OMG, you have to watch the rest of this concert!!! Every musician is hand picked by Yanni & he knows how to best utilize their talent to bring his music to life. I especially enjoy his concert videos, they are all fantastic!
Yanni I the reason why i fell in love with listening to music, I used to watch his concert at the acropolis on vhs every day as a kid, it's also very interesting seeing this song being played by different musicians than the concert at the acropolis in Greece.
Immense Yanni fan. Used to have all his TV concerts on VHS and his CDs were some of my faves. Could never wrap my brain around how he envisioned how all of those instruments would factor into his musical creations. As you noted, the joy in the musicians and the audience plays an integral part in the experience. Worthless trivia: he attended the University of Minnesota the same time I did. Perhaps we crossed paths, maybe even took some classes together...did he participate in any of the war demonstrations?...although the campus had a huge student body (50+K). Sometimes you never know if a future, international star is in your midst. Lyle, look forward to your reacting to more of his amazing work.
I don' t know if you know the story! Yanny has musicians in this concerts from all over the world with traditional and regular instruments and he just mixex all countrys ,cultures in one, and for me this is amazing! Not only that ,but all the musicians play with sooo much love and you can see how much they love to play those instruments! This is nothing ,listen to the first part ,your hair will stay up full with goosbupms!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Hello from România! I ve wach this all concert, i have it on Dvd is just amazing!!!
Yanni is one of the best music composers EVER! He will go down in history as such. I compare him to Bach, Mozart and such composers. His music tells stories!!
Charlie Adams is the drummer at this concert. He is the one who formed "Chameleon", the group both played in prior to taking off on their own. Yanni was the keyboardist then. Charlie Adams is one of the most magnetic drummers I've ever seen and believe me, with the friendship they've had .... he could have any part of the stage he wants with whatever barriers are needed.
I've been a Yanni fan since the early 1990s! Charlie is the only drummer I've ever seen with him. except for those extra drums and percussions! Yanni, in my opinion, is epic! I've seen him live 3 times, and it only gets better!
Flautist is Pedro Eustache. He plays many instruments within this orchestra and either makes or repairs the instruments himself. I believe he lives in California, but is from South America. Tragedy in his life, but it hasn't stopped him.
You need to look at some of the work by the violinist Samvel Yarvinian! Probably one of the top violinist on the planet! Yet he incorporates his talent seemlessly into Yanni's orchestra...
I am a huge Yanni fan. Love New Age music. If you liked him you may want to check out Kitaro as well. Oh! And Vangelis and Enigma.I think Enya sort of evolved around the same time, too.
I found some! Second hand on Mercari. For anyone curious, he’s using Audio Technica ATH M50x headphones in the limited edition DISCONTINUED red and gold.

Masterpiece!🌹♥️
Yanni performed this song live at the Acropolis. And in my opinion, it was a much better performance.

the master 😍
Nothing makes me feel like Yanni's music.

Also try Yanni: Marching Season
INSANE drums. Same concert.
Dude: Got'ta do "Niki Nana" ..... from China concert. Absolutely ASTOUNDING! He was just a boy. "Niki Nana" means "we are one".
Suggestion: Watch all of the "Tribute" video. You will be blown away.
Oh boy. I have questions. I have mixed feelings. But I do understand the succes of this concert. But still...
Need to know what kind of headphones you’re using!!! Love the color.

He doesn't read music. He has translators to communicate with his well-trained musicians.
