    I'm one week with immediate dentures. I got my first soft liner today and what a difference! I had a couple of sore spots that are gone. The dentures are fitting much better... for now anyway. I'm excited!

      I'm on day ~4 or so with immediate, they don't seem to fit awful but Jesus Murphy they hurt like nobody's business. I'm hoping it's just because of the swelling.

    Your videos are super helpful. I had my upper teeth extracted on Thursday. They sent me home with my immediate denture and it seemed to fit pretty good but I was numb so couldn’t really tell. Next day they started hurting as I started to swell. Wore them anyway like they asked. Day three comes along and my swelling was so bad that it pushed my dentures out and I couldn’t wear them. Went to the dentist on Monday for an adjustment. They did it, I tried them on and they seemed better. I was still bleeding quite a bit so he advised me to not wear them the rest of the day or the next day. So I didn’t. This morning, expecting them to go in and fit pretty decently, they are massive now and won’t sucking in and cause the worst gagging ever. So I’m going back today in hopes they can help. Hasn’t been a very good journey for me so far but your videos are inspiring. Thanks for making them

    Hi i was so glad to find your videos. As a new denture wearer and followed the instructions, it wasn't enough to cause any oozing but when taking them out it was a different story I'd say that it took anywhere from a 1/2 hour to get rid of the adhisive from my gums, it was gross. It was sticky and stretchy and by the time i got them out i was exhausted, frustrated and now im too afraid to put them back in. I found a site where it said to spread it very very thin but i don't know if you're suppose cover all of the piece that goes up in the roof of your mouth. It also said when taking them out use a rocking motion but is that from side to side or front to back. I really need help. I didn't expect to ever have dentures. I spent almost 10 thousand dollars for braces. I went 16 yrs without seeing a dentist and i never had not one cavity. I had 2 cavities that was filled when i was about 5 or 6 years old so they had to replace the silver fillings that had leaked out and the only other thing that i had was my 4 bottom front teeth needed some scaling. My mom said i was ocd when it came to my teeth. And once i got my braces i was even worse. I understood why my ex sister in law would never eat once she done her teeth but there wasnt a rechargeable water pic when she had hers but i got one when i had mine it was awesome. We didn't know why my teeth were getting bad and when it was dicovered from a friend of mine it was 2 of the meds we were on which caused dry mouth which caused my teeth to decay from the inside out and by the time it came out it was too close to the gumline to fill it so to say its been very emotional is an understatement. Thank you i just wanted you to know where and why i got to have dentures. I had to br sedated and have 2 surpergies too remove my teeth. I had to be sedated was because I have epilepsy. So the final thing is what way do i rock my dentures to take them out? So sorry for the extra long message

    After 3 months my dentist tried to do a soft reline just on my bottom denture because it was uncomfortable. But afterwards I told him it felt like sandpaper under my tongue and he said well let it set more and if it still feels that way come back in and I'll file it down more?? Didn't make sense to me because I've watched allot of videos and none showed that the soft reline was all over the outer side of the denture. I had to call Sage Dental and tell the office manager about the situation and she told me to come back in to get a hard reline?? So now I have to wait until my bottom denture comes in from the lab with the hard reline

    Great information. I like your video's. I've had my full dentures close to two month's now. I go back for a check up, or maybe a soft reline in about 4 more weeks. My top fit's pretty good if I use a little adhesive, but my bottom I have to use more adhesive. Should I ask for a soft reline the first time, and wait about a year for a hard reline? Thank you, John

      Two months I’m suprised you haven’t had a reline yet. I got my first at 2 weeks then every 6 weeks. But you should be getting manny relines over a year then do the hard reline after at least 9 months.

    I know dentures have come a long way with technology and so forth. But what I’m afraid of also is will or our dentures bulky or not his bulky as like say 10 years ago?

    • @JustinBsDentureJourney
      @JustinBsDentureJourney  2 роки тому +1

      I’m sure things are progressing and getting better and better each year. Immediate will probably always give you some bulk due to the way they are made. But that’s only temporary

    I've had my dentures since November '2021 and my lower dentures are giving me a fit. No matter how much adhesive I use or how little trying your method they will not stay in and I can't even bite a sandwich, a hot dog or anything, I have to cut everything up in small pieces. My question is would that be a sign that I need a soft reline? I didn't have this problem with my first set of dentures about 6 years ago. I haven't eaten a good solid meal since November '2021.

      Hi I just wanted to say Thank You, I went to my dentist and they did do a reline, now I'm not sure if it was a soft or hard reline, they did it chair side. I was told to test it out over the weekend and let them know how it's going. Went on 8/25 and as of 8/27 I can eat and bite down again. I do have to use adhesive but not nearly as much as I was using. So again thanks for your help and your very informative videos❤🙏👍

    Thank you! There is very little info out there about hard relines, seems like most people/dentists do a second set of new dentures after healing.
    My dentist is wanting to do my hard reline next month at exactly three months after extractions. My upper denture hasn’t needed a soft reline in about 4 weeks, but my lower is definitely still changing almost weekly. I use Cushion Grip and it has been working great. My dentist office soft relines weren’t that good so I opted to do my own to save time and frustration lol
    I can’t help but feel that three months is way too soon for the hard reline but my dentist is adamant. I’m feeling like he is done with it at this point.

    • @JustinBsDentureJourney
      @JustinBsDentureJourney  2 роки тому +3

      Three months is insanely too soon. If you get them that early, you will need so much soft reline to fill in. I got mine at 9 months and still had shrinking. I do soft relines on mine to have a better fit but it’s a thin layer. I would keep doing soft relines and then do the hard reline at minimum 6 months but preferably close to a year. Good luck

    • @JustinBsDentureJourney
      @JustinBsDentureJourney  Рік тому

      If you have a hard reline done, your immediates are relined to make them fit better and permanent. So same teeth and lol but better fit
