I love that you guys pointed out that teaching is completely new to Luke so he’s conflicted on how to go about creating the new Jedi order he’s trying make. Not to mention, at this point he’d already tried and failed to train Leia. I’m sure training someone like Grogu is conflicting because he sees his heart also isn’t fully in it, he’s giving him the choice to live his life first, a choice a lot of young Jedi didn’t get. Maybe it’s even a test for himself, will Grogu choose love and attachment or is he accepting of the old Jedi ideals, cementing how he wants to teach going forward.
Luke would see a lot of himself in Grogu, looking out for his friends/Mando despite knowing the importance of learning the ways of the force. Grogu’s journey could easily parallel Lukes while training with Yoda, with Luke trying to overcome him making the same errors, but ultimately learning himself that they are to be made
I love this new world we're setting up. We have a show about a bounty hunter in Mandalorian armor who's not really a Mandalorian, another about a denounced Mandalorian who is a bounty hunter and has a Darksaber but is not really a Jedi and then one about a Jedi who has denounced the Jedi way, in the midst of all that, there is a Mandalorian foundling who could very well become the next Mandalorian Jedi, perhaps destined to rule all of Mandalore one day, after Din Djarin's time comes to an end, probably. I think all roads lead to Grogu
Chapter 6 was best.....the finale will be crazy.....I think the rumor of finale having Han Solo may turn out true since they now have Cad Bane in this....and one person who's perfect shooting first is Han.
@@PeverellTheThird it’s debatable. Boba is the clone of one but I don’t know how that translates into knowing how to be one or the customs, mandalorians are big on customs etc. I recall Bo calling out Boba for not being one despite his armour and mocking him for being a clone.
@@chazo1367 The problem is that the Mandalorians are a fractured society with different factions that all have different _definitions_ on what it means to be Mandalorian. Jango Fett was a Mandalorian in every sense of the word - but the New Mandalorians refused to acknowledge him as one because of their pacifist ideals, and the Death Watch likewise refused to consider him Mandalorian because of their feud with Jaster who'd raised Jango and their larger conflict with the True Mandalorians, the sect that Jango was part of. By the definition of the True Mandalorians Boba was every bit the Mando his father was, raised in the same way and taught the same creed and identity. It's no surprise that Bo Katan, someone raised by Death Watch's ideals and having inherited their beliefs, would refuse to consider Fett a Mandalorian simply out of what amounts to spite and inherited hatred - and given her own chronic hypocrisy as she considers Din a Mandalorian _despite_ his background being all but identical to Fett's so far as their own creed is concerned. End of the day Bo Katan's less of a Mandalorian than any we've seen. She may have the blood ties but she picks and chooses which rules to follow as they suit her, between Maul technically being the Mandalore by their own creed, her starting a civil war rather than challenging him as their law demands and later simply accepting the Darksaber rather than winning it in combat. Boba wasn't a Foundling but was raised as one, and truthfully his blood connection _would_ have made him Mandalorian anyways even by the New Mandalorian standard as well. The difference is just that Boba honors that legacy and his father's teachings in his own way rather than lording it over everyone else, part of the reason he was so insistent he get his armor back which had also been Jango's. Far as I'm aware Boba still operated according to the Supercommando Codex even during his years working for the Empire, too, meaning he never broke his oaths or turned away from his Mandalorian teachings.

I really wonder if Luke won't so much be training Grogu to be a Jedi, but help him to unlock the suppressed memories thus having him regain the Jedi skills he's lost. That would be a good way to work around Grogu not being in Luke's temple AND allow him to follow his own path.

Im glad Luke mentions grogus lifetime...we know Yoda and his race can live for way too long, and I do not think we as an audience have ever grasped the amount of loss Yoda witnessed on his life even out living his own apprentices.
It’s something that, depending on how Grogu’ life plays out, we could see that lifespan moreso. We are getting a good look at Yoda’s in the High Republic era with him being prevalent, just not the focus. It’s given a good idea of just how long the Jedi Order flourished
During the order 66 scene Barris Offee’s symbol was on the right hand wall by the second Jedi with green saber , she was master luminara’s fallen padawan and Ahsokas best friend till she betrayed and set her up as the bomber of the Jedi temple
I enjoy watching various reactions to this episode. Not all but most. What I enjoyed about both of your reactions on this is that the both if you blend...excitement and paying attention to what you're viewing. Instead of yelling and screaming when Cad Bane was revealed you both paid attention to what he was saying. Most other viewers just over do it for my taste. Great review guys😎
"Think it through" HOLY S**T. I didn't expect to see the marshal again. OMG THAT'S CIN DRALIG(top knot with the green blade). Dammit Jon and Dave, WHY. I mean Ik why but WHY. This is building a larger universe and I couldn't be happier. I was a blubbering mess this episode.
Another masterpiece episode. Some are not gonna like that Boba was left out again in his own show, however this was incredible seeing all these characters together. I'm really nervous about what Grogu will decide cause Jedi are my favorite. I got teary eyed watching Luke training Grogu plus Ahsoka taking with Luke, Cad Bane was chefs kiss!
I believe Grogu will choose the armor because, as Luke stated, Grogu will outlive Din so he can always train as a Jedi after Din dies. That being said, I believe Din will ultimately go to Mandalore and bathe or drink the Living Waters of Mandalore. The Living Waters will accept Din enabling him to claim he's a true Mandalorian. I also believe that before Din can stop him Grogu will also bathe/drink of the Living Waters and also be accepted as a Mandalorian. This will enable him to become the next Mandalorian Jedi. Now after his Jedi training I don't think Grogu will go after the Dark Saber because that would mean he would have to rule Mandalore for the rest of his life and I can't see that happening.
Cad Bane accidentally gave Boba Fett his army! Cobb Vanth was more than just Marshall, he was one of the Hunt Masters of the Great Krayt Dragon Hunt! Brave Tuskens came from near and far for that epic battle, many bonds were formed and stories told. Once word gets around that a venerated Hunstman has been assaulted by drug-runners, the Pykes won't have a moment of peace on the planet.
Cad freaking Bane wow he looks so awesome in live action, of course Corey Burton brings the character to life with his iconic voice but honestly the physical actor (who I assume is most likely a stunt double) was surprisingly very accurate and faithful to how he was animated in both Clone Wars and Bad Batch, the actor both had to wear a bunch of layered clothing AND extensive prosthetics but was able to bring across just how ruthless and imposing Bane can be, the combination of that with Burton’s voice fully brings Cad to life and imo it worked practically perfectly
That is true, a technicality could be that this is pre Lukes academy, cause Luke also taught Leia after ROTJ as well. So this is probably a technicality

It was almost like she was lowkey hoping he would take him away. I don’t know, that was just an interesting reaction she briefly had. I think it’s important that we saw Grogu’s response to lightsabers and how they reflect in his cute eyes - especially during Order 66, he would most likely think that lightsabers did nothing to protect those Jedi. He can force choke and do a lot of Force wielding already and he can always come back for formal training (which really ISN’T a “necessary” thing - look at how Asoka turned her back on formal training and she’s extremely powerful) after Din dies (hopefully MANY decades from now as an old, old man) if he wants. He can be both! Loved your reactions as always. ☺️ And when she said that Grogu would be safest there on that planet with Luke, I was like, “Uh…nope. Maybe right at this moment, but not 20+ years from now.”
