you can tell its not perfect but sure is better than most of the stuff featured here...
only thing i noticed was some clear coat peels on the back left side bumper 3:11

+Ricardo Bravo Yeah it's a 16 year old black car. Plenty of swirls in the paint close up. the front pass fender is green (horror story when rolling fenders and trying to run 225 50 15 tires lol). Overall it's not terrible, but I've has this car for 5 years now, I know every single little blemish on it. This car may be getting repainted in the near future:)

Idk why this won't let me reply to you directly. But yeah I have a 03 2.7 so something like 400-500~ lbs heavier then a Miata. Like I said I'm still impressed, his build prob cost 1/2 of what I paid for my car.

I'm sure you are already deep into your project, but for 300whp, you can keep the stock engine (if 2001 vvt) and put a c30-94 rotrex on it. Easy 300whp with progressive power and torque curves that keep your pistons and rods happy. High 400whp with a built engine and custom cams with that rotrex. The fastest miata EVER on several tracks (records still haven't been beat) was a small rotrex build, custom cams 400whp, simple aero, great driver.

Straight line speed in a Miata is missing the point. Miata's are about going around turns better than almost any car made at any price, including anything Italian and anything German.
I live in Western Connecticut and take my '04 Mazdaspeed NB Miata on the thousands of miles, (literally) of twisty up and down rural backroads of Connecticut, western Mass., Vermont and northern New York State's Catskill and Adirondak mountains and Lake Champlain. Between 40 and 80 mph, 4000 to 5500 revs, 3rd and 4th gears is my Miata's sweet spot on these beautiful roads. To me, this is what Miata's are all about.

I had V-Maxx coil overs and sway bar, and I loved them.
with a tune yes it will feel alot better at low end because of the fuel map when its out of boost or low but on a stock ecu it doesn't know its boosted so it runs like shit because of lack of air flow from intercooler, piping etc etc but with a tune the stand alone its tuned for that
Hope all these clean miatas inspire you to make your next builds just as clean.

I know this is 5 years old, but the AFR is running in the 10s at WOT. Seems pretty rich - 11.5 would result in more power and efficiency without too much added risk.
During this time, I had been playing with the tune some and had, we'll call it, the wrong map/tune uploaded this day. The biggest giveaway was the launch, because it bogged hard 😅. But yeah afterwards, I had it in the low 11's for AFR target under load

Nice! My car is also a black 2000 year model NB MX-5 Miata LS. Only difference is that everything about it is stock except for a short ram intake and shift knob. Of course,whoever owned my car before I did painted the stock wheels black in an attempt to make them somewhat match the rest of the vehicle's paint color. Oh,and my soft top was replaced with a tan colored one and while I would have preferred a standard black colored top,I've more or less grown used to it,especially considering that stock tan interior that NB Miata LS models tend to come with. Right now I'm too damn poor to afford to do any mods to my car,though.
hey man just save. this was also bone stock when I picked it up. I never thought it would come this far they may have all came with tan tops. mine was black when I got it and I replaced it with another black vinyl with glass about 2 years ago. thanks for comment though!

I still think I would be going with the jackson blower instead of a turbo setup. The blower on these cars makes a lot of hp and torque.

Now I see the difference on Miata MX-5 models.. Now, this are MX5 II called as the NB model that with 1.8L engine and could run 127 mp/h or 205 km/h. That's the limits of it and it is played in the Fifth Stage on Initial D.

I have a Stock 93 Miata that will Pull to 118 MPH Stock, and I let out of It LOL, Also had a 92 Miata Sunburst Miata , with a Flying Miata Turbo Kit Carb Legal Kit with a torson rear end out of a 2000 6 speed with 3:90 Gears had it up too 131 MPH but let out of it because My Levi Jacket started to float out of the car, still pulling LOL

Miatas can be as fast as you want it to be, you just have to sacrifice comfort... Recently was out on track with a stock Porsche GT4 and a BMW M2 and my engine is bone stock, never even been opened i overtook both of them and had 2-3 seconds faster laptimes. ofcourse it migh be because im a f**king fabulous driver but still:)

Yeah it is, they also canceled all other events going on there. Winterfest wasn't held at Langley this year either like it has been. It's a shame, that place is awesome
