Ian Khama has 'nothing' to fear in Botswana, says his successor President Mokgweetsi Masisi

- In an interview with FRANCE 24, Botswana's President Mokgweetsi Masisi was asked to react to the case of his predecessor, Ian Khama. Botswana is asking for Khama's extradition due to a warrant against him for illegal possession of firearms. Khama refuses to come back, saying he risks being poisoned. "A litany of inconsistencies", said Masisi, adding that Khama, who left office in 2018 after two five-year terms, has “nothing” to fear in Botswana.

President Masisi hasn't done any harm to anybody. He is our President and we love and appreciate him. He has done a lot for this country. In achieving some of the sustainable development goals we all are familiar of, its not a walk in the park. He took us somewhere. Yes we are a democracy that is challenged just like any other but we are striving through his leadership. He is no threat to anyone.

No sir. We r not on the right path. This is my president, he speaks with so much eloquency. Unfortunately he got us free falling economically and we as the Batswana citizens I finding it hard to irk a living. He's basically a president for the rich. Unemployed figures have gone so high, especially amongst the youth, underemployment also. He's a dope man, but sadly he's not the one.
@@karabotshekiso3631 he is empowering us so that we can create employment for future generations, don't think small, everything he's doing right now takes time to show it's results. Godspeed, he's not the reason why unemployment rates are high, but he's offering us a solution to that.
After all has been said and done, I hope all the Batswanas should thank Eswatini for hiding their former president. If Eswatini can allow Botswana's former president to be taken for trial in Botswana, in a few days Botswana can be in serious internal disturbances.
