At first, yes, fuck the star. Second, you are not killing Knight's son. Third, great video P. S. The star songs is actually great, for some reason they used only one chapter, and cycled it, but you still can listen best part on the Bernard final phase
Hoo boy. My favorite thing in the internet is when I find people who gasm over the little games like Furi. Picked it up last February after I heard an absolute banger electronic song and found out it came from this game. Had no idea what this game was. At all. Not the genre, not the goal or the objective. Turns out I had gotten a key from a Humble Bundle years ago, and downloaded it on a whim, with the goal of getting to the point where I can hear the dope song in-game, as God intended. Imagine my surprise when I find out it's Sh'mup boss rush with neon swords and THE BEST VIDEOGAME SOUNDTRACK EVER. I Immediately start and fail the first boss. But eventually I realize what the game is asking. First boss, done. Over the next 9 hours I fall and yell. My fingies start to hurt. My palms sweat like I've been caught on the family computer at 13 again. My controller sticks scream for mercy, but I do not rest. I have a song to hear. The Chain. The Strap. The Line, Scale and Hand all fall. Lessons learned. I feel unstoppable. I'm out to make them pay. Then the Song approaches. And I start to doubt what I'm thinking is happening. I want to take her offer. But I have better Songs to hear. I step onto the platform and what happens next is the best 5 minutes of gaming and musical hybrid experience I've had to date. Edge of my seat, heart dropping to the beat of the bass of Make This Right. Finally the Stranger puts her on mute, but hesitates as he does. There's something here. Best not to dwell on such thoughts. After all, my quest is incomplete. The Burst is next. She's fast, sassy and Bri'ish. Got my blood pumping and my knuckles cracking as I toil over her for several hours, falling to the last gauntlet she does time and time again, until one run I see it. The gap in the code. The crack in the façade. Now You're Mine. I dash, thrusting my blade forward and finding the purchase I've been craving for so long. The Edge was surprisingly easy. Having mastered H2H combat courtesy of the Dead Dad gang, I struck him down on my very first visit, granting him the challenge he always wanted. The Beat confirmed what I knew was coming. The Voice in my head told me she deserved it, but I had seen what had come before me and knew he couldn't be trusted. Still I persevered. Closing my eyes, I did what was needed and walked through the gateway, ignoring the trail of blood, sweat and tears from the past 10 hours I was leaving and basked in my glory. I had earned my freedom. Finally, I had EARNED this song. I took My Only Chance and started my trek into the free world, only to watch it wither and decay under my step. That's when I knew. I was the Monster, and had been the whole time. Poetic retelling aside, I agree. Fuck The Star. Shit fight with shit controls. Still beat it after another 4 hours of practice. I then speedran the title, beating the composer's best time, then the combat designer's. Then I beat it in under an hour. Then I got an S rank. Then I did ALL of it again on Furier, twice. This was the best game I played in 2022. Spawned a newfound love for indie gems and electronic music. Toxic Avenger, Waveshaper, Danger and Carpenter Brut are masters at their crafts and showed me how important audio design can be for video games. I found a game that had no problem flunking me if I hadn't studied well enough. One that didn't ask for effort, but DEMANDED it. From an obsessed fan of this title, thank you for this video!

The music reminds me of the "Art of Rally"-soundtrack
I actually liked the last boss music as one of my favorites from the game
I discovered Furi thanks to Lorn, who participated to the soundtrack and is my favorite producer, check it out!
