+Passione Motori as KurwaSniper said, for low light environments such as that of a street at night the best option for recording would be a lens that lets in a lot of light. the term for how much light a lens lets in is called aperture and is determined by the F number. The lower the F number the more light the lens allows through. for this video its probably F2.8 or that.
I watched this video ten years ago. Somehow I ended watching it again. Tis is so well edited and captures the scene so beautifully! Still gives me goosebumps!!
Orlando Campbell if you go to Japan, I recommend you go to Gunma where they drift on mountain roads not like these guys, ever seen Initial D? Initial D was based on Gunma mountain racers
@@_____._..--_ ? i don't understand how does that make him a weeb. If he just wanted to be born in japan because the cars are better and drifting at night in the streets of japan sound amazing. Heck i too wish i was in japan. Here in american you can't own an r34 or s15 without papers which takes forever for them to accept it.
I grew up in the fast car scene and was always told about the drifting in Japan. I love fast cars and have always wanted to be in one while it was drifting. I can't drive a fast car myself because I'll definitely kill me and everyone in it but I would love it if I met someone who could drive and drift. Looks like I'm gonna have to move to Japan.
Luv it! I like cars, i like filming, and i luv underground stuff. I really luv the way u film the cars, appreciated! Keep up the good work! Looking forward to more from you!
Hey everyone just wanted to say thanks for kind and sensible comments! Expect more footage like this from us this year! We are very busy with client projects but I have a very special personal project I am working on!
Luke I found your videos at Vimeo, didnt know you had a UA-cam channel! You are one of my inspirations in video filming and editing. I respect your work! Thanks for your great videos!
No worries, I just want to say both Street Life and DRIVE channel one are awesome!!! the music is absolutely suitable for both videos, WELL DONE!! hope to see better production from you guys!!!!
ClubbySuperCharged sorry, do u watch formula d or d1gp lol? IMO drifting belongs on the streets or on the mountains. not on a sanctioned race track where people compete for the biggest skid. drifting is meant to be free, and to express yourself and have fun. where is the expression in professional drifting? where is the relaxed "just hanging out on fri night" attitude? you can express your sponsors ideals (under great pressure) but where is the personality and originality? pro drifting is almost as boring to watch as nascar. the whole idea of organized drifting to me is stupid and sacrilegious but then again i am a purist.
well japanese will always do it better than american cars. american cars are too powerful to control the car when it hits a corner and you will spin out.
I know this an old chain but whatever. It's not the cars that make the difference it's the drivers, Japanese drivers tend to work their way up starting with lower powered cars and mastering car control before they start doing major modifications. Americans on the other hand tend to start with high power and try to master car control later. @Eric Williamson You're literally complaining about the exact thing you're doing. You complain about segregation and hate but call drifting a joke and shit and the Japanese style of modification.
LOL see i knew they be illegal street racing in Tokyo Alot of fools down here in america dont believe me because im a black african american light skinned when i said after tokyo drift the movie everyone in tokyo has took it to a whole another level STAY FRESH JAPAN YALL ALL A BEAST WHEN IT COMES TO 1SUM IN THE MORNING THE LIFE OF JAPAN LIFE
Clay Green As with all things in life kid, so that you can see the other side of the story... and then from observation you form a logical and coherent statement, hence my original comment, to convey to others so that they may not make the same mistakes... got it boy?
That's like asking yourself why you like a certain food. Because of the taste, the texture, the feel, or maybe because you just do. It's the same with drifting. The little details combined together make it so adrenaline rushing and fun, no matter what the cost is. Be respectful about it though. Even if it's not your cup of tea, respect their decisions, opinions, and interests. I personally used to be a street drifter back in the early 2000's when I lived in the Osaka prefecture. I later moved to Toyota for a few years, then moved to America in order to study English and get to know the new culture. What some people may or may not know, some to most drifters have connections with tire companies or used tire salesman. This way they won't have to worry about a full price for sets of tires, and often get them for free or very cheap (:
Hopefully I can provide some kind of insight on this. It might not make much sense but think of it in terms of another passion people persue like fashion for example. People wear what suits their needs. If you work in an industrial job it's highly unlikely you'll wear a suit to work. Then there's those who wear certain clothes as a fashion statement. This is mostly what drifting falls under. While yes it might not give you an edge up on a competition that's not the point of it. it's more so a stylistic form of driving. It's not about lap times or crossing a line first.
Song is by Alex Arcoleo it is called "Forest At Night". I have only found his songs on one website and I downloaded every single one of them. Amazing artist. On a side note this is an amazing video. I watch it almost everyday. It makes me want to buy a $100,000 GTR and rip up the streets. Cheers everyone!
Your english is very good. Such a good point you made "The Japanese police may be considering street drift is very important Japanese subculture." Japan is such an interesting place, I could talk about this kind of thing with someone from Japan all day
Would you mind telling me where this takes place? I have been living in Japan for several years and I have yet to see illegal drifting! I go to my local track to see drifting often, but me and my mates are itching to see some street drifting!
In my opinion I think Japan is the coolest country on earth
It is. A lot more people than New York (I think)
@Maximo Moline haha England is my city
I don‘t think so. Might have some very cool aspects, but the work culture and peer pressure is just insane there. Love those street racers though.
@@budisoemantri2303 lol the usa is my neighborhood

Well said.
No, if they're hit, they know they're as good as dead
Japanese drifting is way more graceful than american drifting
TheLegendaryKanks Americans can't drift. They only do power slides
Tuchho Bal you don't know what drifting is do you?
Japans make drift
But their Drifting all around the World
Just a little bit racer from america do for drifting...
Remainning all do for Speed battle...
It's not different,we only call that "art of racing"
LMAO, I swear, at 1:17 I thought that they were gunna drift that truck too. I was like, damn that shits gunna tilt over.
If they would of drifted that big ass truck like that then that's how you know you got skill! LOL
No, only Russians drift their trucks. And only in the snow.
Drifting in Japan. What more can you ask for?
To be there and witness it first hand I guess ..
Pretty certain its a jzx100 mark 2, eitherway its a x chassis
Drift.ro I'd ask for mountain drifting like back then
@Maximo Moline in russia every jdm fan knows this car, for me it's like "how are they don't know it?". just a cool fact
What camera was used? That was great.

Awesome quality! It's like an actual movie but with real footage and no studio performance with video cutting every half second

What is the intro tune called? I have been wanting to find out what it is since the first /DRIVE Koenigsegg video.
JJ's Automotive song is called forest at night by alex arcoleo
I love how the music is significantly quieter than the cars. Its there, but it doesn't drown out the *real* music.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful...
Like really like the last shot with the sunrise overview. Nice vid!

Where is it? What city and which part?
It was near japan, Thailand. But roads were rocky and dirty, so we had to take the highway.
thailand ? lMAO
Quick google search...those countries are a 2-3000 mile flight from each other, and a city of Japan doesn't exist in Thailand, or vise-versa.
