What a heckuva climb. I was getting out of breath just watching you climb over those ledges. Great video of the steepness of that climb. Well done, the climb and the video.
I've been watching your videos for the past few weeks. Enjoy the way you film the areas and views. I watch someone every year for the past 5 years..I just watched Stella Hikes summit...and watching Taylor and Playground Earth. I'm truly amazed at the miles that you and others do. I'll be following along and binge watching episodes from your start. I would love to try the trail. But Past 60 is not a spring chick anymore. I was listening to you breathe and thought I'd be dying with COPD. I do hike some but no more than 2-3 miles at a time. I wish you all the best on your Summit day and Blessings for safe trails. If you can call rock climbing a trail 😊😂
Ha! I keep thinking the same thing. I need to add “rock climbing” to my list of activities cause a lot of this is nothing more but that. I signed up to “hike” the AT but I’m definitely getting a lesson in rock climbing too. 😁
9:22 - Right on - that's Mt. Madison. Way back, I hiked that Wildcat Ridge Trail, with two fellows from the Boston area. After the climb, and on the way to the top of the Wildcat Ski Area - a relatively level stretch of trail - I felt a pain in my right calf. It was like someone shot it with an arrow - I went right down, got up and took a little sit-down break, leaning against a tree, hoping the pain would subside and I'd be able to hike on to the Carter Notch Hut. After a few minutes, I got to my feet and the pain returned with the same intensity - I could barely move. The two fellows from Boston, caught up and found me once again sitting at the side of the trail. They helped me to the ski area and I got a free ride back down to Route 16. Good thing - otherwise, I'd probably still be up there. Be well, stay safe.
@@BigTOutdoorAdventures Went to see the doctor when I got home to New Jersey, and he said it was a rather useless muscle in the calf and that it would take care of itself, with rest - and it did. I did do the trail again, but from the other direction. Thanks for the response.
Very hard trail there but wonderful views when you got to the top. Glad you had 2 enjoyable days off. Prayers as always for friends / family / fellow hikers and you.
Man you are doing awesome brother. I got off back in PA, was missing the fsmily a ton. Ill be back on trail 23 Aug heading SOBO back to PA. Good luck on the rest of your hike my friend.
I am sorry for the evil laugh but I am thanking God that I hit the Wildcats, on my hunt for the New Hampshire 4,000 Footers, from 19 Mile Brook Trail and took a ski trail down. There is no way in heck that I would voluntarily hike that trail. They are Black Flies not Gnats. Black Flies are the worst. You are right, you have to keep moving if you don't want to get eaten alive. Carter Notch Hut not Carter Gap.
I was standing in the same spot on top of wildcat last August witnessing one of my boys getting married. It was cold and windy but an amazing day. We took the easy way up and down, the ski lift. You were right about Mt Washington being behind those clouds, we had a commanding view that day. Happy trails to you. You probably will pass 2 of my sons in the 100 mile wilderness. I am dropping them off in Baxter State park on July 12th they will be heading south bound. My youngest is heading to Georgia and the one who got married is doing Katahdin to the Jo Mary rd in the 100 mile wilderness.
Kudos for filming so much of that climb. I said hell no. Well done!!! 🤘🕓
What a climb!!! That looks so tremendously difficult!!! You are really doing so GREAT!!! I hope the forecast is wrong and it’s not so wet for you🙏💗
Man that cliff edge looked familiar. Not so sure I can get through there anymore. Thank you for making this. Very inspiring.

Awesome. A prayer sent your way to kero you safe.
Go Big T go! You are my hero.

@@BigTOutdoorAdventures It's very intimidating and treacherous from the videos I have seen. I always keep my Hikers in my prayers 🙏 Take care

Wow! Was it a torn muscle? Did you go back and try it again?

U make a nice video. 👍
Taylor gave you a shout out this am. Tough hiking, looks like your long legs are helping some. Takes a brave person to do these climbs!
I will check it out! Thanks

Beautiful Views Thank you for taking us along on your Journey 💓
I am impressed with the video you took on that steep climb. That would have been hard to film. Really great footage.
Thanks
Big T you are one day behind OG even after taking 2 days off! I look forward to seeing you every morning. Keep heading north my friend.
You're right about where OG is. He just posted about the Wildcats this morning. That trail going up Wildcat is no joke!

Incredible view spot for a wedding!
Going up Wildcat is one tough SLOG!!!! And then at the " Other end of the Presidentials" look out for Whaleback!!
Between the gnats and the slugs must have been a bit hard to concentrate.
