Elon's "genius move" of pulling teams from Tesla, SpaceX and the Boring Co. to work on Twitter, sounds like the setup for a joke: "So an EV engineer, a rocket engineer, and a tunneling engineer walk into Twitter HQ..."

Hah, well yeah, they certainly seem like odd choices. Keep in mind though: Basically every complex industry employs software engineers these days. I think there might well be more overlap between making a car regulate it's own driving and making a software platform regulate it's own content, than one might immediately assume.

That's what you think pal. It isn't. Nice try though. No, not every complex industry employs software engineers. Nice try though. Most don't. They might buy some software or use some services from other companies but that's another issue. Musk had serious issues with employee retention at Tesla. If they ever hired any software engineers, those were some of the main culprits. They also had problems hiring. Software engineers get involved for the money, they aren't like aerospace engineers that dream of working in the field.

Well, how many of those "users" are bots or sock accounts? I kinda doubt Twitter has half a billion active users, that's 1/16 of everyone on Earth. And while it's not exactly evidence, I don't personally know anyone that uses Twitter, or even likes the platform. So those numbers seem rather inflated. I mean, Twitter is essentially the internet version of gossip magazines, but at least in my experience of reality there aren't that many people that care about what William Shatner or some Kardashian is upset about this week. Maybe I just live a sheltered life, but I find this really hard to believe.

Knowing what people are thinking is just the start, what they really want is to control what people are thinking. And that's fairly easy if you can pick and choose what gets buried and what should be trending. Throw some bots in there to stir the pot and you basically got a recipe for social engineering on a mass scale. All you need now is mainstream media to use it as a source and give it legitimacy for the cherry on top.

The fact that they send police to someone's house over something that's hurt some unknown person's feelings on the internet?

I'm glad I don't live in Brittain, where I've seen clips showing this kind of stuff not just 'going on' but quite literally filling every exposed orifice of society like an infection!
Watching videos of police being at someone's front door in less than 20min after posting something to Facebook? They will arrest and hand cuff you, humiliate you with a public spectacle as if you're a hardened criminal? They trump up fines, distort what is policy, deprive you of your civil rights? Lie, manipulates, fabricate data, fabricate anything they want? They can make false threats, tack on extra counts to your charges and the list is never ending?
Yet there's violent home invasion in the same street and the Ambulance gets sick of waiting for the police to even turn up to take statements? Police don't turn up anyway what so ever? They contact next day when everything just seems so much less important? They make you travel down to the station? Information is given but you know.,.... it's just doesn't seem all that stressful? The demeanor of the victim is blunted with 24 hours to calm down, giving the false impression of what occurred 'seeming not all that bad?' and subsequent assigned importance value of 3 when it could have been a 7 the day prior when the victim was laying unresponsive in a pool of blood with hundreds of onlookers in hysteria blah blah blah don't care ....TLDL (too long didn't listen)
Pretty much in Australia you've got a chance that close to 'almost impossible' and 'not a fucking chance' of getting police to do work that requires effor, when it's just easier and more profitable to write up tickets and fines for insert *accused non-compliance violation*-> here .... .... .... ....
Please check the box gamble with police to use your word to play an interactive game called hang man. 3 games highest number of wins is the champion opt in to play second chance game with double or nothing odds!

He then grifted his status in America to legal, thanks to his legacy stolen wealth, then grifted his way to supposed "founder" of Tesla/Paypal, neither of which he founded but which local Americans did and per his forbears in SA, stole the locals wealth bolstering his perceived glory... with his misappropriated wealth he then paid/subjugated even more locals and leveraged their tenacity and smarts to further increase his perceived glory... he later got sooo drunk on his misappropriated wealth and supposed glory that he broke free of his local carers, misappropriated even more local businesses but this time was seen for the grifter liability he really is and unchecked, wrecked the place- and here we are. Locals losing massive wealth, jobs, wellbeing, as fElon increasingly opens up about being a racist/fascist/idiot/grifter scumbag, per his forbears and how he was evidently raised as a self-righteous, self-centred psychopath.

Good job on mentioning the stock down by 70% while mentioning macroeconomics, many clickbait coverage on all the tech companies really enjoy neglecting to mention this fact, next small improvement would be to distinguish between an individual's networth going down versus "losing money" when the stock market moves, as most of these billionaires' networth are tied to their companies, they don't lose money the same way they never truly gained money when their networth went up (unless they sell, which rarely happens, and when they do it's generally public knowledge by law). I don't expect other channels to make this point but given your track record of trying to be as accurate and fair as possible, it's a good outlet to educate the viewers about these fine nuances.

Others did, and he bought and paid those companies and people. He is not an engineer, not a scientist, and his visions are copied, e.g. the hyperloop or electric cars or self-driving, none of those are his ideas.
