Thank you! This was really easy to follow and very helpful. By far the best K'Tan video I have found. I've been having problems getting my newborn in the Kangaroo position. This was much easier! He went from being fussy to asleep as soon as I got him in. Thanks again!
Thank you! Your video is the best video I've found. Your step by step narration is extremely helpful. I really like how you explained that I need to be aware of his legs, head, and etc. Your belly button reference made me more confident that I did it correctly!
Right? I have a moby wrap for my now 3yr old and now i hv a newborn again and my moby has become super unappealing when i saw the Baby K'tan! I just got my baby k'tan so im here for tutorials to learn the ways to wear my LO. And my moby, is gonna hang out in my closet for now!!
I love how there isn't miles and miles of fabric! You said this carrier is a xs size and that currently when you did the video you are a size medium shirt. What size were you pre baby? Is it easy to nurse in? Does the size still work for you today?
Pre baby I was a small shirt size (usually a size 2 or 4). The size would work for me now, six months in, but I haven't used it in a while! It would be more difficult for me to nurse in a K'tan than most other carriers because you can't adjust it to lower the baby.
Hi, thanks for this video. I have a 9 week old who doesn't quite have head control yet, but is very curious & wants to look around, which position (perhaps modified) is ideal to hold a 9 week old? (He resists the newborn position but may not be ready for the hug position). I have the K'tan
Just out of curiosity, what is the benefit of using the legs out position rather than the other newborn hold they show in the booklet? Also, until what age can you use this position?
I personally find it more secure and comfortable to wrap legs out, and then I don't need to worry about placing too much pressure on his little feet. Many babywearing educators recommend wearing legs out from birth in a wrap or sling so that the natural position of the newborn's hips and legs is preserved. If you are mindful of how your baby is placed into the pocket you can achieve the same position when wearing legs in so we suggest following your baby's lead :) Just be sure to check the feet periodically to be sure there are no issues with circulation, etc.
April Pitts It doesn't stretch that easily, you should really need to tug to get the fabric to the front :) As far as I know there haven't been any changes to the fabric but I will look in to it.
This video shows one way to put the ktan on. It is not the easiest method and is pretty confusing. The end position is correct so if it works for you go for it. Baby Ktan has a much easier method and video to follow if this one is difficult for you.
The SINGLE easiest, most clear, concise, and detailed instructional video I’ve watched re the BK. THANK YOU!!
5 years later and this is still a terrific guide in how to position baby in the baby k'tan. Thanks for the quality walkthrough.

Hi what size is your Ktan. I plan on getting one we are probably about the same body type and size, not sure whether to get xs or s. Thanks!

Awesome instruction. going to take some practice!
I have the same K'tan but mine doesn't stretch as easy as the one in this video. I wonder if they have modified them since.

how is this confusing
She is right. Baby Ktan’s way takes 20 seconds. Even easier than this.
Best demo!
This vid is good I think I just hate the K’tan lol ain’t nobody got time for all this. I shoulda just bought a cheap freestanding carrier on amazon
Great tips! TFS
Very helpful thank you!
I have this..unfortunately it made me too hot and i struggled to put it on :(
I cab never get mine to sit this high
Not for lack of trying and many instructional videos but we continue to find the K'tan confusing and unsatisfying. ANyone else ?
mark it, good tip.
thank you!
Austin doesn't like this...
