Or at least something like "Gold is worth twice than food and wood". This way the measurement is decent when trash units are involved too (because they literally cost 0 gold).
In that case I would use winged hussars who are even better with trample. Still a shame that Polish cavalry is so much historically innacurate. Winged hussars where expensive elite heavy shock cavalry, not some trash unit which you can spam. Should work somewhat like coustiiers.
@@emiryldrm4460depending on the number, but they remain close to regular hussars and trampling damage doesn't impact cav much (as they take some room). Maybe in trash wars where 100 food = 17 gold but I wouldn't expect more.
This video made me think of those things that I would like to explore. 1. This makes the Paladin upgrade worth it? 2. Are the Poles knight-line too weak? Which makes sense for their low price? something that is similar to Goths infantry since they both lack the finally armor upgrade. 3. Is it fair to match up these cheaper knights to the most tanky (melee-armor) of all Paladins, the Teutons, how does this would compare to generic Paladins? 4. Could we compare them to other civs of the Cavalier to Cavalier in a gold comparison. 5. Do we have to take into account the cost of the technologies?

Not at this period. WH as heavy shock cavalry is late XVI and XVII century. In early XVI they were light cavalry. And looked basicly as Magyar Huszar.
Don't forget that the paladin upgrade itself costs WAY more than the unique tech for cheaper knights for Poles.

Teutonic Paladin is basically a slow tank.
The slow tank is the teutonic knight. Their paladins are the faster tanks
