Вставка
- Опубліковано 24 гру 2024
- The AMAZING Amanda Tepe joins us this week to talk all about her wacky characters on wizards. She finally itches that part of our brain that’s been wondering for YEARS, are her characters all the same person? And WHY were they so bad at keeping a job? Amanda also gets deep with us and talks about the importance of mental health, saying no, and apologizing.
What’s it like to be one of Amanda’s high school students? How has cancer shaped Amanda as a person? And Disney paid their actors HOW MUCH back then?!?

The fact that she remembers all her lines as well. She was truly the best recurring character.
Right!!
FR!!! 😂❤
Even "the Hotel Fleur-de-vla-de-vla-flu-fla-de-vla?"
If Amanda does come back as a guest star, she should be interviewed by Max to work at the Sub Station 😂
Oh my god that's brilliant 😂
🤣🤣 would be so good
Hahaha yes!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
As one of her special skills, Amanda could say to Max that she once served him a hotdog, which his response would be ‘WOAH!’ 🤩 😂
She's iconic, honestly deserved way more credit, pay and episodes, one of the best actresses on your show! From listening to this, she a great inspiring humble and wise personality as well, love her!
OMG AMANDA TEPE! She's literally so iconic, her acting was on point in those Season 1 episodes
There’s no way that she was only on 9 episodes I could’ve sworn she was on so much more 😮
She’s aging like fine wine fr such a funny actress.
What an absolute angel, she's like a breath of fresh air ✨️✨️✨️✨️
Her students are so freaking lucky to learn from such a talented actor that is so aware of the development of that
I was her student for four years and was an actor in a few shows she directed. She is an inspiration and am thankful everyday for my time with her.
Her voice just brings me back. She is so funny, comedic genius. Thank you Amanda, so funny and awesome. 😁
SHE SLAYED WHENEVER SHE WAS ON, HAD ME ROTFL🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
SLAYED ALL DAY EVERY DAY
Amanda was definitely one of the best actors in Wizards history! Loved her acting!
This episode is one for the books!!! I know I speak for many when I say I've been anticipating seeing Amanda Tepe on here! This was easily one of my favorites. Please bring her back again. She was absolutely wonderful!
I miss her in the series! SHE ALWAYS ADDED SOO MUCH COMEDIC RELEIF. I LITERALLY CRIED WHEN I SAW HER SWINGING FROM THE CHANDELIER XDDD
So iconic! I saw her name and I didn’t recognize it but the second I saw her face I could picture every Disney show she’s ever been in 😂
She’s an icon, she’s a legend and she is the moment now come on now
omggg the icon herself you honestly stole the show with your eps lol love how you always worked somewhere different 🤣🤣❤️
Amanda Tepe is one of my favorites, I’ve been waiting for this episode! Her character paved the way for Trish De La Rosa and her many jobs. Happy Monday!!
Can’t believe I didn’t think of that but that’s so true!
Best recurring character/actress ever. Always made me laugh.
To me, it was the joke about "the finest China imported straight from Japan" foĺlowed immediately by a confused look
This is hands done one of the BEST you guys have done. Love you jen I hope you find your way to deal with what your going through. Amanda you’re a legend. Always. Such a great person.
💙
I have been working as an employment consultant for the last 2 years. I can tell you that Acting is definitely a real job.
I would recommend it to anyone that needs to go out of their comfort Zone.
I’ve been an extra for all sorts of stuff, and that drove my passion to write and edit. Editing is my number 1 passion.
I do acting and film making just for passion alone.
If anyone is considering acting or film making just do it. Your going to have a lot of fun, and your going to have a lot of memories and talk about all the cool stuff to your friend years of decades down the track.
Don’t go into acting and film making to be a star because you probably won’t be and your going to get extremely disappointed and give up too quickly.
But if you want to go into it to just have fun, and you have a passion then it’s the right career choice for you.
And my dad is following in my footsteps and actually went to college to learn the craft as well.
And it’s nice to see him doing that, and hopefully down the track we can work on something together!!!!
And I’m extremely thankful to all the people I have come across in my life who helped ignite that passion inside of me.
Hotel Fleur-de-Vla De-Vla Flu-Fla De-Vra Du-Fla is my favorite episode you were in.
Happy belated bday Jennifer Stone queen of fashion ur marker dress is always iconic 🔥🙌
She needs to make guest appearances in the reboot
Amanda is so awesome!! Hands down the best recurring character ever 🥰🥰 I loved when she jumped over to Disney XD for Kickin It too and I remembered her from Wizards
Omg the true queen of wizards
I love Amanda! She cracked me up with all her characters. I loved watching Wizards with my kids. My daughter who's now 25 and I binged the 4 Seasons. It's the best. Never gets old.
Great episode. I hope they bring more actors... Dean, Riley, Mason, Juliet, mannequin man, Rosie, hs principal, Felix, and Max.
i need a whole episode in the new reboot to be about her and her mysterious character(s) 😭
The college campus I attended was mostly geared toward nursing students. I didn’t go into nursing. However, the pandemic made me very concerned about the well-being of all the medical professionals at the time, especially nurses. Even after it calmed, I still wondered just how badly traumatized, stressed, overworked, and drained they were. Although it doesn't suprise me, it completely breaks my heart, Jennifer. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do, and I truly hope you get the help you need to work through this. We love you!
I loved her so much as a child, she was hilarious! I can tell she's such an incredible theatre teacher
Thanks to Miss Stone for being so real
31:30 Love this line!!
THis is probably my favourite episode you guys have done so far! I have such an appreciation for teachers and their perspectives :)
HER CHARACTER IS THE BEST OMGGGG
We actually love her! Definitely being her back for more!!
I never knew Amanda Tepe had cancer :( Im glad she's still around :)
I didn't know she was from Cincy. I live back in Hamilton. lol! But I had 3 SAG/AFTRA vouchers before moving back. I love her!!!!
What an amazing group you all were at Wizards!!!! Jen, sending you all good energy to deal with that. I’m not an actor and I’m trying to find that outlet too.
Thank you so much for this amazing podcast.
You’re all so well-spoken. My ears and heart are full of joy!
Thank you for bringing her on!!! The best extra ever
I remember her when she started doing the lines from those episodes!! I always wondered if it was the same character or a different character each time!
I grew up with this show, I actually dressed a bit like Harper as a high schooler (I had really weird leggings. )
And I’ve been an actor since then, and this resonated with me so much. I gave up on acting during the pandemic and I returned to it right as the SAG strike started. (Still going. Working on becoming an independent adjuster for insurance to move back to LA and pursue it again.) and this hit so hard. To hear everyone talk about it and their gratitude and their gift they give, I felt like I wasn’t crazy for wanting to move back-cos my gift is not fully given yet-and what an adventure that will be. Oh man this episode made me cry good tears.
Yall articulate what it’s like for the sucky parts annd the good parts to be an actor so well!
This is one of my favorite ones! I loved seeing Jennifer get vulnerable and share a little bit more of herself with Amanda 🤧💘
This episode is fantastic! 🌟⭐️🤩✨ Thanks Jen and David! 😊👍🏾
What a gem. She seems like such a genuine, amazing human.
Love Amanda Tepe.
Thank you for the heart.❤️
AMANDA IS NOT 45 WOW 🤩🤩🤩🤩

She's so outspoken and lovely, hearing her speak is so refreshing and warm at the same time! Thank you so much for inviting her! Loved your conversation!
Such a awesome episode and what a amazing person Amanda is loved her characters on Wizards and that she teaches acting 😃📺
52:15 I’m 36yo. What are you talking about?!? lol
Loving the episode!!!!!
Favorite memory of her would have to be when she was swinging on the chandelier
I love Amanda! ❤ She’s is my favorite Guest Star on Wizards of Waverly Place! ✨🤩⭐️🌟
we need her on the new series!!!
Lowkey my favorite episode from the podcast, her energy was so inspiring 😭
I didn’t even realize she was on Cory in the House, but once she mentioned it, I knew exactly which character she was. I thought she was hilarious in that when I was younger.
I have depression, anxiety, and CPTSD & I am actively trying to practice self-empathy, self-compassion etc. I was talking to my therapist about something I told a family member & she went “Tori, that’s self-empathy!” 👏🏻 and I went “really?” So it’s a journey but I’m somehow making progress 😂
Why am I realizing this character is me in real life 😂 .
Thank you, everyone, for being so vulnerable with us and talking about mental (and physical) heath!! It's a blessing to hear your stories and how you work through things. What a beautiful episode!!
I relate to so much in this episode. I also grew up with a mom that could never apologize not only until starting therapy recently have I learned to not push it all down the first step to healing is just talking about it! Thank you guys for making me laugh during the hardest time in the life ❤
Amanda is so amazing as a person. I only ever saw her on the show and saw her as her character so it’s lovely seeing her talk so deeply and share her experiences.
I loved her characters! Always so dead pan funny!
I remember her! So iconic 💚
She BETTER be in the reboot ❤
Thanks guys so much for this particular episode this was so powerful and entertaining keep on developing more episodes
I was hoping you guys would have her on as a guest!! Love her ❤
No way I loved her watching from beginning til end
Thanks for the re-upload:)😅
💙
Anyone else just needing a buddy cop sitcom with these two?
And amanda too 😂❤❤
Shes such a lovey nice person may God bless her . I loved her onbthe ahow my favorite episode was the crazy 10 minute sale. loved her in that one . This was such a nice and funny calming episode thank you for making it and having her on
I just want to say for the people who are Dyslexic like David. Don’t doubt your smartness. Just because learn differently, it doesn’t make you any less smart. You just learn in a different way and that’s totally ok. I know this isn’t the same as Dyslexia, but because of my ADHD I have a really hard time reading and staying focused on the page that I’m reading without getting sidetracked mentally, that doesn’t make me dumb, that just means that I need to change the way I learn. And that’s totally fine.
“How you learn has nothing to do with how brilliant you are” ~Henry Winkler
This was great I'm so glad you guys had her on!!
this was my favorite episode of the pod so far!! absolutely love amanda !
I haven't seen her a long while after season 2 cuz she's soo witty and funny in Wizards of Waverly Place 😁
I love watching this podcast 😊brings back so much memories and especially the guests you guys bring 🥰😍❤️💯
Hey Jennifer and David! Happy Monday to you! 😊
Happy Monday!
Oh my goshhhh i remember her from each show too! Iconic
ICONICCCCCCCCC
She shaped a generation
the best part is is that she was never one character she was actually able to portray multiple characters because she was never typcasted in to playing just one character because that's how versatile she is as an actress she didn't just play one part on the show she played multiple parts on the show and i think that that's just so amazing tbh
My heart just exploded!! Thank you so much Jen and David. I love you guys!❤
THE FACT THAT I STILL REMEMBER ALL HER APPEARANCES ON DISNEY SAYS IT ALL
I love this episode!
Im becoming a nurse i totally understand what jenn is saying know you are appriciated and loved and i appeiciate you sharing how real the struggle is
We gotta appreciate recurring characters
we 💙 our recurring characters
Happy late birthday Jennifer thank you so much for the stream!
She is so funny glad she came on
🗣️🫠 AMANDA LITERALLY IS A DISNEY GEM JUST ICONIC. CONGRATS ON CONQUERING CANCER. HER FAMILY. TEACHING. AND JEN GETTING EMOTIONAL. JUST A GREAT EPISODE.
I hope you are having a great Monday 🪄🪄
My personally theory is the Nurse Joy/Officer Jenny explanation. All of them are a different person, but all related, so they all look and sound the exact same because of "strong family genetics."
Omg I had no idea she was the tour guide lady on Cory in the House & on Raven!! Wow so amazing.
Can someone tell me what character she played on Raven?
I had completely forgot about her character! She was hilarious tho and after watching this interview, you can just tell she loves life
I would love to see David Henrie or Jake T. Austin on the pod. Even if it was a zoom call I think that would be awesome.
Loved Amanda in Wizards😁😁 I just loved laughing, she was sooo funny😂
Amanda is the best
Oh my gosh her character was SOOOO hilarious and weird and quirky. 🤣
How could she do all those lines in her episodes and not just crack up. And her best lines IMO, were her “welcome to the hotel fluerduflah du flah du flahduflahhhhhh” and “We are served on the finest China imported from Japan…” and her faces are just so hysterical.
