Great Video! I have to do an underwater shot in a pool. How would you approach that? It’s maybe a 50mm to 75ish (zoom lens) on the fx3. And aside with housing- would I need filters etc… Hope this makes sense!!! Thanks I’m Garry
great video. very helpful. I wonder how sharp are the corners with that dome and how wide is it? There is a lot of talk about the distortion the domes creates, vs wet lens.
hey! the wet lenses esp somethign like the new WACP's would definetly be better in the corners. i dont find it bothers me, especially given the massive addition of both cost and weight to go WACP. Also the WACP makes things too wide for my taste... but its def sharper! sorry for the late reply
Yo Kuma, thank you for this video, what would be a similarly ideal relatively simple setup but for still images? I am mainly a photographer, not a “professional” per se, but I still prefer high quality images and performance. having trouble narrowing down the options in terms of pairing a camera (that works above and under water) with a housing 🙏🏾
hey! yeah, would really depend on what kind of lighting you want - not too differetn from land (flash/strobes for photography vs constant lighting like for video). would also get a more photo-oriented camera obviously. sorry for the late response! the setup could also differ on types of arms/setup you want, but otherwise the housing and ports are quite similar
Thanks!! I actually can't remember off the top of my head, but I didn't get any special discounts so it was more or less the advertised prices on Nauticam and Keldan's websites. Sorry not more helpful!

Very cool! We are building almost the same system with the fx30 right now. Make sure you share some of your footage :) Have fun!
Will def do! I'm only just starting out in uw video - have posted something already but hopefully get better over time.
Very cool!
Thank you!

@ thanks!!
Thank you for your review! What was the total cost of your rig? Could you please post a list of all components?

Could you please let me know what is the battery life for this camera in real shooting underwater?
i didn't notice any different than on land, think its usually cold that reduces battery life but guessing its actually warm in teh housing
