Agree. If you're going to spend so much money 💰 for a perfume, it better last and there's nothing, no other perfume that lasts longer than La Vie est Belle. It's smells so beautiful, so feminine and long lasting and that's why I will always have La Vie est Belle in my fragrance collection ♥️.
At least this shows up when u spray it. So tired of weak watery perfumes with no power whatsoever.!! This stuff has presence n personality. So to me, it's not a waste of money. 😘
This is so true! I have immense love and respect for this perfume because of how long lasting it is and how beautiful it smells! I will forever use this perfume and also have backups for this. ❤️
I’ve never smelled it but I sure do miss the days when perfumes were much stronger and would last all day and even the next day. Perfumes are so different now.
I literally ran down a super market aisle about 3 weeks ago following a trail of divine scent. I said you must tell me what are you're wearing ? I was half expecting her to say Flowerbomb. She couldn't remember and had to look it up on her phone and it was this Lancome fragrance. I just LOVE it and want it and will get it soon.
It's amazing if it works on your skin. As it's really strong, you only need one small spray. I only use a mini spray or a few drops on 1 wrist, tap it to the other wrist and then tap on my neck. Lasts all day long, but deadly if over sprayed. It's a sillage monster, so less is more. The Patchouli makes it great for me but others hate it. That's why test it first. Once you try the original, you can try other amazing flankers like the Intense one (actually not a more intense one but it has hazelnut and tuberose. .it's actually my favorite one) and the L'eclat which to my nose smells like an orange blossom version almost as if Alien and LVEB came together. I love them all!❤❤❤
@@boogiepimp78 Oh lovely !! Ive never paid any attention to this particular perfume, I think its probably only because Im not a fan of Julia Roberts so it never registered. But Im excited to get it and the flankers you've mentioned. Lovely, thank you.
I love it. On me it smells like a vanilla/orange liqueur. It's best worn on cooler days and never near the face either back of neck or inner elbows :) Never more than 2 sprays
I like this a lot and own it. At first, I said "No, not for me," but as I've learned since, one should give a perfume a fair chance and actually wear it a number of times, see how it develops. What really sold me, was when I was sitting there one day after applying it hours earlier, already having forgot that I'd put it on, and smelled this beautiful floral, iris, etc. Whiffs of it came to my nose all day long. It was intoxicating. I then realized it was LVEB. Oddly enough to me, it's not that sweet at all and find the patchouli nicely smooth, but I guess everyone's olfactory senses differ. Then again, I'm a person that has loved Dior's Poison since it came out in '85 when I was ten! LVEB, it's a beautiful scent done well IMO.
Omg I love LVEB also but when you said you use to wear & loved Poison I almost cried. I wore Poison for years esp going out partying bc it’s so sexy to me. Still have some I don’t want to finish the bottle bc I don’t know if they still sell it.
I love this scent because it mixes well with my natural scent (natural chemicals). It has a unique scent when I put it on. And it smells different in the afternoon than in the morning when I first put it on.
I swar me too 😂 i told my sister this perfume makes me feel safe and happy 😂 she didn't get me 😂 I've been wearing it my whole life and everytime i change it i back to it ❤
I was SO curious about this perfume, since it's indeed one of the best-selling (women) perfumes. I was quite disappointed when I got a sample of it. I had the same experience with 'Chanel 5' and 'Flowerbomb'. When something is hyped, your expectations are high but sometimes it's just not your taste. As for Flowerbomb I couldn't find a sample anywhere, but since it was a favorite/classic to a lot of women, I couldn't resist the curiousness that I actually bought a full 100 ml bottle without knowing how it smells (costing €123, absolutely ridiculous, this comes down to more than 1 euro per milliliter, and when you buy a 30 ml bottle of Flowerbomb (costing 60 euro's) it even comes down to 2 euros per milliliter! Absolute absurdity, definitely since it only costs them 5 euro's to make it!) but anyway, with all 3 perfumes I didn't understand the hype at all. Just goes to show again that taste is so subjective, and you should always go off on your own taste, researching the perfume notes! That having said, based upon the popularity I've also ordered Black Opium once, and I fell in love with it the second I smelled it! One of the best perfumes I've EVER smelled, my god. And without the hype I probably would've never discovered that perfume, so "blindly" buying perfumes can go both ways :-)
I didn’t like FB at all when I first wore it so I didn’t touch it again for about 6 to 8 months and I said let me give it another try because people were still raving about it and this time I really paid attention to the dry down and I like it actually I love it now, so you have to give it a chance, maybe try it again
I know LVEB gets shade from fragrance connoisseurs because it's so popular. Typically I wear hard hitting classics like Chamade & Vol de Nuit but LVEB is a true love of mine too, same goes for Black Opium. There's a reason why they're selling so well, they're beautiful perfumes.
Hi Ruthanne, fellow APN here. I follow your channel also. I love LVEB also. I love that it smells so beautiful and makes me feel very feminine whenever I wear it; and although it is expensive, it's worth every penny because it's so long lasting, making it the best value for the money. No other perfume comes close to the longevity of LVEB. La Vie est Belle is a masterpiece.
I actually avoided Black Opium and LVEB because of all the negativity they recieved. This year I tested them both and they have quickly become some of my favorites, especially as the weather (sorta) cools down. They are both soooo cozy and lovely and I ALWAYS get compliments on them both. I hate that I bought into that "it's popular so I must avoid it" mentality. I'm done with that. These are GREAT.
Hah, I'm not alone👏😁 I don't like it at all, -I can't stand iris, the patchouli is way too sharp, almost suffocating. Too many ppl wear it-nothing special, almost getting boring. Nope, not for me😊
OMG 😱 I had that perfume too and yes received tones of complements but I couldn’t handled the scent anymore, after I sprayed it, felt overwhelmed and nauseated 🤢 following with the headache. Gave it to one of my friends. I totally understand you.
I don't like it either, I personally don't find it too sweet but just way too harsh and 'sharp' smelling, similar to what you said about patchouli scratching your throat. It's kinda nice in small amounts, but I personally would not wear it.
Great review! I’m a fan 🙈 and love this in cooler/cold weather. I hear about it more on UA-cam, then smell it around me for sure! I think the frag community makes it even more popular imo.
Delicious Delights Totally agree! I’m from FL, so maybe because of the hot weather I get a lot of D&G Light Blue, Coco Mademoiselle and The MJ Daisy line. That’s not to say I don’t get a whiff of LVEB every now and again 😜 Love you channel! 😘
I brought this with the body cream, love the body cream but this probably is the only perfume I have gone heavy handed with and regretted it because it literally stays with you all day and can be very intense.
Thanks so much for talking about this! I thought there was something wrong with me. I find this fragrance to be so strong it’s sickening for me. I was so excited to try it because of everyone raving about but when I got it I was so disappointed 😞 Thanks so much for your honest review.💕
Mix it with the Chanel mademoiselle perfume you will thank me later; however, you may have to use the 5-point fragrance application method for endless compliments.
I had bought a roller ball of this because it was popular but I'm not wowed by it like other people. I've had it for almost a year and still have 3/4 of it left. I hardly ever reach for it because of its abrasiveness. To me, there's better out there.
I could wear this all the time theirs definately nothing wrong with it's sweet cosy it's absolutely gorgeous I get compliments it's so gourmande so comforting
It’s one of my favorites though😍😍 It’s ok. I like hearing from others how some fragrances don’t work on them. I respect your opinion. Strangely, in my country, everybody wears Philosykos and no one wears La Vie est Belle, so I kind of like it a lot. I never wear it during the warmer months though.
I have been able to use a sample vial and have it last for months as you only need a few drops! 😂 In my opinion, most people who hate it try it on like it's a regular perfume with multiple sprays and then choke themselves out. It's so strong it needs micro applications...lol. I still smell it all day when I wear it like I do and I love it so much.
I find it very "abrasive" , also it gave me a huuuge migraine when I tried it for the first time. I sprayed it on my skin without trying on a blotter first( never again). It was impossible to get ready of the smell, even after showering it was still present. Now It makes me gag every time I get the tiniest waft of it. So sad as I normally love every single note that's listed.
Aww this is a love! Looking at the reviews online, it is also the most hated perfume due to it mass appeal and the side eye it gets from niche perfume lovers when they see this. This definitely works for me and most Lancome fragrances. Thanks for your review Arlene, take care xo
I can only spray it once on me as its very strong. I love to wear it in the winter and when i go to nightclubs ☺. My ultimate perfume and signature scent is Armani Diamonds the original.
Well, I'm not alone here. I can't stand it. The first time I smelled it I thought it smelled like Midnight Rose, which I don't like either. It's too sweet, too loud, too invasive. Whenever a lady wearing this hugs you, you end up smelling like it and if you're wearing something delicate like N°19 Poudrée, it gets drowned. I love iris and patchouli, but not like in this particular composition. To each their own, but this one is not for me.
Oh my gosh, YES!! I bought a sample to see what all the fuss is about and it was a scrubber for me. Total headache inducer- so sweet and so strong. This is the type of smell that a lot of non-perfume wearers hate because it’s so in your face. Not a fan at all.
Oh wow! I usually do not love gourmands but this is now my fav! I like that it lasts on me - most other perfumes i love - Hermes - le jardin etc and Twilly - Chanel Eau Fraiche Chance - none last on me longer than a few hours. Breaks my heart. I moisturise my skin well - tho cannot always afford to buy the accompanying body lotions to the perfumes i purchase. thank you as always, for your great and candid reviews! so very helpful.
I agree with on this one it's excessively sweet almost cloying, too much sweetnes (praline, tonka, vanilla, patchouli),the Lancome tresor la nuit on top of all this has caramel, it's unberable like you cover your self with syrup.Dont get me wrong I like sweet perfumes and all off this ingredients but this is too much .Also in the same category Flowerbomb ,YSL mon Paris ect...
I somewhat agree with you. I think I spray a few too many sprays on a very humid day. I think I’ll like it more in the winter and reduce the sprays to 3.
I don’t like it at all and would never, ever wear it. Too sweet, too vanilla heavy, too not me! This past week a woman stopped me and said, “oh, you’re wearing Lancôme!” “No, I said, I’m wearing an Italian Niche perfume called “Laudano Nero” by Tiziana Terenzi .” She stared at me and said, “No, I KNOW what you’re wearing, it’s “La Vie est Belle!” as she huffed off,🤪
Delicious Delights, I feel the same way about La Vie Est Belle. I also get the exact same reaction from Alien, which I love but can't wear due to possibly getting a headache.
This is my all time favorite perfume. Iam a nurses and all my patients love it on me cause it’s not very loud. It’s stays on for 12 hrs . . I get more compliments on this perfume than I do on baccarat rouge 540. Love it….❤️❤️
I also struggled with this scent. I got it as a gift for my birthday years back and loved it at first! It’s a divine fragrance! After about a year or so something changed and I just couldn’t wear it anymore. I passed it along to my sister who enjoys it :)
La Vie Est Belle made me feel nauseous the last two times I wore it. I will most likely never purchase it again. I grew sick of it; literally sick in a physical sense. Have never experienced such a strong negative reaction with any other perfume.
It's nice to see you review a popular perfume based on your experience/perspective. Trashing on popular products seems to be a thing for youtubers. Thanks for the detailed review 😀
I have never felt tempted to smell this but will after your review! I completely see what you mean Arlene and I have experienced that with a few modern perfumes, even niche. It’s not that I dislike the smell, it’s something else and they make me queasy/ headachy and can feel them at the back of my mouth in a way difficult to describe. The most visceral effect of this kind I had with the Ormonde Jayne line- they all give me a headache oddly ( I never have headaches) and can’t stand spraying my sample set. I think some aroma chemicals cause sensitivity in some people.
Yeah I have been really surprised to see so many reviewers saying that it's a safe blind buy and a safe gift. I just... no. I don't like it *at all.* It's pretty much the exact opposite of what I enjoy in a perfume.
I love La Vie Est Belle EDP, Intense and L’Absolu. Impatiently waiting for the brand new LVEB Intensément to arrive in Canada! Would love to hear what you think about that one, Arlene. If it’s been released where you live yet.
So I guess you won't be reviewing the new "La Vie Est Belle Intensement"? Lol. I love watching your videos and I'm very curious to hear your thoughts on that flanker! :-)
We don't all have to love every single scent, that's why there's so many; so we can all have what we each enjoy. Black opium is my one; it's so ridiculously overpopular but it's my guilty pleasure lol. I gotta be in the mood for it. But again, we all have different tastes. I personally think this is a very well done reveiw and at least it's honest
I'm an older woman but I have a massive sweet tooth! I tried to procure Decadence by Marc Jacobs after it was discontinued but ended up with a fake. I could smell it...for a little while and it was so SWEET. I loved the jammy gooey plum and vanilla and I'm guessing I may actually like La Vie Est Belle. I'll try it, because I still morn Decidence.
Thank you! I always wondered what that dry, scratchy, powdery feeling was! That’s the only thing that prevents me from liking this perfume more. Gives me anxiety
Great review Arlene.👍🏼 I have this one but hardly wear it! I have to really be in the mood and then just a couple of sprays only - then I really love it.💕☺️
When you sprayed that strip 3 times 😱 one spray to the back of my neck is the best way to enjoy this wonderful and STRONG fragrance. Also, how are you smelling patchouli?? That's the one note in this fragrance that has me scratching my head.. I only came across another person wearing it on 2 separate occasions lol
Same. Even though the fragrance community will say 'everyone wears this, it's basic....etc' ...I don't really smell it, except once in blue moon, on others. Wear what makes you happy!
In my opinion a good part of its popularity may lie in the fact that it's an easily accessible design house. It's not only easy to find, but easy on the pocketbook as well. As for me, I'm not a fan of any of the perfumes that Lancome offers. They smell far too synthetic. Plus, they tend to be so sweet they end up giving me a headache. I also find them to be a little uninspired.
I thought I was maybe of the small minority or the only one that doesn't like the scent. To me it has a similar personality as Marc Jacobs Decadence, kind of dark and heavy. Also in the same family is Jessica Simpson's fragrance in the round dark green bottle ( can't think of the name of the fragrance).
Btw - love your hair! Style is super on you! I just got a similar cut but my hair is rather thin (it never recovered from chemo in 2016) but my stylist is super cuts on a very fine edge so it looks like i have more volume
I actually don't think it is extremely sweet. The patchouli Mellows the sweetness ...Also because you said it is strong now I want to buy a full bottle for sure. Still I appreciate your expertise on parfums
Wow! and thank you! I usually am NOT a fan of gourmands... but this one i love! I typically gravitate to anything by Jean Claude Ellena - un jardin sur.. series.. Le Nil being my favourite. I purchased two samples: this one and Givenchy L'Interdit - now wow, that one.. total grape candy to my nose. so funny how we all perceive in very unique ways. Thank you again!
I’ve got this perfume and I like it but I have to admit it’s overly sweet. On mine skin it smells exactly like cotton candy. Little childish... I still like it though.
Gold Lattes well I don’t agree with you. Just because Flowerbomb does smell the least artificial of all three. It’s the most expensive one and you can smell that. The opening is very strawberriesh and later on it becomes this powdery-sweet-floral-bouquet with slightly-oriental-touches. I didn’t say that Lveb is bad. But I find Fb just better in comparison (smellvise).
La vie eat Belle Iris edition is beautiful. Softer, still projects well and is waaaay less sickly sweet than the og. It feels worlds apart from the original to me and in the best way possible ❤️
I feel so bad, my boyfriend just gave me this for my birthday and I’m so happy and grateful for the gift. However, I hate vanilla and patchouli in fragrances it’s definitely not my style or to my liking. I’m more of a fresh clean, floral fruity scent like my personal favorites DKNY Be Delicious or Ralph Lauren Romance.
I’m a migraine sufferer and I have the same reaction to this perfume. I get both a headache and a choking sensation as well as nauseous. I also had the same reaction to a vanilla roller ball. I love the vanilla in other things like Chanel Jersey so it’s not like I can just say it’s Vanilla across the board. I really don’t think we’re rare in having this reaction to this perfume. Well, maybe a little rare but certainly we’re not alone. I do wish people wouldn’t act like we’re overreacting or personally insulting their taste in perfume. I think of it like an allergic reaction. I love cats but I’m very allergic to them. It’s not a preference, we’re having a physiologically distressing involuntary reaction.
Your reaction to this perfume was the same as mine. Migraine inducing/nauseating and that's just my reaction to it. I was so excited to try it because of the reviews and was so surprised to find that I can't stand it :( Just curious, which perfumes have you fallen in love with? I'd love to know! (maybe we have a similar scent profile) :D
@@oulladahhan6954 One I love is Chanel Coco Noir. I believe there’s a very positive review of it on this channel. The older formulation had a better dry down but I still love it. I like Coco Mademoiselle. I don’t adore it but I like it and strangely enough if I have a slight headache this helps. Weird, I know. I love Chanel Chance eau tendre, EDP. It’s a simple smooth happy perfume, well rounded. It’s also a compliment getter. I have discovered that even if I don’t like some Chanel perfumes I never have a bad reaction/migraine etc.. Guerlain perfumes are frequently a problem sadly. I like Bvlgari fragrances. I want to try more. The Vert is my favorite (so far) and I love Pour Homme Soir on my husband. I also like Kate Walsh Boyfriend, a woody Amber vanilla with myrrh. And Outremer Vanille is an inexpensive treat if you want to smell like you’ve just been baking sugar cookies. I’d love to hear yours. I read a review of la vie est belle on Fragrantica that said “I would rather be stuck on an elevator with a psychopath than ever smell this perfume again.” That made me laugh because I swear that perfume was trying to kill me. At least I’d have a fighting chance with the psychopath. 😁
I love your reviews! My mom who is very sensitive to fragrances said she could not smell it on me😂🤣😂😂omg I cannot believe this beast mode is very light on me??? I don’t have it and agree too many wear it anyway... I really want Amo Feragamo due to your review I think that one is right down my alley!💖💖💖💖
I’ve been wearing it for six hours. I loved it at first but now the patchouli is kicking in and I have a headache. I’m so glad I decided to wait until tomorrow before I placed my online order.
I loved this perfume when I tried it on me and it was very cold outside at the time and the cold wind made this scent even more beautiful and 5 years later I finally caves in and bought the biggest bottle and for some reason, I do not like it as much I loved it 5 years ago. So sad because this perfume is not cheap. Maybe I will love it again by not over-spraying lol
Sadly I was really dissapointed with this perfume. Thankfully I only got a tiny mini size bottle. I've smelled a few different dupes/imitations of La Vie Est Belle and every time I thought "wow... This smells so cheap. The perfume must smell better than this." Um.. well... No, not exactly.. For me it pretty much smells exactly like the dupes I've tried for it, except better in lasting power and the sweetness lasts longer. For me it starts out smelling like blueberry pie and then it quickly turns into this weird, spicy powdery smell that just smells like a basic powder scented deodorant (the worst scent of deo in my opinion.)
Did you ever tried the absolu version? Its something else... 💗💥 40 ml is around 130 euro but than you have a masterpiece! So so different than the original or any other la vie est belle in the collection. People follow me on the street 2 ask me what i am wearing. Its so beautiful
I just bought it today. I was confused between Chanel Allure and this. This blew my mind. One of the best scents I've ever smelled. Nonetheless, this will be part of my collection now 😊
I can wear la via belle of any kind but I know exactly what you mean. When I wear jlo glow and Rihanna rebel flur I always get a headache it is so strange
I thought I was the only one! I hate this perfume, it burns my nose and also makes me nauseous and gives me headaches. And yup it is a monster, in my clothing it can last upto a month (jackets) I don’t know, I just didn’t like it and my husband bought me the 3.4 oz bottle 😓, I’m afraid of trying La nuit Tresor from Lancome.
It’s going to be too strong when you douse a test strip or yourself with it. A half a spray of this is enough. I love it though and always will. Fragrance is 1,000% subjective.
Oh I’m with you there Arlene😉Yeah I found it far too overpowering and I couldn’t escape it!ha Great performance though...I’ll give it that😉Personally I can’t understand why it’s so popular to be honest...but that’s just my little ol’ opinion🤷🏻♀️Yeah....just not for me😉
I like it. But. But, I spray very sparingly. Either on the back of my neck or back of my knees. Otherwise it’s just too much. If you haven’t already, try the EDT. It’s like the quieter little sister to the EDP. I wear the EDT much more often. The patchouli doesn’t come out and bite you! And the LVEB l’éclat EDT is like their effortlessly beautiful auntie. The flankers are actually better! I know how much you hate D&G The Only One......they now have an intense version. I am curious to hear your thoughts on it. It’s quite different from the original.
Is the EDT discontinued? I don't think I've seen it in stores here. The Only One Intense...I haven't seen it in my country yet, but I'll keep an eye out for it :)

To each their own, this beautiful perfume will be in my collection as long as it's made. 🤷🏼♀️
Same, its one of my faves :)
I am in love with this perfume. Always will be 🤗♥️ Is the iris and the vanilla I really enjoy. And it's so long lasting! It's really worth my money.
Ditto.
Yes, 1000%.

Hi Arlene, I thought you gave a very fair and balanced review of La Vie Est Belle 🙂
Thanks Caroline, I appreciate it! :)
yES, I love this fragrance but it is way too sweet for everyday wear for me. It's for those occasions that I want to be someone totally different.

They are both soooo cozy and lovely and I ALWAYS get compliments on them both. I hate that I bought into that "it's popular so I must avoid it" mentality. I'm done with that. These are GREAT.
I really don’t like it....I never understood the hype ..just too sweet for me ..
Hah, I'm not alone👏😁 I don't like it at all, -I can't stand iris, the patchouli is way too sharp, almost suffocating. Too many ppl wear it-nothing special, almost getting boring. Nope, not for me😊
I think a lot of people are burned out by LVEB. It’s everywhere. A bestseller in so many countries.
Yes, I was at an event last week and I swear, I smelled LVEB on at least 5 people :)
OMG 😱 I had that perfume too and yes received tones of complements but I couldn’t handled the scent anymore, after I sprayed it, felt overwhelmed and nauseated 🤢 following with the headache. Gave it to one of my friends.
I totally understand you.
I agree with you. Additionally, I can't tell the difference between LVEB and Flowerbomb. They are too much! 🌸 💐
They're quite similar for sure :)
9
I guess I won’t like Flowerbomb, either.
Same for me. I don't smell this everywhere and will always love it and have this in my collection.
Ahh I suppose it just depends on where someone's from. Where I am, I smell it very often on others when I'm out and about :)
I like high performance perfumes. I think it’s great I bought the EDP
I still smell it all day when I wear it like I do and I love it so much.
boogiepimp78 Exactly!
It's nice to hear that you love this one and it works well for you :)
It's definitely one of the best performing designer perfumes I've ever experienced :)
It gives me a headache too. I don’t know if it’s the actual perfume itself, or the fact that whenever people wear it they seem to do a million sprays.
@@amyn.7021 I can't stand it. it sucks
I sprayed it once in a store. Thought it was awful. Thought it would never fade away. Not for me that's for sure.
💯
Thank you for your honest opinion. You saved me from even buying a sample.
I'm with you - just don't care for this scent on me. Seems all have it - wearing it - just generic to me. Do love the latest Lancome - Idole.
Aww this is a love! Looking at the reviews online, it is also the most hated perfume due to it mass appeal and the side eye it gets from niche perfume lovers when they see this. This definitely works for me and most Lancome fragrances. Thanks for your review Arlene, take care xo
You're very welcome, and take care too :D
Ahhh 19 Poudree...LOVE that one! :)
Girl!!! If you wanna sell it, you just let me know lol! Its my favvvvvvvv perfume and i would so buy it from you!
I plan on reviewing Flowerbomb sometime soon ;)
I somewhat agree with you. I think I spray a few too many sprays on a very humid day. I think I’ll like it more in the winter and reduce the sprays to 3.
Yes! Definitely better in the winter
Too strong
Lol
I don’t like it at all and would never, ever wear it. Too sweet, too vanilla heavy, too not me! This past week a woman stopped me and said, “oh, you’re wearing Lancôme!” “No, I said, I’m wearing an Italian Niche perfume called “Laudano Nero” by Tiziana Terenzi .” She stared at me and said, “No, I KNOW what you’re wearing, it’s “La Vie est Belle!” as she huffed off,🤪
😆
Susie Klein Some people eh?ha funny old world😉
Lol! :D
Lol
Delicious Delights, I feel the same way about La Vie Est Belle. I also get the exact same reaction from Alien, which I love but can't wear due to possibly getting a headache.
This is my all time favorite perfume. Iam a nurses and all my patients love it on me cause it’s not very loud. It’s stays on for 12 hrs . . I get more compliments on this perfume than I do on baccarat rouge 540. Love it….❤️❤️
I feel sorry for your patients. I would request a new nurse. Far too potent and sickening.
@@Laroc1982 girl😂
I also struggled with this scent. I got it as a gift for my birthday years back and loved it at first! It’s a divine fragrance! After about a year or so something changed and I just couldn’t wear it anymore. I passed it along to my sister who enjoys it :)
Am a man and i wear it, it is dangerously compliment getter, serious compliments.
La Vie Est Belle made me feel nauseous the last two times I wore it. I will most likely never purchase it again. I grew sick of it; literally sick in a physical sense. Have never experienced such a strong negative reaction with any other perfume.
Years ago oxygene by lanvin made me nauseous.
Same !!! I purchase a 10ml sample, wearing it every day.
One week later, I was ready to vomit 🤢
I think the same!! Too sweet. I really don't like it when I hug my friends.
Greetings from Italy
The magic of this perfume comes out an hour after you spray it.
I absolutely love this. It actually makes me feel happy! 🥰
Lol...I might do anyway, just for fun :)
Thanks Samantha I appreciate it! :)
Thanks to intensément its THE ONLY Thing I love in the La vie este belle line
I suppose it depends on location? I was at an event last week where I and smelled LVEB on at least 5 people in a group of about 200 :)
No i was shocked how much she sprayed and called it strong 💀 i literally just spray two times and im set for the rest of the day.
Thank you so much for your extremely honest review!! It saved me!
I don't understand the hype with this one. The L'absolu version is much better.
I agree! The absolu has a canned milk note I love.
Is it just me or does it smell like a Granny perfume (when sprayed freshly)?
Yeah I got that too I don’t want to smell like an old woman
Initially yes, but once it settles in a few minutes , it is DIVINE.
Yesss
I think it will be a classic a couple of decades from now! Save ur bottles
I liked your video so much that now I am going to buy La vie est belle ! 😃
Love it! Makes me happy! 🥰
I bought this for my sister for Christmas. I hope she likes it, she likes sweet and vanilla fragrances. I will warn her to use it sparingly...😕
I’m so tired of smelling LVEB everywhere I live. It’s like the Ugg boots of fragrance.
Wow! and thank you!
You are so welcome!
It's been awhile since I smelled the original, but I absolutely ❤ the Iris Absolu flanker. Iris Absolu isn't beast mode, but it does perform well.
I’ve got this perfume and I like it but I have to admit it’s overly sweet. On mine skin it smells exactly like cotton candy. Little childish... I still like it though.
lemenja80 Mine too 🙄
it's in the same vein like Black Opium and Flowerbomb. My least favorite ist LVEB, than BO, first place FB.
I do wonder sometimes if Flowerbomb were in an ugly bottle unlabelled, if it would be as popular as it is. Hmm...
Delicious Delights same here. I don’t see all the hype about FB. it’s not even that strong on my skin. It’s ok but not great. I love LVEB tho!
Delicious Delights I don’t understand why you find the bottle ugly? It’s luxurious for sure.
It's the thought that counts.
Have you tried D&G Light Blue? Also the green Chanel Chance comes to mind for that scent profile.
I was so excited to try it because of the reviews and was so surprised to find that I can't stand it :(
Just curious, which perfumes have you fallen in love with?
It absolutely is an allergic reaction. It needs to be banned from workplaces, hospitals, and any other enclosed space. It’s atrocious.
I agree Arlene, it's definitely too sickly sweet for me. Also I think Chanel does patchouli perfumes way better.
I love your reviews! My mom who is very sensitive to fragrances said she could not smell it on me😂🤣😂😂omg I cannot believe this beast mode is very light on me??? I don’t have it and agree too many wear it anyway... I really want Amo Feragamo due to your review I think that one is right down my alley!💖💖💖💖
the intensement not for me doesn't last long l will stick to Lavie original it lasts all day l love it😍😍
I love the smell of it but it gives me a headache. So I went with Versace's Bright Crystal.
Is it to bad(lancome)? Act I do wearing Vercase's Bright Crystal for a years and really enjoyy itt..
@@ChaCha-xg6sv I'm not sure about that. Lancome has a very fruity smell. It depends if you can withstand it's strong smell for long.
I like LVEB but I agree it can be too much so two sprays max. It has amazing silage and lasting power and it’s my most complimented perfume. 😊
I’ve been wearing it for six hours. I loved it at first but now the patchouli is kicking in and I have a headache. I’m so glad I decided to wait until tomorrow before I placed my online order.
Glad you were able to test it out first 😊
When I first smelt it I was put off by the strong black current medicinal opening. But when it dried down I love it.
Oh no! I hope you can make it work somehow :)
Sadly I was really dissapointed with this perfume. Thankfully I only got a tiny mini size bottle. I've smelled a few different dupes/imitations of La Vie Est Belle and every time I thought "wow... This smells so cheap. The perfume must smell better than this."
Um..
40 ml is around 130 euro but than you have a masterpiece! So so different than the original or any other la vie est belle in the collection.
People follow me on the street 2 ask me what i am wearing.
Its so beautiful
I can’t wear this either or Vanilla Woods by 7 Virtues or Luna by Nina Ricci. Notes are similar. They all turn my stomach.
I just bought it today. I was confused between Chanel Allure and this. This blew my mind. One of the best scents I've ever smelled. Nonetheless, this will be part of my collection now 😊
Beautiful smell but unfortunately the most nauseating perfume I ever tried!!
I can wear la via belle of any kind but I know exactly what you mean. When I wear jlo glow and Rihanna rebel flur I always get a headache it is so strange
Can you believe I only tried it for the first time a year ago? I found I enjoyed the absolu version best.
The only perfume in mu collection ,getting complement every time I used it
I thought I was the only one!
Completely agree :)
I totally agree with you. It’s too cloying and suffocating for me. I’m trying to get it, but in trying to get it, I get a headache lol
You and I both agree on this scent. I cannot get passed that top note. It’s rather annoying!! I’m glad it doesn’t last long on my skin.
Delicious Delights I hope it’s not discontinued!
