After playing around with LS engines so much the last 10 years or so I'm starting come to the conclusion that Ford did a fine job of overcomplicating everything after the invention of the mod motor vs the windsor based engines.
Right on Mr. Black, I'm not much of an engine guy. What's with the LS motors. And Ford didn't really do anything special here. All manufacturers figured out the whole inferred sensor thing to save a few bucks on production costs. They most likely stole the idea from the Japanese. Lol -Chuck

Great video. What model fluke are you using? Looks like 115 or 117. I’m a recently retired mechanic and I miss the fluke 87 that belonged to my employer. My wife got me a fluke 117 for Christmas and I was wondering if I should upgrade to a 87 or if the 117 will be sufficient for working on my own cars, trucks, boats, etc that I work on part time.
Thanks for watching. The Fluke 115 was purchased by my employer in 2007. The 117 replaced the 115 with a few additional functions. I’m not familiar with the 87. -Chuck
@@PanzerPlatform the fluke 87 has features like temperature, more precise DC amp readings, such as micro amp readings, etc. both meters appear to have high impedance so it won’t put a load on the circuit being tested. Not sure if I will ever need micro amp settings though. Since the specs for 117 states it will read as low as .001 amps (if I read the specs correctly)
@@bubba.watercraftj7269 I use a separate meter for "amp clamp" measurements. UNI-T UT210E Pro It was only $60, and the mA accuracy is right on the money with my Fluke.
@@PanzerPlatform it's already tinted at 35 percent all around. I asked because it looks like the front windows of Alex's car is tinted and I read that wasn't allowed. In Indiana it's legal to do all windows (except windshield)
Technically it’s not allowed in Cali either. For the most part they don’t bother you unless you doing something else wrong, like speeding. They will tack on a tint citation to something else, but for the most part they don’t pull you over for tint only.
I got a 09 p71. When starting it falls and stalls then when I restart it it will take a few sec then start and run fine . I have replaced a ton afternoon parts .
Yo LC, Thanks for stopping by. Questions like yours are what is so helpful to all the guys in the Panther Car Community. Chances are there are a bunch more people with the same exact issue, and they also want help figuring out how to diagnose it. In order to help the most people, and so everyone can benefit from the information, that’s why I do the “Viewer Question” & “Guess The Malfunction” videos. I don’t have all the answers for all the years, and models of Panther Cars. But chances are someone has your exact model, and year, and they have first hand experience diagnosing the cause. The best way I've found is to make a short 1 minute video showing, describing, and explaining your malfunction. Here is a perfect example how to do it; ua-cam.com/video/rTugE6sGmrM/v-deo.html Let me know if you upload the video to your channel. I will download it, and post it on my channel. @@lit_cab Yo LC, Thanks for taking the time. I’ve got the video loaded up, and ready to be published in a few minutes. In the mean time try this; 1.) Let the car sit over night. Before you try to start the engine, only turn the key on so it illuminates the lights in the instrument cluster, and wait 10 seconds. 2.) Turn the key off, and do it it again second time. 3.) This time turn the key all the way, and start the engine. If the engine fires up like it should without any hesitation it usually means your fuel pump has “lost it’s prime”. This means when you shut your car off the fuel line from the fuel pump in the tank all the way to the injectors in the engine have lost pressure, and the fuel is bleeding back into the gas tank. This usually means the fuel pump has malfunctioned, and requires replacement. The OEM Ford Part Number the fuel pump for your 2009 CVPI is AW1Z-9H307-C They cost around $450. Aftermarket fuel pumps for your 2009 CVPI are around $70. If you have to pay a shop to install it, it takes around 2 hours of shop labor. Or you can install it yourself. If you don’t have the money, or the time to fix it right now you can just keep doing the manual fuel prime as described above. -Chuck
