I have a feeling he might be a comedy musician
I dunno, I'm being pretty subtle about it...
@@Insaneian Guess it'll continue to be a mystery...
Really? Where'd you get that impression?
@@pixlv6384 Not sure... maybe something he said?
And a wonderful one at that.
Damn, I totally forgot he made that video. Great to see it again 😅
Your comment about the fear of palindromes being a palindrome itself reminds me of a Daniel skit, on the fear of long words being a long word itself.
Yup, I was going to comment the same thing! That video is called "when you have hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia"
Hey Ian! Just wanted to hop by to say you are my favorite reaction channel. All other reaction channels are like "wow that just happened!" But you actually add something. Thank you for making me smile in my day to day drag.
Well, thank YOU for making *me* smile with your comment! I appreciate it!

_Red Dwarf_ also did a mirror universe episode, and time progressed backward in that universe. If you reverse the footage the dialogue is _hilarious._
Holy crap, I love Red Dwarf and totally forgot about that episode! It's been years since I've seen the early seasons, I need to give them a rewatch.
I have a copy of a really great graphic novella called “Otto” in which all of the dialogue (and all text on signs, billboards, screens, print, license plates, etc…) are palindromes.
I also really like flippendromes (turn them upside down and they read the same). For example: “suns”
Whoa! I've never heard of Flippendromes! That's cool af!
16:37 Talking about shifting diegesis while the recording stops and reveals the laptop you are watching the video on is some accidental brilliance right there.
Accidental Synergy is my favorite 😅
hey Ian, can I recommend Matt Storer's comedy music shorts? He's got a ton of half-minute to minute long videos of parodies and original comedy music that would be right up your alley. If you sorted by oldest to newest, his entire catalogue would fill a solid episode for you.
You can certainly recommend them, but I tend not to react to things under a minute, as that's a bit too short. Also...I've pretty much seen all of his shorts, as I follow him on TikTok. 😅 Thanks tho!
@@Insaneian Fair enough, it's highly improbable we could tell you about anything funny you didn't already know about 😅
A *lot* of modern-invented phobia names are either "latin prefix + 'Phobia'", are an example of the phobia in question, or are a pun on that fear. A few examples...
1) Nomophobia - fear of being without without your mobile device (no mo phone-bia)
2) Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia - Fear of long words (is very long)
3) Papyrophobia - Fear of paper (a funny one because papyrus is a type of writing surface like paper, a font, and a character)
4) Venustraphobia - Fear of beautiful women (Venus is associated with women and beauty, and a venues [subject] trap is a common term for something pretty that ensnares the [subject].)
That said, I think (skit)Daniel here has developed "Eisoptrophobia" - a fear of mirrors. And understandably so, the people inside are watching him poop :c
Great vid as always bud!
Another great reaction to a very fun song. Daniel Thrasher's videos always hit that surrealist comedy vibe that I love.
You bringing up musicals reminded me of a fun series called Movies, Musicals & Me. It's a short comedy series by a theatre group called Team Starkid, the premise being a world where every famous film has been adapted into a stage musical. Seems like it could be up your alley?
I'm somewhat familiar with Team StarKid, but not that particular series. I'll look into it, thanks!
never thought id see you cover danel thrasher stuff . . . but im all for it!
still enjoy the nerdcore breakdowns more still lol
This is actually the second time I've covered something by Daniel! And thanks!
Daniel also made a song called Shiny Object Syndrome
Oh yeah, sadly I saw that one before I started reacting to his stuff.
they got lost mentioned‼️
Yay! More Ian. I was just watching the Harry Potter vs Luke Skywalker review.
love the vid, as always. question, i thought you already reacted to stups’ wool over our eyes, but i can’t seem to find the video? am i just mandela effecting rn or have you reacted to it already?
I did, but only on Patreon since it's not really a comedy song.
@@Insaneian ah, that makes sense, more reasons to sub to the patreon really, tbh i was already considering it.
How lin-manuel miranda orders a pizza is also a song by Daniel thrasher that would be great
I've already seen it...I'm fact, I mention here in this very video that it won a Logan Award (comedy music award, of which I'm the chairperson) last year. 😅
@@Insaneian sorry must have forgot, still love the reactions
@@Sean-rb6hy no worries! And thanks!
I have nothing to say i just want to make my presence known
"Science fiction... mnyeh"
Can you react to Deja vu (but worse) by Schmoyoho it features Weird Al
I'm already planning on it!
@@Insaneian great I hope you like it
I feel like a lot of people here won't know what the hell I'm talking about, but I would love to see you react to the songs from Friday Night Funkin': Funkadelix. A lot of effort from the devs went into the lyrics, and they're all pretty funny, but most of them are very explicit, especially the seventh song, Philly Nice. Just throwin that suggestion out there, you don't have to if you don't want to. All that aside, you're incredible, Ian. Keep up the good work!
I have a recommendation for a song, I would recommend Igowallah by Daniel Thrasher. It is a parody of rap
That was the first Daniel Thrasher video I reacted to! It's already on my channel! 😅
@Insaneian oh lol my bad, new subscriber to the channel
@@doomawsogaming no worries!
@@Insaneian I think I started watching you when I got the it just works suggested to me
I think you should react to nothing suits me like a suit from how I met your mother if you haven't already
I haven't reacted to it, but I did see it when the episode aired. I usually do first impression reactions tho, so I'm not likely react to something I've already seen. Sorry.
That said, I did a song years ago (before the final season) about HIMYM called "Suit Up!" You can finding it on streaming services still!
fourth (im doing this cause i have no idea what to say so hi(edit: also i have no idea if i am the fourth comment but whatever, fuhgetabouti))
you think aibohphobia is bad? try telling someone who's scared of long words they have hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia.
I saw that Daniel Thrasher sketch too! 😅
