I love mine. I put a Boss 7 band eq pedal in the effects loop, cranked the master volume and use the dirty and clean volumes and it awakens the beast inside.

@@roosternm6830 Do you have anymore tricks? I just got the amp and looking for the best settings to use natively but also with pedals? Should all pedals (dirt) just go into the clean channel or do you use any pedals on the dirty channel? Also, trying to figure out the optimal master volume, and channel volume combos. i.e. what's the difference between master/channel volumes at 12 vs. master 100, channel lower vs. master lower and channel volume maxed? Are any of those combos better than another when external pedals are involved?
just hav to experiment. Run one into the front see how it sounds....then put it in the loop & see how it sounds. Some pedals just sound better one or the other. as for a boost or OD,Id say run that in the front, all others just see what sounds best front or back. @@silvel2edge
I have one on the way, I’m pretty pumped. Have you tried running any dirt pedals in to this thing? I love the Orange tone, but I also love my fuzz and rat based pedals, for that really ignorant heavy doom sound. I’ve heard from others that it’s a great pedal platform as well.
Every video on my UA-cam, Instagram and tictok are running through this on the clean channel, so yes lol it takes pedals amazingly well. My Instagram is packed with demo videos of fuzz and distortion pedal all running straight into The orange super crush! Check it out, it is so far my favorite pedal platform, and if you don't have pedals the dirt channel can hit close to fuzz.
Some would think im nuts for buying an orange for clean sounds, but I love the cleans with reverb on this amp. Trying to decide on combo or head and cabinet. Leaning towards cabinet thinking maybe more open space in a cabinet might be better...but not sure
I absolutly love the clean on orange amps, its warmer and darker then the clean on the 5150 iconic series. The reverb on it is lovely aswell really make the amp stand out, and again( not hating on it) but I enjoy the reverb from this over the 5150 aswell..I am running my supercrush 100 through a 5150 4×10 cab and its wicked! I would suggest getting a head and cab it fills more the room at a lower volume. But you cannot go wrong with the combos! And for solid state this amp is amazing! Deffinitly slays and I understand the nickname the valve killer lol

@@gazzaduce3424 Hey man thanks for watching, so in this video I am just using the dirty channel on the supercrush100 no overdrive pedals. So I found the gain on the 5150 iconic series was very sharp, letting the mids and high notes come out at high gain settings, I actually found myself turning up the bass more to get it a little darker. It has an amazing EVH voicing and it really shines for solos and lead high gain Riffs. The Orange supercrush100 has a classic warmer almost fuzz gain on it, its not as articulate as the high gain of the 5150 but it has a warmer tone suitable for more dark riffing and metal. Although this is also comparing a Tube amp (5150) to a Solid state ( supercrush100). The controls on the orange let you dial in a nice tight sound with with the warmer tone. You know what. I am going to make a more in depth video on this orange supercrush100 and a review and try to go over some of different tones I can get. If you want you can check out my Instagram where I play a fuzz pedal boosted by a klone into the front of the clean channel on the super crush!.
Nope you’ve used your ears. Solid state amps traditionally do clean sounds very well the Super crush is no exception and the daddy of solid state clean is the Roland jazz chorus 120.

All reverb, and extream distortion is coming from this amp, and recorded on my cell phone hahaha. That cab I am using in this is the white 5150 iconic series 4x12 with 4 custom designed evh celestial speakers. ( they come stock in the cab ) I really love the orange super crush, I didn't use any pedals in this video, but it is my Maine pedal platform when I do, the clean channel is perfect for pedals!
@thijsornurst578 ya people reference the distortion of this to be similar to a fuzz pedal hahah. You can tighten it up for nice chugs and aggressive pick attack tone, but it can get into fuzz territory, with oranges dark tone it sounds great! I love this amp hahah

So yes I am Running this supercrush100 I to a 4×12 5150 iconic with celestial speakers, it was made and voices to run with the new 5150 80watt iconic series head, but that blew on me and I set the supercrush up into it and have never been happier. And you are correct this is just a demo of the head itself bo pedals at all used in this, I am going straight from my 2016 epiphone korina explorer repop into the front of the supercrush! I have pictures and videos showing the cab and what I use on my Instagram and tictok go check it out :)
@@TheCyberMantis hello sorry about the late reply. So I'm not really sure, was playing with master volume on 4 and running a fuzz pedal, like I had done the night before. I was warming up to do a video and slowly the volume started dying, getting quiter and quiter until finally no sounds was coming out at all. I did take it in, but was hit with a decision to buy new preamp tubes for 200$ on a brand new head just to possibly have the same thing happen in a week or switch it up. I went for the supercrush 100.
@@TheCyberMantis so yes I got it through financing at long and mcquade kingston ontario, they are wonderful and I have been dealing with them for the past 10 years. Luckily it was still underwarrenty being 3 months old and it was stated as a factory defect, so I pretty much had the option to buy new tubes and have the amp tec covered by warranty and hopefully not blow any tubes in the future lol. After a long talk with Paul Benny at the long and mcquades I decide to go with the super crush 100 they swapped it on the spot and I didn't have to pay a restocking fee, as it was a factory defect. I did avsolutly love the 5150 iconic but for something like that to happen it kinda shook me....also this being the second time its happend, had a H&K go down about a year ago the same way...so sticking to the solid state for a bit less hassel and this supercrush sounds qbsolutly phenomenal 🙌
Yes absolutly! Since it is solid-state you don't have to crank the volume to get that great sound! I rock the clean channel as a pedal platform and keep master volume around 4 and then dial in with the pedals. In this video I keep the volume relatively low and it just sounds amazing! Great tone at low or high volumes
You’d be better getting the combo version since a 100 watt head with a 2x12 regardless of tube or solid state will be hard to get a full sound without playing somewhat loud
@@thurston7425 I'm now a proud owner of a 100watt 80's Marshall mosfet 3310 head and a 4x12 laney cab. Can get brutally loud but also perfectly quiet for bedroom playing🤝
Hi! So this really depends on what you are personally after, the Boss Mk2 is an amazing amp the clean sounds nice and crisp, it takes pedals well, has a send and return fx loop and all the on board fx you could ask for, On the other hand the orange supercrush 100 is a solid state beast 2 channels clean and dirty with built in reverb. It has no on board fx, if you have pedals and like to sculpt your Tone through them I'd go with the Orange, if you are just kinda experimenting with fx and not sure what ones you like and want to invest in pedals get the Boss.
Hmmmm that is a very good question, using a sg and dialing in the dirt channel you can deifinitly get a into some AcDc tones for sure!. And for slash I find adding the orange reverb and a little bit of dirt goes a long way to be able to get the signature slash tones for solos. I guess its all on how you dial it in and what you play, but personally I would say yes 👍 it can do Angus and Slash very well!
@@the_riffmountain I started looking at this amp because it has Ty Tabors endorsement. I was expecting to be a little let down considering he's getting paid for the glowing reviews. Forget all that though because Ty is truth teller. This amp is everything he says it is and he does use this exact rig on stage. Of course he's a master and I'm a hack. It thumps in a beautiful way. It takes pedals incredibly well. The matching cab is baddass too. Worth every penny.
So I have not played the combos yet. But Oranges quality and sound seems to be universal on all there Amplifiers, I have read very good things about them. I may possibly get one to demo if that would be something you would like to see.

A combo is easier to carry and to store I'm very pleasantly surprised by the sound that comes out of it in your demo , it's still an orange amp so it's great if you like it and at least you don't have to worry about your back snapping Which speaker and cab do you use ?

Love the boss Katana had one for 10 years, amazing pedal platform and a great introduction into fx. That is the amp that got me into pedals and different effect. You can get close to the sounds of the amps you mentioned but if you placed them beside each other and dialed it in, you would notice a difference. This comes down to alott of things, solid state vs tubes. The articulation mass amount of gain and clarity yoy get through the iconic series 5150 can't be emulated by the katana, it can come close. Same goes for the Mesa and the orange, they have signature voicings that are hard to emulate with other gear, again yoy can get close but if you put the katana beside a dual rectifier yoy would see the mass amounts off differences between them. Same goes for the signature orange tone, that dark nasty overdrive almost fuzz. The fact yoy can plug it into a laptop and change everything about the katana is absolutly killer and I'm sure can reach all the tones needed, but I can hear a difference between the katana and the orange and the Mesa and the Marshall hahah, they all have there own signature sound. Great modeling amp tho 👌 And I can't stress how amazing the Katana 100 watt combo is for a pedal platform! Epic amp.
Katana is more for learning what fx sound like, but it’s not quite the same sound as the real amps and it doesn’t react the same you’ll really notice it when you play a cranked tube amp. If you want a taste of what’s missing from a katana buy/borrow a micro dark or a terror stamp amp.
I've had a TH30, AD30, dark terror lunchbox, and an orange 2x12 closed back to go with those...all amazing amps. I regret very much so selling them, especially the Th30

Ironically they removed the orange Amos from the modeling options. You can manually dial it sure
