Thousands of emperor penguins killed in the Antarctic - BBC News

  • Reduction in sea ice in Antarctica has resulted in the deaths of an estimated 10,000 emperor penguin chicks.
In 2022, satellites recorded a colony of emperor penguins disappearing into the Bellingshausen Sea as the ice they were living on melted away.
The chicks had not fully developed waterproof feathers and they most likely froze to death.
Emperors rely on sea-ice to breed and as the world warms due to climate change - they are increasingly vulnerable.

the chinese are sending huge cruise liner sized ships to Antartica to get krill. They stalk the animals that eat krill scooping up tons and boiling them on board then releasing the boiling toxic sludge into the pristine antarctic waters. The Bob Brown Foundation's Alistair Allen has bravely filmed this and its on their website. It was the most shocking thing I've seen to date.

Made me think too.......climate change is not the cause. The climate crisis does not exist - it is an extremely dubious theory, based on a relatively small sample of reports , research and documentary evidence. An equal or even greater amount of evidence has been published, which tells a different story.

Years ago a big ice sheet broke off the size of Haiti. And floated into a area where penguins were. And when it hit the other ice sheet where the penguins were. It with the force of the weight crumbling the ice. Creating deep crevice were penguins had fallen in not able to get out. And made such big ice sheets piling up. That most of the penguins in that area that did survive. Died by not being able to climb up the big piled ice sheet to get to the water to get food and slowly starved to death. I think that happened around 20 years ago or so already. This planet cannot rebuild itself with it's natural resources as fast as humans are using those resources all up. And the planet and all life besides just humans are suffering for it. The news shows after a disaster a few hundred or even a few thousand people either died or lost their homes. But never shows anything about the millions of animals that suffered and died as if it's no big deal. It's only a animal. Same people who think like this, cry like a child and are hurt when their animal pet died. But care nothing of the other animals who had suffered and died. I myself and some others care about all the animals.

@@JohnofthefamilySmithIt shows both. It shows how much climate change effects the planet, and how gullible people are to believe non-experts who are making a lot of money out of the 'climate change hoax' grift.
It's easier to fool people raised on blind faith, who are taught from an early age to deny science that doesn't match religious beliefs, which is why conspiracy theories flourish more in the U.S.A than other developed countries. Also, in the U.S.A. there is a deep distrust of government after Nixon, Hoover's F.B.I. abuses of privacy and power, etc.
The best way to avoid propaganda is to understand the science, and see/ experience the evidence for yourself. Also, to comprehend that almost all scientists on the planet who have dedicated, and continue to dedicate, their lives to direct and indirect study of the planet's temperature, reached a consensus with concurring results at least 50 years ago. All evidence since then has continued to pile on, from multiple fields of science. Unfortunately, there is big money in oil. If there wasn't, we wouldn't be in this situation.
Now, other than the oil companies, social media 'human caused climate change deniers' are raking in millions from people who want their fears and paranoias of governmental control to be validated. And for people to feel special that they have 'truths', that billions of scientists, past and present, and the population who listen to experts, haven't figured out.
It is human nature to be suckered into beliefs that feel true, and we want to believe them. But completely gullible people don't check out the background of who is providing the information, or listen to experts who contradict their beliefs, or learn the science at all,.
Obviously, the best way to avoid propaganda is to check the original studies for yourself, with a clear understanding of the terms of reference, and The Scientific Method.
People using logic and critical thinking, rather than 'feels', will know that you can't legitimately claim something is false without knowing exactly what you are arguing against, or without providing evidence that contradicts the overwhelming evidence of a scientific theory/ proof, e.g. that human caused climate change is no longer in dispute, it is scientific fact. There is not the evidence to dispute it.

The analysis, which surprised even its own authors, found a dramatic shift toward SUVs. In 2010, one in five vehicles sold was an SUV; today it’s two in five. “As a result, there are now over 200 million SUVs around the world, up from about 35 million in 2010,” the agency reports.

Where are the photos of the dead chicks?? I'd be inclined to think that this is a natural phenomenon having to do with El Niña. But, still, where are the photos of these dead chicks lying all over the ground? Something doesn't add up here. Just saying.

Love the leading questions, you turned the propaganda up a bit too far on this one, made it too obvious.

10,000 years: humans and animals and plants doin' their thing.
Last 200 years: industrialization -> mass energy consumption -> carbon emissions -> global warming -> new wave of extinctions.
It doesn't take long, and it's speeding up. 😢

Sadly for the penguins . However there is this number and more of real human beings dying of hunger. While as an exemplo farmers in Canada 🇨🇦 have to throw away their production because of carbone limit or the the green laws. Perhaps if you feed the poor, cloth the widow and the orphan God have mercy on this planet.

Solution is to have fewer humans.
