    A few Ramadans ago I made a commitment to continue recite the Qur'an cover to cover outside of Ramadan, and Alhamdulillah, with a regimen of reciting daily before/after Fajr between 10 and 15 pages (come rain, shine, holidays, vacation), I now manage to complete a 3 to 4 khatams outside of Ramadan. Then when Ramadan comes, I aim for at least 2 or 3 khatams.
    Starting this Ramadan, I intend to add 1 with translation in sha Allah when in i'itikaf, as I'll have more time, and then continue with translation throughout the year. So even if my khatams will reduce, iA I'll have a better understanding and therefore it'll be more impactful. I have already tasted the sweetness of reciting with translation, and it makes the world of a difference, SubhanAllah, especially when you read the Surah summary, reasons for revelation, themes, connections between ayah, etc.
    May Allah make us all people of the Qur'an.

    The more one reads, it does actually get easier and more familiar alhamdulillah. Where I have left a gap - say a month - then it becomes harder again!

    Jazakallahu Khairan Ya Ustad ❤❤❤ Subhanallah! I literally thought of sending you a message on Twitter regarding this issue. I can't recite the Quran without going deep into Tafsir. Everytime I attempt to read Quran for Khatm purposes, I simply cannot ans everybody around is focused on Khatm. I'm so confused and worried that I won't be getting enough ajr or even utilise Quran well in Ramadan. Juzeetum Al Jannah ❤

      I hearing aids are connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth.. and for me it’s more convenient to listen to these lectures while doing my house chores or strolling outside my house.. it is always good but some of sheikh Omer sulemans lectures are too low.. and since I love to listen to his lectures I get annoyed.. as the episode about Omer ibn Alkhattab ( ra) in the series of’ the first “ were all good for me but the last one “ conquered of Jerusalem “ was again too low in volume.. in spite of increasing the volume on full I had difficulty to grasp it.. I hope something will be done regarding this issue.. it may benefit others too who has hearing issues. Anyway jazak Allahu khairan katheera for your replies may Allah bless you.

    Ok, so I gather from this video that, if due to my circumstances I only have time for one of the two, I should focus first on reading the translation so I at least understand, rather than reciting using a transliteration, what I don’t. Correct?

      @mahiix Рік тому +4

      It's sunnah to eat Suhur. Even if you eat some dates and water .. just eat something.
      Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The pre-fasting meal is a blessed meal, so do not abandon it even if you only take a sip of water. Verily, Allah and His angels send blessings upon those who take the pre-fasting meal.” Source: Musnad Aḥmad 11086

      The more you read the Quran, the more your recitation improves and the faster you can read. It takes practicing all throughout the year so when you reach Ramadan, reading it in one day is very possible. If you did 50 pages every hour, you’d be done in about 10 hours. But this is only a goal for Ramadan or the last 10 nights of Ramadan…not everyday of life

      There 3 types of recitaion. The slowest is one where all the makhraj and tajweed are recited carefully, bringing it out. The middle one is balance one and then the first one is the fastest whereby a lot of mad lazim, harfulin etc are ignored. I think if u follow the first one, it is doable. Sadly for the normal people like us who is not like famous Qari, The middle one are prefered. Most importanly, there should be contemplation of The Quran as well and huge sinful mistake where the meaning can be changed during recitation to be avoided.

    Is it Okay to share personal stories of how much Qur’an you read for clout instead of sharing the story of the salafis on how much Holy Qur’an they read in Ramadan? Which one are we going to use to guide our Qur'an recitation, is it what the prophet recommended or what they salafis did?
    Are the Salafs better than
    Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) to whom the Holy Qur’an was revealed to?
    Remember Allah says read the glorious Qur'an with tarteel. That is, recite it with the right recitation and reflect on its meanings so that it can impact your life. After that, what is the right speed to use in reciting the Qur’an? Do you recommend Zamzamat, Had, Tahfik or Tadwir?
