What is Allergic Fungal Sinusitis? This is a very specific fungal sinus infection that is caused by environmental allergens. Patients with AFS can also experience nasal polyps and even asthma. If left untreated, it can develop into chronic or more serious conditions.
As long-time residents know, Houston has some of the worst allergies especially during spring and even going into summertime.
