Very well said JD
The Catholic Church is an international organization. I don’t see why they can’t help these people in their own countries.
I definitely think America is not a Christian Country .
I finally agree with you on something. 👏
The Catholic Bishops in the countries that these folks repatriate to are under a heavy moral obligation to address their needs.
We have a duty to provide food and shelter. That can be done while they remain in Mexico.
What about protection, though? Many can get both of those but certain places in Mexico or other countries are very dangerous. And will we actually give our tax dollars to such an effort? Given the way many Americans respond to giving aid to war-torn countries, I am not so sure that will happen.
@@IsaiahINRI 😂 you can be a hero. but you wont be able to save the world.. don't be fool
@@radomshits We cannot save everyone but it is our duty to help those we can.

Facts 🔥🔥
It’s the word illegal
Everyone should be legal
We need to keep this country safe for our children
I don’t know how this even happen. Does anyone else remember that show 90 Day fiancé I mean it’s still on TV do you see the process those people had to go through just to be here?
It’s about safety
We need to keep our children safe
We also need to remember that charity starts at home
We have homeless families and homeless people out on our streets as it is
We need to get back to taking care of our own people before we go and subsidize our resources out to other countries
God bless America. God bless our children.
Let’s never get so off the rails that we forget about our little ones

Well said.
There's no shortage of catholics in latin america
JD they have already chimed in. Our Parish have already received a letter from our Bishop.
@@billleland957 what did it say to summarize?
@@billleland957 I am now going to write to my bishop and cardinals about the blatant rejection of the catechism on immigration and why we need to prepare for the future persecutions that are going to come from standing up for the Truth and Jesus’s Catholic Church he founded to be a visible sign in the world separate from the world and its kings here like Vance.
Well balanced..
So OP, it is a moral issue. Yes humanely deporting immigrants is one thing but DHS is saying that deportations can happen in churches and that is why the bishops stepped in. Source: “Statement from a DHS Spokesperson on Directives Expanding Law Enforcement and Ending the Abuse of Humanitarian Parole”
Yes and if they want Bishops to stay out of politics then keep politics out of our churches.
ALMIGHTY GOD is Eternal and from eternity He Knew there would be corruption. Does anyone really think the devil hasn't tried to subvert The Churches leadership??
Yes!
It’s hard to give a credible moral stance on a thing when you are taking billions of dollars in taxpayer money for that very thing.
Ok Bishops.
Do what Jesus Did
-" Lo del Cesar al Cesar Lo de Dios de Dios"-
It has to do with money they are getting 2.9 billion and it started with the Obama administration. It’s all about money.
Do you have any proof for accusing The Church's servants of mortal sin?
Episcopalians tithe to the Episcopal Church, which is a 10% donation to the church's ministry. The tithe is a biblical practice that is considered a minimum standard of giving for Episcopalians.😮 Where is all that money with the pastor 😂 evil does not attack those ⛪ ⛪ ⛪ ⛪

HOW ABOUT HIGH WALLS AROUND THE VATICAN?
Strange that JD sounds more political than religious. His concern is more about legality than humanity. But he fails to point out that there is someone sitting in the White House who has more legal issues than most of the immigrants😂😂😂
2241 CCC- The more prosperous nations are obliged, to the extent they are able, to welcome the foreigner in search of the security and the means of livelihood which he cannot find in his country of origin. Public authorities should see to it that the natural right is respected that places a guest under the protection of those who receive him.
Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens.
Yet Vance rejects and denies the catechism you have shown here to make himself his own “Catholic” moral authority tying hard not to get caught but his hesitation clearly shows his hypocrisy and discipleship of Trump more than Jesus and his Catholic Church. Criticizing is ok as long as you are politicizing the faith as Jesus condemns the 12 apostles for doing before his death with the episode of Peter.
Justyouraverageguy, read the second paragraph of ccc 2241 very carefully. Countries have a right to create immigration laws, and immigrants are obliged to obey those laws. Extradition is a fair consequence for entering a country illegally.
@@Foushee217Read the first as Trump, Vance, and all Trump’s disciples reject and deny against the infallible teachings and authority of the Catholic Church. Welcoming the foreigner goes back to the Torah as well as deporting them for security reasons. It’s nothing new except Trump’s perversion and politicization of the Truth. Be Independent like I am and actually think for yourself instead of not questioning both sides.
@@DominusTecum316 Vance rejects the first for the second and is therefore a heretic and dangerous false prophet
Read it again. We'd not have to tolerate violent criminals.
Agreed.
I don't think the Catholic Church or Bishop's will have any influence one we are Sharia compliant.
On a bit of a side point - Vice President Vance refers to himself as a devout Catholic.
He opened this can of worms, I didn’t. But what is his position on abortion and IVF?? Last, I heard his position was not as devout as devout Catholics should be. 🤔
@swoosh1mil
Unless you have proof to thr contrary, my understanding is that his "position" on these issues are purely political and not religious.
In other words, he's a part of the executive branch of government (not the judiciary or legislative). So he has no say in the laws that are passed by Congress or opined about by the Courts.
He's simply saying that he's staying in his lane as the Vice President.
@ If he is going to say that he is a devout Catholic; then in anyway, be supportive of Abortion and IVF then, all Catholics need to have issue with that.
When I saw former President Biden and Harris push hard for Abortion, I said “No way!” I changed my position to block Harris. I am very angered with former President Biden for his betrayal of Christian/Catholic teaching.
But now Pres. Trump and VP Vance are not taking a strong enough position on abortion and IVF, as a Christian and Catholic, I need to call VP Vance out - He is not as a devout Catholic as he is making himself out to be. He cannot personally be against abortion and IVF but politically speaking be for those things; that’s hypocrisy.
@@anthonyburke2353 VP Vance doesn’t hide his position. He is for a position that is not Catholic regarding these issues.
To say it is only a politic position is weak. Catholics have to pushback on his position and call him out for considering himself a ‘Devout Catholic’.
Exactly. Vance is a disciple of Trump and doesn’t want to publicly admit it over being a true Catholic who stays true to the doctrines of the Catholic Church no matter what political party holds otherwise. Jesus condemns politicizing his teaching as he did to Peter and the 12 apostles.
@@anthonyburke2353 My replies are being taken down.
One cannot claim being a devout catholic and maintain the positions he does on these issues.
Should we not instead ask the question of whether these illegal immigrants are being deported humanely and compassionately before we question the motives of our bishops? I don't disagree that countries have this right, as the Church says they do, but if so many members of our clergy are raising the same concerns then should we not examine both ourselves and those they speak out against? Because if we insist upon our own politics over heeding the warnings of our clergy(which I don't believe is your intention nor necessarily what is happening, but I know many other American Catholics do) then are we not doing the exact thing we accuse them of?
We don't have an obligation to follow the political positions of our clergy, but we do have an obligation to seriously consider their advice. And even moreso if the majority of our clergy hold a position(I am unsure if they do, but I have seen many bishops or higher express concerns over President Trump's immigration policy and I can't remember any that agree with it).
I'm not taking one side or the other on this issue, I'm just saying we ought to be careful what we say and believe about our clergy. We must always interpret everyone's words and actions with charity, especially those of our clergy.
I enjoy your videos, Joseph, keep them up.
I'm open to being corrected. My understanding is that the USCCB does not object to the MANNER in which deportations are conducted but to the very ACT of deportation I.e. it APPEARS they are infringing on the nation's legitimate authority to regulate immigration.
@alisterrebelo9013 I couldn't find anything from them saying deportation is inherently sinful, but I did find on their website that they affirm the Church's teaching on a State's right to regulate immigration. It's "Catholic Social Teaching on Immigration and the Movement of Peoples."
I would say that unless we can find them actually saying the contrary then we should assume this is their actual stance.
I think there are some who seem to hold to one principle and have a blind eye to circumstances so that they have a one size fits all. Unfortunately you have to take in all situations to fairly judge. Illegal immigration is fundamentally wrong by its law breaking and injustice to those who work with the laws and enter legally. You also have to consider the evils that accompany that illegality like drug and human trafficking.
What would Jesus do
The Bible says we have to obey the civil authorities and the law is that you cannot enter the country illegally and if you do you are subject to deportation to wherever you came from. Jesus would not be against this in principle.
Smart words. Bishops should stay the heck out of politics.
So should the "Christian" nationalists that promoted Trump then.
I would argue yes and no. Bishops can and should comment on the political if it's a moral issue, but not be involved in the legislative process itself. For example Bishops definitely have a right, even obligation, to speak out on public immorality, such as abortion, contraception, divorce or same-sex marriage, etc.
That’s what Jesus taught his disciples and be for Him and his Teachings instead of politicizing Him and his teachings as he condemns Peter and the 12 for before he died explaining His purpose to them.
What about on Abortion? If sin is being committed(and I'm not speaking for this particular instance but in a broad sense) then it is a bishop's obligation to speak out against it. As someone said above, they should not hold public office but they, as well as all of us, must not turn a blind eye to sin because it is a political matter. And we must not separate our faith from our politics lest we commit sin ourselves.
@@IsaiahINRI Jesus taught us to be his hands and feet in the world. We are in the world but not of the world and must not become part of the world lest we reject Him and our salvation. That being said, to truly follow your faith it means being mature and saying that Trump and his disciples don’t care about the common good of society by destroying the CDC, FDA, and pulling us from WHO as the Democrats are correct about. But on other hand, Trump and his disciples are correct about DEI, gender ideologies and the LGBTQ agenda being evil on the left. Remember, Jesus died for speaking the Truth and not going along to be this great politician and king bending the Truth to his own selfish and earthly agenda like the Scribes and Pharisees have done and are condemned by God Himself for doing.
