what an impressive car I cant wait to buy this car('17 S awd) it's so luxurious compared to my 300k mile 1996 rav4. Also, this thing is so fast for merging on the short on ramps for the highway where as in my car sometimes i have to use the breakdown lane if i dont time the merge correctly. also it's not much bigger then my rav4 so parking is a snap!
Kyle houlihan I bought a 2017 SE even after watching this tepid review, and I freaking love it. Put 20 K on it and not a single problem. Plenty of power and handles much better than my Toyota. I picked out a blue one because it looks so good in this video.
VW should have just brought over the shorter-wheelbase Tiguan from Europe along with the Allspace (which is the only version we get in the U.S.), mainly because the previous-generation Tiguan is extremely outdated looking for its class and is technologically outdated as well other than the infotainment system fitted on 2016+ Tiguans, which is one of VW’s latest systems and in my opinion, the best in it’s class.
I just leased the 2018 Limited Tiguan (aka the previous model). I drove the new model and I didn't like it as much. The miller cycle engine lacked the punch of the previous model and hesitated off the line - and that wasn't the stop/go system. My previous car was the 2013 Beetle Turbo, which was a GTI with less sportiness, though that Beetle could handle pretty well; it's cornering limits exceeded my ability. The Tiguan has the same engine, but more mass and sits on stilts. I'm not going to throw it around a 35 mph corner at 70 mph, like I could with the Beetle. This car rides nicely, is quiet, has some punch when you need it. The transmission is not as good as the DSG I had in my Beetle, but does the job. The Android Auto interface works great. Cargo space is limited if you don't lower the back seats but more than adequate for my needs. I got a great deal from Classic VW in Mentor Ohio and it was priced better than the Beetle and Golf. Add AWD for winter and why not.
I dont know why vw is still selling this old car, the should sell the normal European Tiguan along side the long wheel base that will be launching for the US
Mazda cx5 looks way better and has a nicer interior. German cars are so boring and overpriced ! And for that price you can get a lexus which looks better and drives better not to mention reliability!=

I’m very happy with my 2018 tiguan limited and aftermarket parts for tubing thee fine were plenty and I also lowered it with full coil overs
