@@Tinker8531You people try to live together with your neighbours. East Africans are happy with all East Africans coming to either country. Especially Kenyans, Tanzanias, Rwandans. We love all🎉🎉
To be honest , I have never been interested to any leader from Botswana, but because of this boy, son of the soil, umtshana waMantshilibe, oBhanqo, gave a reason to hope ot only for Botswana but for the region and entire continent, Africa will be united economically first by looking within in home then look outside. Danko Morwa, Pula
I learned something new from Mr. President. A question that has been on my mind for some time now is the issue of shareholders in the context of De Beers and the state government. Thank you so much, Mr. President, for your insightful lecture.
We are proud to see that this is the calibre of new leaders Africa is raising. Young, wise and informed. Botswana is blessed. The future of the continent is bright.
That's my boy, I like the way he is handling the issue of our brothers and sisters from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 ❤❤❤. We need to protect them as they help our economy
I feel like to the interviewer was driving a certain narrative, particularly on the migration issue, and the the De Beers shareholding, and unfortunate for her, she was met with a very informative, eloquent and sober guest. South Africa must refrain from projecting its personal sentiments on other African countries. The issue of migration might seem like a pain, but its not. South African are predominantly xenophobic and the issues related to unemployment are not at all related to migration, but corruption, and government being in bed with the private sector and thereby unable to regulate these industries. She was met with a well informed president who doesnt sensationalise and sticks to facts at hand. Unfortunately most south african government officials do not possess this level of political intellect and would always resort to blaming the weakest links for the country's problems, which in this case are foreigners.
You hit the nail on the head. She didn't quite get the response that she wanted. She was expecting an answer of hatred towards foreigners but she was disappointed. If one harbours hate for someone, they should never recruit other people to hate that person.
Nailed it. I can imagine she expected to hear the names such as Oppenheimer or mnangagwa and how Masisi failed etc 😂. Agility means appreciate situations and find ways to move forward, Pointing fingers and blaming what happened in past is a symtom of procrastination
I think you’re also quite biased in what you thought she was asking. But everyone actually has a bias. What I do know is that Sophie is passionate about democracy becoming the norm in all of Africa, and that means she cares rather than hates foreigners. She hates what the leaders are doing to cause the migration issues. Oh and by the way; I’m not South African.
She has seen the damage of mass illegal migration, he is still green and naïve. A country with high unemployment cannot afford to allow others particularly cheap labour to come in, because cheap labour will be in jobs whilst your own remain unemployed. What is your Zimbabwean governments excuse for not creating jobs for you. Watch this space.
@@rbee2062 He will soon learn what Sophie already knows. he will soon experience an influx of Zimbabweans and others. He better be building more schools, hospitals 🤣.I believe its time other countries carried the burden, because South Africa has struggled under the influx so much so we do not even have school places for our own kids, no beds in hospital for our own citizens. Rather Botswana than South Africa, I say.
This man is in a class of his own. I wish South Africa can learn from Botswana about documenting foreigners thus lowering crime, ensuring a safe country.
South Africa documented Zimbabweans via ZEP work permits and it brought millions more and more crime came. They were cheap labour which increased unemployment for South Africans. We learnt the hard way what documenting illegals brought more illegals and more crime. No thank you. Botswana will soon learn the hard way and its worse for them they only 2.5 million people, a nation that can easily be overtaken by other nationalities.
