Setmurphy Woods - Lakes Enduro/Off Piste Training

- Setmurphy Forest (or Setters as its known) is fondly nicknamed Mini-Leithen by the locals as it feels like a tiny slice of Golfie Enduro goodness in the Lake District National Park.
In many ways this feels like an alternative part 2 to our Off piste for beginners and is very similar in nature to the trails at Cademuir but will be much more reachable than the Scottish Borders for many riders.
We love these trails and especially love the way they get gradually more difficult as you progress from the left most trail (cat in the hat) to the Fencline trail on the far right.
It's awaken to ride in the dry and way more technical in the wet but always an absolute scream and great training for the road to Golfie!
Please watch our part 1 edit before this one filmed at Glentress forest park and try those trails first if you are new to Off piste riding.

Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it. Apologies for the wait, we’ve had plenty stacked against us lately! Was ace to ride and really enjoyed recording and editing again. You should definitely give it a go, it’s a great place to ride! Going off track is compulsory at Setters 🤣
Ooh new trails....look decent if im the area! Must be so many woods like this with trails in that are undiscovered from the masses 👍

Setters is normally a on e or twice a year visit for us, usually in spring when it’s dried out a bit. It’s running really sweet at the moment! 👍

Great to see you back out mate, this place looked pretty awesome, maybe more fun with that little bit of squidgy mud in places. Love watching Hugo running down the trails with you guy’s. Great video as always 👍
Ah thank you very much pal. Appreciate the watch and kind words! It’s loads of fun, I would highly recommend it as a riding spot! Good progression to be had. We absolutely love seeing Hugo having a ball on the trails, think he enjoys it as much as we do!
@@MindfulTrailBikercredit where credits due mate, you put together really good video’s, I can’t stand talking to the camera me so just chat behind it but you do a great job. And yeah Hugo seems to love bounding down them trails, and watching him adds to the already great content, he’s a beautiful dog.

Cheers dude! Not too bad for us, about 1 hr 50 to Keswick area so just about do able for a day trip. Bloody great place though and not massively “lakes” like if that makes sense!
