I love DGD, love Emarosa, love Slaves in this era, turns out (much like another group of bands I really dig) I just love listening to Jonny sing. Doesn’t really matter what band he’s in at the moment he’s just good. Magnetic.
The songs Slaves releases are all very heavy on the vocals and would be tough for anyone to perform for an entire tour. That being said, I'm amazed he can hit any notes by the last show. His voice must be super roughed up after dozens of shows.
That’s not really an excuse. It means he’s singing in a way that is really hard on his voice. You can have a powerful voice and still sound good and protect your voice, look at Bruno Mars and his range might be higher than Jonny’s.
Actually no, for Johnny this is normal. People with higher keys only use the same effort we do in the keys we sing in. When we go higher it strains a little.. same for him. It doesn’t strain him as much as you think. He’s used to it. He sings where he’s natural and comfortable as every vocalist should. Same with Vic Fuentes or Kellin Quinn, or micheal jagman. That’s just how they sing normal.
man i love jonny, yeah he cooked the lyrics, yeah he cooked some of the pitches, but like it was the end of a tour and the passion he puts into it is just something else and is still overall a sick performance. he recorded the studio vocals for this song in 15 minutes and theyre damn perfect. he may have issues but he also knows how to redeem himself.
Aviqq hate5six has a lot of videos... never used a cell phone to record any of them... so I mean, I kind of COULD watch this show recorded on an actual camera on an actual computer or my tv for that matter without use of a cell phone. So next time, be better at being a smart ass.

I love Jonny but am I the only that realized he missed the way the second verse was supposed to go into an epic pre bridge thing that I could only dream of thinking of to do in my songs ....but he botched it you can see it on his face so he just does the first verse all over....that sucks for the listening audience....sober not sober I have been sober from drugs for nearly 4 years and wouldn’t ever miss such a big part of a song even when under the influence....but I get it being tired in tour and all....love you Jonny please please stay alive brother so many of us just want to enjoy the gift that God gave us which is your voice and unique creative concepts

He sounds amazing live, trust me. And a few songs in can wear out your voice a bit especially if you have his register or use a lot of force for his rough like voice. He looks like he was mainly just having fun and maybe that's why he wasn't as accurate but that doesn't make him bad. people get tired on stage, moving around, especially if you get a rush of anxiety it can be the worst. You can't place your opinion off of one video especially if you weren't there. look up more videos and you'll see a difference in performance. being a professional vocalist doesn't mean you're perfect or are always going to sound like your tracks.

When he first re-joined DGD his voice was rough too. Just been touring constantly. With how explosive his vocal style is, he needs rest. I think he's doing that now, he'll be back blowing our minds in no time.
