shelter. Wished it had been around when I went camping on my motorcycle.
+Chris Speak that would be a great use for it.
Thanks for sharing your expertise on the awesome shelter. ATB Von
Nice tent. I'll consider this one when my eureka solitaire no longer serves me.
How is it in the rain?
Nice unit. I just don't like how big it is backed up. Thanks Ben
Oh yeah, well you just sold me on the upgrade to this! I am gonna keep my current one for a backup. great looking tent! can't beat the coyote color out here in the desert environment.
+BlackRifle Survival DO IT
+Living Survival what a damm fine little light weight unit thanks for the vid mate
the sleeve that my armadillo fits in has straps on it so you can lash it to some molle, and it's a single wall tent not close to a double wall.
Great stuff as always, Ben. Keep up the great work.
+Utah Overland Adventures thank you.
Pretty cool. I have the USMC one that is bugnet only that I use with a tarp. I believe sportsman's guide is selling those now. Its mega quick to set up ! Thanks for sharing !
+SurvivalComms thanks for the comment.
dam son I first came to this channel for a good field pack, but now all this other stuff has gotten my attention just as well.
+KillershredsTK ;)
pretty good for a short guy..but the backpackwill go out side
thanks, this has all of the features that I've been looking for
woah except for the price
Hi. Thanks! I am looking to replace my old bivvy bag and I like the look of this. It doesn't have a vestibule or a porch for cooking but then nor does a bivvy bag. +Bob_the_Bomb yep add a lightweight tarp and you would be all set.
Fantastic tent!
Really liking that color.
Good review!
+TheTacticalDefender thanks!
Lol the outtakes of noise interruptions were funny. The tornado siren seems like my luck!
Great looking tent! Im gonna have to check those out!
I was issued one of these to test in 2008. It wasn't bad, the only thing I didn't like was folding it back up lol. What a pain in the ass until you figure it out. I still have it I just don't use it much. I prefer the Snugpak ionosphere.
Would you be interested in selling it?
Great video. I like how it's pretty compact for a pop-ish tent.
This company is interesting. Never heard of it before.
I wonder what that air raid siren was about lol.
+Bi0mad tornado siren test.
Have you ever heard of the mountain hardware bunker tent? That's another cool one person shelter.
+fjidsewff the version I have has a fly that goes over the entire tent.
+fjidsewff nice.
It's magnificent.
Looks like something I'd take to the desert with me. But the pop-up aspect is what puts me off. looks hard to put down and I never think the pools will last.. I'm going to do a bit of research tho
Really like the profile and build of this tent, but at 6'3" would be to small for me
Looks like a great tent - would be an awesome find for Zombie Apocolypse Episode 3 :)
+Doug Snitker lol yep :)
I just got the new oex phoxx 1 backpacking tunnel tent . but know I like your tent
+OOA WILD CAMPING lol
LOL at the air-raid siren going off while reviewing a military tent.
LOL
A neat lightweight swag style tent without the heavy canvas to weigh you down :)
It looks like a really cool tent I would love to have it but I looked it up on Amazon and it is a little pricey
Nice looking tent. Would love to try it out.
Probably not too fun to get in while it's raining. That "bathtub" floor might just be. Ha! Always fantastic reviews Ben.
+SurvivalTech Nord small is good when you want to stay warm and need to cut weight. but yes, fits your body and that is about it.
+Living Survival it's a good point.
+ChrisC30 very good ideas. i'm sure it can be rigged up somehow.
Great review. I'm usually annoyed with UA-cam reviews but you're cool.
Hey Ben what's your favorite lightweight shelter?
Thanks for the review this solo shelter seems awesome!! What is the price??
Where can I buy this tent! I want to ship to The Netherlands
As always Ben Excellent review... If I didn't all ready have one I would go right out and order it. Honestly it is one of my favorite tents.
+Joe Jcm thanks.
I am 6'4" and I fit it in fine. If you are 6'5" or taller, it may not work, but my height or shorter, you should be good to go.
Still, if money were not a hurdle, I might be tempted.
nice. thanks for watching.
That is rather sharp!! i like the Toss & Pop setup.
+K. Howe super simple.
Badass. But I see a few problems.
How well does it pack in various bags? Looks a bit bulky.
How does it compare to the Snugpak Ionosphere? Does it have room for your pack? The Ionosphere looks like it has room for a pack, and that's the tent I'm eyeing.
+NewHampshire Bound it doesn't have room for a pack although most people use their bag as a pillow.
I'm a sucker for tents. Why do you make it so hard on me?
Very nice tent. Thanks.
hey living survival what up any recommendations for a cheap bug out back and can you do more survival kits/bug out bags thx
You said it can fit on a military COT frame, does it have connector buckles to fully attach itself to the frame of the COT, like the IBNS tent does?
Excellent review, thank you.
thanks.
heck Ben what comfy sleep mat would fit this
any
Living Survival roger that
where do I get one? I saw one similar on Amazon but its a complete bug tent with no covers. The rainfly sold separately. I don't like the rain fly that goes with it because it completely encloses the tent defeating the entire points of having a mesh tent.
Thank you!
Badgers? We don't need no stinking Badgers! Oh, it's a tent. May need one then. Got excited there for a minute.
lol
Another good review man! +Erik22552 yeah just a test :)
Nice tent.
I'd like to know how long the spring up service life is being collapsed in the bag for extended durations? And what is the recommended storage procedure when not being used/sitting unused.
+John Oliver Good question on the storing however it doesn't really rely on the spring for it to maintain its shape.
+John Oliver a fella above says he stored his for years and it was okay
can you do a comparison or VS of pros and cons of this tent and the snugpak ionosphere
perfect for what I need.
another great review
I am thinking about getting the EBNS tent by catoma and I was wondering how this tent held up over time quality wise!? thanks!!!!!!
I've had a EBNS for a few years now. It's a kick ass hooch
:/ shame about the fly... It touching the netting isn't good for the UK, too much condensation all year round. Though because of this tent I found the IBNS Catoma which you can buy a rainfly for so thank you for the upload, I've been looking for one just like the IBNS for a long time.
+Binal great stuff :)
great vid Ben how much is that
Does Bono know you have his sunglasses from 10 years ago?
so do u ever actually test gear, it's fine saying things like "it'll keep the water out" but how do you know? At least use of a garden hose cld have added some testing to it, or does it go straight onto e-bay

This is one step away from a snake in a can . lol love it . When are we going to see the next addition to the Wandering Dead by Living Survival ?
+Harvey Zearing hopefully soon. those are actually quite hard to make.
Sorry my friend . I am not being pushy . They are fun to watch though . Thank you for all the hard work .
Harvey Zearing oh i know. believe me i need to get it done ;)
Where can you buy this tent?? I've been searching for a long time now and can't find it
Good-looking tent. Too short for me.
How long is the ridge pole? How many pole sections does it have and how long are they?
Things you don't want to hear while reviewing bugout/survival gear. Emergency Sirens lol.
+8RedBear5 haha, yeah usually it is saturday so it was strange to hear.
This is beauty but unfortunately no shops in eu sells it , which drives me crazy
hey have you tried using it without the pole? I.e does it support itself like the IBNS if you aren't expecting heavy rain?
you can use it without the pole. it does self-stand.
I have this tent and love it.... got it from empiretacticalgear.com they ship all over the world too. I am 6 ft tall and it works for me. I can also bring in my medium size pack and use it as a pillow.
nice
hi from Slovenia
The concept is nice but, I wonder about durability!?
+Italo Rando i've tested a lot of shelters. 70d is pretty durable. obviously dont set it on sharp rocks etc.
dam siren means its time to bug out man , RUN RUN
Not bad tent but not much room for gear if any, not sure if its good for more then one night????
+Neville Longhurst its a quick shelter and light to pack. your pack would be your pillow :)
nice tent great job
That thing is huge
Super cool.
The link does not have this tent
How well does it keep out water?
mate, id call that a swag
+Mux SWAGOOO
that's really cool
Hell of a lot better than a Hammock
Trying to deside, between this and snug back scorpion 2???
this is smaller than a scorpion 2.
i like it, but for me it would be too small, and i dont like the circular rollup............i checked out their site, looks like they have some nice items..........
+ben terwellen they do for sure :)
nice review. However I think ill stick to my ionosphere.
+GraviTyKillz ionosphere is very similar.
+Living Survival Yes it is. However I think the Iono rolls up into a nicer package, also i cant even get my car window shade to to fold back up..same principle ..Thanks for the Reply. Love your channel and your very professional reviews!
GraviTyKillz thanks for watching.
Do they ship to the uk too ?
Hi. How light is it? 8|
Ha ha it's 130 pm weather siren good video .
+better buck beagles michigan lol
no space for the backpack?
nope not on this version, trail weight was more important to the end users than a vestibule, check out the armadillo for a touch of vestibule space or the ebns
$240.00 is too steep, but love the design. I will stick with the original Jack Wolfskin gossamer at that price
Nice
Cool tent but I don't think itll fit my system
I'm 6' 0'' Would this tent be too small?
Would be ok at 6'
nice coat
What is the price?
+tyler frizzell $200 ish.
+Living Survival sweet, sweet. I came across your page recently because I am deployed and have quite a lot of down time. I especially liked the review on that micro stove, I forget what it is called but will probably be buying one to try out. good videos and insight. Thanks.
+tyler frizzell thanks man.
Like it, but the price is WAY too high
+sportnatude23 you call that high? have you ever owned a quality tent before?
Nope... I shop at Walmart. LMAO
only kidding man. pretty much like anything else. the bells and whistles cost.
Living Survival True.
Sounded like a PM 101 video not living survival
what pack is that?
+Aaron Suess (SheepDog2142) kifaru urban zippy
+Living Survival Thx. Will we get a review soon?
Aaron Suess you bet
