God I love this. I remember getting the alternate lyrics for this and tabs to play on the old hole forum in 99 when i was 15. I would come home from school and play my guitar and prop up my leg on my amp in front of my mirror and pretend I was a bad ass.
Yes! It gave me goosebumps (the Violet demo outro as well, chills). Anyone that ever started playing an instrument because of this album is getting the feels right now. Where are these versions coming from?
I wouldn't call this version 'punk' sounding. It doesn't really differ from the album version that much. The solo is basically the only real difference. And yes,I have been listening to the album version since the 90s,so...yeah. I would be able to tell. :)
Agreed. Much better without the solo. That chord progression is more than good enough on its own and the way it’s heard right at that part on the finished version is really intense and perfect.
so it's the exact same take, just with a solo overdub between the chorus and verse. There's also another layer of guitar in the outro. What with the way he felt about overdubs, I bet Kurt persuaded Courtney to leave it off. Meh. I prefer the released version and its raw garage band sound. They made the right decision for what it's worth.
The bass is also louder in this version. Love it.
ikr
rest in power kristen
This version feels slightly more haunting IMO, especially the guitar riff at 1:40
your so right jared
Jamie Williams aka Kunjie BentRoy....aka junkie rent boy lol...BRISTOL WAS STUNNING
Should have kept that guitar part.
I fell in love with that riff

I do the same, but it's 2021! :D
ME TOO.
Me too 😭
Do you know the tabs for the solo? I need them so bad
You weren't pretending to be badass; you were badass.

God this is great. Eric is really under rated. Actually they all are.
Why are they? Because of black PR?
@@nickyveronika2088 what do you mean by black pr
Its so harmonious and just amazing
this is cool. A bit more raw, more punky, and that solo is pretty cool indeed.
You gotta love her.
"her"
@@cl-ji9ib “her”? Tf did you mean
@@user-en2hu6wp7pI think they're insinuating Kurt wrote this song
I think I actually like this better than the album one, I absolutely love the solo, and I wish I could figure out how to play it
This is so good! and the solo is perfect. I love the album version but this sounds so punk and amazing. I wish this was the final cut :)
Bass ♡ 0:59
Hoping that's Kristen Pfaff's bass work. RIP
This is amazing, I love the solo!
ugh awesome
clearer voice here
i like this version much better
Harmonies are cleaner it’s lovely!
My fav song of Hole
1 of my favorite!🙏✌️
Patty’s fills before the chorus are awesome.
i like the original version it sounds stronger and better and its one of the best songs of live thru this
I love it 💜
It's the demo version.
Courtney's voice sounds amazing here
i love how the bass i more louder in this version
I can identify with this song because of what i went thru with my dad😀💔🏘🎄🌈🎀🎊☔🐵🍕🐞🌻🍇🚢
For me it was an ex boyfriend
🇵🇾💜
Wow
Well I know it I can't see it... to believe-eve-eve it

i like the version with no solo more than this one...
Sounds like a demo
can i get the pic at 0:17 ?
Sounds mostly the same. I see some difference between the 2. In this versions is slower and I might like it better. But the recording quality?
ANYONE PLS SOMEONE HAVE A TAB FOR SOLO?
How in the fuck did u get this???
Do you have the tab for the solo ? Fantastic!
Still love this song... but I prefer album version to this. Maybe just because that version is burned into my brain.
i will pay you my soul if anyone figures out the tabs or chords for 1:40
same
How hard can it be?
is this as rare as deftones drive far away acoustic video?
The solo is extraneous. Not awful but not "amazing" and I'm glad it's not on the finished version.

probaly is a rough mix
took out all the tape hiss and distortion. no. bad. don't do that. don't try to make Jennifer's body Malibu
this is not rare 1994 live threw this album
trust be i was 19 and had the album
courtney love: horrible human, great musician
Album version is way better...
