Inspiring and inviting, in two words. Thanks for sharing. Next year I'll be cycling the French Alps on my brand new Ridley which I'm expecting this week. 2027 it'll be Rome!
Great video. I really like your editing. It must have been hard to decide what to leave out. Ive biked through Friesland last year when I did the Ronde van Nederland route. Hope to see more adventures. Cheers from Perth, Australia.
@@simplydebes Thanks! Yeah it was hard indeed so much footage, and just small fragments into the edit. Also it is my first video with Final Cut Pro, so I learned a lot. Took me a while to finish the project, but in the end I think it’s worth it. There will sure be more upcoming adventure videos in the future :) Friesland is nice to bike. I almost know every road haha. Cheers from Leeuwarden, Friesland.
@@joostdekkers ooh leuk! Jaa deze route heb ik zelf wat bedacht. Wel leuk, want op veel plekken waar je langs fietst zien mensen zelden fietsers, dus altijd aanspraak.
Nice! Oh yeah I would say it has been really helpful to navigate, to remind me when to eat, and for the people back home to live track me. It was until I reached Switzerland, that I no longer could rely on Garmin navigation alone. So I found out about the app called MapOut. That helped a lot to find the right bicycle paths that I no longer needed to hike-a-bike. And it shows the elevation too along the path which I really find helpful. It’s also easy to send a route from map-out to your garmin in case it was raining. So I could protect my phone from the rain inside my panniers when it rained. It’s totally worth it on long trips IMO
I had no troubles with my brand new santos except 1 flat in Italy, but that was a pen clip piece of scrap on the side of the road. But the bike itself is really the best of the best I ever had. I really love the rohloff hub and the XT brakes. The belt didn’t let me down ether, I’m 100% confident in the build quality of the bike. That’s what you can expect from a €7,5k bike

Mooi om met zien! En : grappig, ik reed dit voorjaar ook naar Rome. Andere route, dat wel. Deze had je zelf samengesteld?

Amazing trip and video! I am planning on doing a long trip soon and I'm wondering if you think a bike computer is helpful and worth the price?

O, and.....any troubles with your Santos? Gear hub, tyres, brakes, belt?
