+kymbo72 Thank you Kymbo72!!! You'll find out soon the smaller ones are males and they are trying to do more than just piggy back. We have so much information to share with you!!! Stay TUned!
+ThePondDigger As my friend and I were watching this video, we were amused by the those desperate male turtles. I knew someone would think that they were "piggy backing." Nice video, the turtles are adorable! :)
I've got 2 Diamondbacks...both from babys. My male is almost 10 years and my female is almost 9. I love them. Juss built a small pond for them. Thanks for all you do.
Does the breeder sell and ship?! I don't want any wild caught ones and I would maybe like to get some variety of species and I really trust his wisdom and practices. Educational series btw, thanks for sharing!
+Derek Blackston The tanks are called Waterland Tubs! Pete is the manufacturer of the tubs because he is a turtle addict! He invented them because of his hobby! Support his company!!!
+Jack Joseph It is in the planning stages but it might be next spring before we get to it! email me and I can help you along the way if you want to get that done sooner. eric@theponddigger.com
We have not made a specific video like you are requesting. But our "How to Build A fish Pond video series might give you plenty of ideas for a small pond. Here is the link. Keep me posted on your progress! ua-cam.com/video/YC-RVqsEmsU/v-deo.html

+Jeff K Great question. We covered it in detail on the Ask The Pond Digger Show! Here is the link. - ua-cam.com/video/WFl_BQXIUyc/v-deo.html Thanks for watching!
hi ThePondDigger, can you give me your email :) i would like to send you some pictures of my turtle. i cant identify what species of turtle i have here. its looks like the red ear turtle but i'm not sure because the shell is very different from the other red ear turtles :)
First I want to say “ThePondGuy”........ Game Over!!!! After watching this I feel I have more of an understanding why these turtles as well as many more aquatic turtles are on watch lists for going extinct. This man (among many others) have been taking these turtles from their home for 38 yrs. then selling them for a profit ($200.00 ea). While our ecosystem pays the ultimate price, but what does his old ass care he will be dead and the generations after him will be left to deal with his mess. All for “money”. Then he said the captive caught turtles lose their nobs on their back faster than the captive breed ones. That makes me think about how killer whales dorsal fin will flop over when in captivity but in the wild you will NEVER see this. We humans are disgusting ,all of us! We all play a part in making a terrible world for the generations to come. This type of behavior and thinking is beyond my comprehension.
this is gonna be great! love the smaller ones grabbing a piggy back off the bigger ones

+Elijah Dail Thanks for watching!!
what kind/brand tub is he keeping these in? That would make a great addition to the patio bog filter pond you made!
+Derek Blackston The tanks are called Waterland Tubs! Pete is the manufacturer of the tubs because he is a turtle addict! He invented them because of his hobby! Support his company!!!
What water are you supposed to keep them in fresh or salt cuz I here it's difficult to produce the right brackish water?
so if they are wild-caught do you have to have a permit to own them?
There are permits needed for collecting reptiles to preserve the populations. Some of these wild caught turtles he has had for decades.
Oh I see, that's cool. I've always been curious.
I know you showed off a aquatic Turtle pond... I am interested in digging one could you make a tutorial?
