  • Feeling safe and secure is extremely important in relationships. It states safety allows everything else to flow well and insecurity stems from feeling unsafe. It argues women especially need reassurance and safety that the relationship will continue, and if they do not feel this way they will try to cause chaos to achieve it. The feeling of safety can be built through little daily gestures that show the other person you are supportive and responsive to their needs. Intimacy and sexual chemistry are also downstream effects that require building safety and connection throughout the day through touch, comments and interacting in a way that makes the other feel cared for. It claims most people think sex is an on/off switch limited to the bedroom, but it is actually an ongoing process of filling the intimacy "glass" through constant non-sexual connection to easily transition to being intimate.

Interesting turn guys, you start to grow up. Not everything is so directly related to reassurance etc., but it is not just “send it”.

My best friend is still my girl after 30 years.....we don't have sex nearly as much as we did when we were rabbits (we get tired!), but that's OK , cuz when it's a bond, you know it. good conversation.
