Oh come on, they are one trick pony unless we include water maps. They are not as strong and with a pletora of deck of options like ottomans, french or germany. If the TC spam is the thing driving you nuts I suggest you use petards team to snipe them out. Instead of letting you enemy spawn your ass with TC fire and militia. Obviously do so in a way you keep the main combat occupied while your petard get the dirty job done.
In many ways I prefer going Hakapellite with swedes nowadays over caroleans, since: Mobility, even with the charge button haka are much more mobile than caroleans Hakapellite are much less vulnerable to skirms than Carolean since they can run away and in melee they softcounter Since you already have stables if the enemy goes hard on skirms you can easily mix in Hussar or switch to Hussar You can still back up Haka with artillery It makes it much easier for Swedes to raid, and raiding is really important for swedes imo since you need time to get your torp eco up. Players generally don't expect it since most people go carolean with Swedes nowadays Haka are a really fun unit to play with since you can strategically switch melee or trample, and the AOE with their ranged attack is fun.
I use March of the Hakapellits alot cause I see it as a better 3 Hussar shipment. It counters 3 Hussar from the enemy, upgrades my goons, and allows me train more if I want to
it's especially nice since it upgrades base speed rather than multiplies it, so then any native techs like the apache which upgrade speed will have a greater effect
Only way I see making the goons work for Port is to get the native speed bonus, and revolt into Brazil, they have a card that gives goons a really strong lance attack. Would match the hakkas in everything except area of effect.
Well, Italy has a card that gives you 25% of the resources you have already gained (if you have) and 40% of increase in future TP's. It can be interesting in that situation.
@@evanfisher3016 yeah I think walling up with a superior skirm mass might be the only chance. Maybe even with some organs mixed in. I recall organs do quite well against light cav at range due to their relatively low HP.
Watching Portugal being obliterated, man, Christmas did really come early this year!!! 🥳 🥳 🥳 🥳
seeing Ports suffer like this... Makes smile on my face..

Playing Sweden is not easy, specially after the nerfs. Impressive stuff by Shake here.
Portuguese without the 10/10 build order kinda sucks.
It balances ⚖ out the civ's weaknesses, like having a slow start and struggling with pop space.
gooning hard rn
Gooning minors☠️☠️
I really like using trample mode with Trample Tactics when I'm fighting skirms or vils. Each have low enough health for it to be worth it imo.
very nice match and splendid play by shake! would be nice if u showed the stats after the ending. ggs
hakkas' dont need to be switched to melee mode manually unlike any other goons, OP!
Got recommended this video by UA-cam. Are you the same guy who played under the name of 'IAmSoldieR' pre-DE era?
@harshit2470190 yes, indeed!
Shake could also have gone for snaplock and neglegt the range difference
Love your voice Soldier
I think having some pikes in cover mode might have made the Swedes hesitate going in, hakkas are really hard to counter.

Swisher should have teched halbs Cass instead of goons. Wasted so much eco and cards on goons
ATP is a blast from the past. With how boomy DE is, ATP is just never played

Does anyone know a cheap gaming laptop that can run
Aoe3 DE multiplayer without lagging like crazy??
Why do dragoons not counter Haakapelits?
Hakkas are now light cav, same as goons
@@SoldieRaoe So goons don't have a multiplier against light cav? Is this the same as cavalry archers?
@berserker4940 correct. Goons have a bonus vs heavy hand cav like Hussar and uhlan
@@SoldieRaoe Thank you sir!
Swissherguts like revnak but less talented only plays one civ and not even that good with the one either
Hakkas seem incredibly op
Cant red go musks? Feels like he did not adapt at all.
Also, he consistently ran the hakkas into his own villas. Ugh
I believe they trade very well against musks in range and in mass, especially with how upgraded they are and the area damage.
@@barron_theory maybe skirm/musk + stagger mode + walls/towers?

Their biggest weakness is Stagger Mode.
