Hell yeah!!!! been hoping you would make one of these ever since you started the anime doctor who intros. Love getting to see a little showcase of your editing talents ^-^
this is THE SHIT... i want them to do the doccy who theme like this now... i love this SO MUCH YAYYYYYYYYY I'M SO IMPRESSED THIS FEELS LIKE THE FUTURE OF DOCCY WHO AHAHA I LOVE THIS THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS
Hey Sam, obviously no pressure here, I know the work you have on your slate and suchlike, but if you plan to revisit this series at some point I think I found an OP that might be interesting. I know I mentioned the English version of TOP by Stray Kids a few years back, and Vortex by Jaws is, quite honestly, almost a perfect fit. Obviously, you know, 0 pressure. Just passing it along.
@@SamyulDavis You know the most impressive part of that song? The "reverse" bit of that song wasn't edited in. (I mean, any moreso than normal editing) The singer memorized the sounds and sung it. He performs it live. And if you reverse the song it's recognizable. (Like, not perfect, but it's recognizably the lyrics he's reversing.)
@@SamyulDavis I guess maybe :30-2:00 could be 12 / Missy, split by the reverse? If you focus on Missy's character arc, rather than the vault/Nardole/Bill, like prior. Honestly I think that section almost works better as a HS:HB point:counterpoint. God, it's *_so_* perfect that it's hard to find a spot to place it. Weird problem to have.
This is something I never knew I needed 👍
"Planet Earth, 1999. He's back, and it’s about time"
I've never seen the anime associated with this theme song, but this edit made me tear up. The 96 movie is my favorite piece of Who

It's a gorgeous match for one of the Clara seasons, I just don't know what to do with the rap segment.
