Hey! As a noob I really appreciate that you went step by step while explaining everything. I struggle a lot with gear stats so this was very nice to see piece by piece. tldr would be: Can I make this decently viable on an assassin or would it just be the same but worse version? I dropped this gem in the vaal version and tried it and fell in love with how engaging the gameplay is compared to other skill gems which are mostly 1 button spam so Im trying to learn more about this. If you don´t mind answering a few questions. For context I played it with assassin ascendancy (the only one I have tried) and made my own shitty build which had 0 dps and made it to yellow maps in ssfhc then I died. Im not good enough to tackle end-game so it didn´t bother me because I still had tons of fun leveling with it. So the questions I have are these: 1. What makes this skill not scalable in late game? As in, compared to skills that are considered good to scale in late game, what does VG lack for it to be scalable? I did have a hard time increasing its dps but I assume its because im new to the game not because the skill couldn´t go futher. 2. Considering its name, I assumed this skill would go well with poisons but now that im researching, I see nobody really plays this skill with poison. Is the poison version that terrible? 3. This one goes hand-in-hand with 2 since assassin seems to be good at poisons. I understand now that deadeye works very well with it because it has a lot of projectile nodes. I was wondering if it would be playable with assassin ascendancy while adding multiproj support gem? Thanks!
1. The skill can scale into Ubers and 100% deli content,. VG has built in phys to chaos conversion, so the strongest endgame hit-based scaling of Phys-to-Cold is not available to it. Theerefore, more advanced means of crafting/knowledge, such as Str/Dex stacking, is needed to scale the build. Doing so will cost alot, when compared to other skills like DD and Tornado shot, the cost to return isnt as great. 2. So poison scales in two ways. The amount of poison stacks and the damage per poison stack.. VG has great clear and application for poison but lacks greatly in ways to scale poison stacks and dmg per stack. Hence why its not played, as clear can be fixed through explosions or poison proliferation, while damage is much harder to fix. 3 .POE such a deep game, technically any skill can be played on any ascendancy. I wouldnt league start/ play assassin. The ascendancy is currently very weak and struggles for a variety of builds (hence its low playrate).
Res is extremely easy to get, as all our gear is rare and the recommended uniques also have resistances. I'd still recommend killing all bandits, but maybe in the early game, you can help Oak for the +40 life
Never played venomgyre ALWAYS wanted to try it but last mintue il dip into another build before league start lmao... , i might just have to go with it this time and it can lateron transition into str stacking or dex stacking variants of all kinds if i dont like it so im fine :D , looks like a solid starter for sure ^^ and a huge table of content to farm
I need to know if my claw is good. Its a imperial claw 30% quality with all t1 stats. Cold, lightning, elemental attack with skills, attack speed, critical chance, crit multi. I was told the elemental attack with skills isnt very good but wouldnt that be better if i plan on scaling mainly cold and lightning for the freeze/chill and extra damage with lightning? Is there anything i can do to make this claw better or should o make one with fire damage and all t1 mods like my other claw?
The berserker variant is a strength stacking variant which scales flat chaos damage through strength stacking. The build is alot stronger than the tri-elemental version, but will cost well over 50 divines. It isnt a league starter but more of a second build. You can simulate the sniper's mark nerf by dropping sniper's mark level down to 14 from 20. Its about a 6% damage nerf.
@@Emigmatic ah yup was just curious because u don't see Deadeye vemon gyre around at all on yt this was the first video I saw. Good video though I enjoyed it :) I'm surprised the dps loss from sniper mark is so little that's a good sign
Dread banner gives our character impale chance which is useless, so we dont need the self. Instead dreadbanner reduces the accuracy of enemies around us, and generosity amplifies this by sacrificing the impale chance (which we didnt need).
Specifically, the loss of +2 Projectiles on split just hurts clear a little bit. It wont be noticeable at all, the mark effect nerf will be felt a bit more early on
@@Emigmaticbut you will generate way less projectiles on bosses tho especially in invitations or phased boss fights where vaal vg is not always up ... with focal point before you had 6 splits and now you only get 3.
@@fistefix This is even worse than you think. The number of projectiles from sniper's mark scaled with mark effect, which can reach more than 100% effect on the dead eye, around 8 to 9 extra proj. So you lose effectively 6 projectiles per swing
Early game, before mana reservation mastery, we will run herald of ice. Anger is significantly more damage than herald of ice as its a 50% aura. You can replace anger for wrath if u wish

What do you think about the bandit changes, specifically, +15 all res instead of killing all bandits.

For weapon comparisons, Its best to load your character in POB, and alternate between the two weapons. POB should tell u the damage diff

are you gonna run a specific lootfilter is neversink just fine?
I make my own filters, but I think neversink's general filter will work just fine

Why do you link Generosity to Dread Banner does this not make it useless?

it will be okay, but not great as a build that can preload damage like traps/mines

U can alternatively run Spectral throw - Volley - Added cold - trinity (GGGB)

Whatever you want mostly for content. I like to use burning ground (minor) for farming red altars, and phys damage reductions per near enemy (major).

I wont recommend this as VG synergises too well with Deadeye, Run at your own risk
