      Hmmmm you seem like the kind of person that takes their vehicle to a mechanic to get repaired but then the mechanic causes more damage and then presents you with the bill and you pay it then thank the mechanic……….. 🤣

      OR
      The reason he took the bill because he is going to take it to ANOTHER mechanic who fixes it and is thankful now because he knows what the problem is and can ignore what the first one did and refuse to PAY it .. I guess the same way you’re implying that if you’re not satisfied is the same way people who didn’t like this episode or Star Wars doesn’t have to watch it and NOT listen to someone else on how to fix their car the same way not to listen to some random person to them what they should watch 🤨

    At one point it felt like Sol and Torbin were in a frantic downward spiral. It reminded me of Yoda’s mantra about fear leading to the dark side. This series is showing the various ways people get pulled and/or seduced by the dark side.

    • @HorrorSpout
      @HorrorSpout 27 днів тому +2

      I agree but I think it’s a bit more subtle - it’s not necessarily getting pulled to the dark side it’s that they’re not living in the light which is the true balance according to GL and ultimately what will lead to downfall of the order.

    We still have to find out what Qimir has to tell Osha about Brendok. Sol was an emotional wreck while recalling this story. A clue, for me, is the statement that the Night sisters don't raise younglings let alone train them. We know that Assaj Ventress was born on Dathomir and that they have a way to select mates. This statement makes me believe parts of this story are off. People are the jumping the gun assuming the mystery is all unraveled. We have to watch all of these episodes we

      But in ep 3 we are told that their coven was hiding because they were never able to practice their beliefs in peace, and only these witches survived.
      Also, Torbin says they have the same midichlorians and another therm I can't remember, so it's like a person's consciousness was split in 2 and went into 2 bodies before birth and this would mean they were created using the force and a ritual.
      These witches are different from the ones on Dathomir. They have different markings too. Dathomir night sisters have darker stripes on their faces, these have white spirals, and there are probably no men left in their culture.

    • @taylormadealpha
      @taylormadealpha 26 днів тому +1

      @@se-lene Whether or not these Witches are the same isn't really the point. What I'm saying is we hear them say that the Dathomiri don't raise younglings let alone train them. We know for a fact that this isn't true. This for me is a clue in this entire mystery. How Sol remembers that night is the absolute truth. Honestly, if they made the word of Sol and or the Jedi the absolute truth, that'd be the first part of the show that made me think that can't be. They've spent the entire show showing us a flawed order only to come back to the all knowing, all truthful Jedi? That doesn't make sense to me. There's something more going on. The Dathomiri not having children is just a clue that tells me parts of that story are flawed.
      Whether or not they're an offshoot or not remains to be seen. What we do know is that the Dathomiri in Ahsoka s1 also refer to or describe the Force using the same "the Thread" language. So, we know they're two covens of exiled witches who both visualize the Force as the Thread.

    Should we count the crimes? Disobeying a master, disobeying a team lead. Interference in the local planetary government or culture on a non-Republic world. Disobeying direct orders of the High Council. Murder or at least manslaughter, kidnapping, lying to the High Council, lying to the Jedi authorities and Republic officials. Most of the blame goes to Sole. The rest goes to Indara who failed to control her Padawan, failed to control her team, disobeyed direct orders of the High Council resulting in extermination (genocide?) of an entire society. Not to mention all the lying. I’m seeing at least 9 charges against Sole, and 5 to 7 for Indara if not more as I am not an expert on Republic and Jedi Law. Torbin probably has one charge of disobeying his master, and Kelnacca probably receives a slap on the wrist since he was mostly just doing what Indara told him to do.

    The hyperspace disaster that Indara was talking about in Acolyte episode 7. It was in the book Star Wars High Republic Light of the Jedi & Into the Dark. Where you can learn that all life on some planets was built in this event. Vernestra was alive at that time and because she is more connected to the force and when she travels through hyperspace she tends to have pain/"nausea". You could say that it is something similar to when Darth Nihilus in Star Wars by Republic vacuum cleaners the life from the planets. Better to read it or at least watch some lore video about it.

    Nice vid!
    I had this theory that Mae and Osha were going to merge into 1. We now know their conception split them in to 2 halves of the same essence. I think their ascension ceremony was the convergence of their 2 halves. Notice the tattoo. It’s a yen yang symbol.
    Annaseya said in ep. 3 that ascension is about sacrificing a part of yourself. And Osha really did not want to do it. She dropped lines like “I don’t want to share with Mae” and “we are not the same”.
    Also, the other witches this episode felt that if Osha left it would be disaster, hinting they needed both to survive, not just one.
    So final thing… listen to their rhyme they same at the start of ep. 3. We hear it as a nursery rhyme, but what if was more. What if was the words to a spell? What if osha ascended and got her tattoo then her and Mae held hands and said the rhyme. I mean this the 3 rd episode they said it! (Episode 2 3 and 7).
    I think Osha will complete her ascension at the end of next episode.

      Yes, I came to the same conclusion. Their chant is misleading because it is backwards. The power of many (coven) with the help of the vergence creates two. The power of two creates one. The twins will use that turn into smoke magic to combine together to become one person. The power of one is the combined force power of the two which was already measured by the Jedi as being very high. Maybe it took eight years for their powers to develop to the desired level. I guess this person would be considered a match for the Jedi and could lead and protect them from the Jedi. Plus they can always make more. This would certainly interest the Sith.

    With the path to Hell being paved with good intentions, and seeing what the events here put Torbin and Kelnacca through, I think that Master Sol will become a Sith Lord. Because it’s either that, or he’ll need to turn himself in and be blamed for everything or they kill him off which would make it harder to see how they planned to hope to continue this with a season 2.

    Hey do you think that the death of everyone on Brendock was the sacrifice ?
    And just like the story of the remnants and sepiroth from FF7 the twins are supposed to become one being again ? FF7 calls it the reunion and in the acolyte it is the ascension.. is it possible that they are the living consciousness of Tenebrous or plageus ? Could they be setting up that plagues essence transferred before his eventual death at the hands of our commander and chief . Shiev Palpatine? I hope that is what they are doing to bring plageis to live action .sorry if I misspelled anything but you have to admit the ascension is alot like the reunion from ff7 if that is indeed what they are doing .

      I liked the references to the hyperspace catastrophe that wiped out life on some planets; of which in the last episode Jedi master Vernestra has pain/nausea from traveling through hyperspace due to her strong connection to the force.
      The fact that Sol was an emotional Jedi like Dooku, Anakin and Quigon Jinn was seen in quite a big way.
      The turn of the plot, who is responsible for the death of the entire Clan of these Witches who follow the path of Bogan = Darkness in magic, they were quite similar to the Witches of the Sisterhood of the Night from Dathomir, where Darth Maul also comes from.
      The fights were great, the choreography was great and seeing two Jedi fight against a possessed Wookie Jedi was great.
      But most of all, normally, just like Mother Cora, I felt this emotional pain in my heart. When Sol killed her partner, co-mother of two children and the love of her life, mother Aniseya, in front of her eyes.
      The destruction reminded me of something similar to when the Jedi destroyed the entire planet of Korriban, where the original Sith race came from.

    Unless Mother Koril is a secret Sith apprentice, which I very much doubt, this looks to be totally a failure of the Jedi Order and their poor teaching during the High Republic. In the beginning, the Sith resulted from the failure of the Jedi, so this failure shown in the Acolyte is entirely plausible. I suspect Qimir (as good a name as any) shows up later when Mae is looking for a way to get her revenge--and Qimir isn't really a Sith as he says, "there is no name for what I am." He's a would-be Sith. A dark Jedi out for revenge against the Jedi Order for whatever grievances he's harboring. Of course, that's exactly what the first Lords of the Sith were (not counting the now extinct species.)
