I know this idea for transferring has been around awhile, and I’ve watched quite a few videos like this as I’ll be needing a few labels. You’re the ONLY one who’s using a iron pan instead of an ironing board. Ingenious!!! I tried an iron-on transfer label previously and the the ‘sponginess’ of the ironing board surface made the ink transfer smear around a bit instead of looking crisp. THANK YOU! I will be using a flat bottom skillet or a stove top griddle.
Thanks so much for this tutorial! I did this method yesterday and it worked! I've done the "iron fabric on freezer paper and print on it" method and all I have to show for it is a jammed printer! Your method worked perfectly!
Thank you, I was going to purchase labels to brand my product for wholesale but they will not get here for weeks and I needed ones right away to fill my order. This helped a lot!
I am so happy whenever I found tutorial which is clear, simple, straight to the point. Really enjoyed your tutorial. Thank you very much for sharing. Ting! Yay...One more subscriber
100K thumbs up! I found this video helpful, especially the custom printing tip at the end. Your tip will save me hours of figuring out paper orientation in the future. I have a tip on regular office paper orientation. On the top left-hand corner, draw an arrow pointing up. Place in print tray with the arrow showing. Print a test page. When done, the arrow will indicate the direction to put the pages you want to print should be placed.
Easy Sewing for Beginners, thank you so very much for posting this tutorial on making fabric labels at home. I have been in the process of looking into ordering labels from an online source. I am certainly going to attempt this process first and save money and finish my product with a signature label. I wish your continued success!
You all prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a way to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost my login password. I love any help you can offer me!
@Lukas Korbyn I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank you so much for this. I plan on making invitations for my sons first birthday on satin ribbon as the tongue of a dragon head cardstock invite. This is the best video I have found thanks 💚
Thanks! I've found this to be a very easy way to make labels that don't fray or fade after washing. So great for adding labels to hand sewn goodies, especially if you're starting a little hand sewn business. Thanks for watching 😀
Hi, I had been searching UA-cam for something to watch. I came across your channel. It caught my attention as I have been wanting to make my own labels. I heard your intro and had to start it over as I was not sure what I thought I heard you say - your name! What a fantastic name!! 😊
I enjoyed viewing this video and the information was so valuable to me and I hope others enjoyed it as well. That is a great tip on making labels and I will use it with my HP printer.
wish you would have done details on how to set up the labels in word program - otherwise very nice video thanks! where did you get the cotton twill tape?
I loved it I don't have little children anymore but I loved it I thought it was very clever I used to have to have labels made and so is very expensive
Hi, do you have a description or link for the tape please as I can’t find anything other than the herringbone tape etc. this tape looks clean and smooth. Thanks
Thanks for the tutorial. Can you tell me the brand of transfer paper you use. When I clicked on either of the links they brought up different brands. So not sure which brand you are using. Thanks Again
I know you used Cotton Tape-but do you think it would be possible to iron it on to muslin fabric as well? Looking to do as much recycling as I can do with my muslin scraps. Thanks.
Hi thanks you for sharing this video video of making fabric labels at home. My Question is Can I use Cutrite Paper or Plastic Wrap as a substitute for Freezer Paper/Heat Transfer Paper just asking & would it work the same way as shown in the video also asking. I look forward to your reply a.s.a.p. Tafs
It these labels are to be washed the heat transfer will eventually start coming off. This is what I found from my testing over time. Best to do your own tests to see how durable they will be 😊
I'm glad I found this video, however, how do you get the image transferred to the actual piece of fabric label? I'm new to all of this in general, so I'm sure I'm asking a silly and obvious question... I've been looking online for a company that makes labels but I'm having a hard time understanding the ordering forms and nobody to help me to decipher them 😕 so I thought I would Google DIY and here you are 😊 but now I just need to know how to finish all the steps?

Thank you - this was such a good tutorial. Others seem to only cover how to cut pre-made labels, which is not what I want to do. Thanks again.
I have viewed your video previously, however, I have saved it for a refresher. It works like a treat. Thank you again for sharing. Excellent.
Good tutorial, easy to follow. Particularly like the last tip of taping the transfer to paper for one off labels. Thanks

Hi, do you have a description or link for the tape please as I can’t find anything other than the herringbone tape etc. this tape looks clean and smooth. Thanks
Thank you for sharing. Can i ask if an ironing board will be as effective as the pan you're using?
Enjoy watching this technique for making fabric labels, just a question, where do you buy your cotton tape from thx.

Thanks.
You could definitely test it. I couldn’t see why not 😊
This is great I tried it and looks really good, the problem is that the info on the label completely disappears after washing. Any suggestions?
that's what im wondering
Thanks for your video. Will this work with a laser printer?
You would need to buy the heat transfer paper made especially for laser printers.
Fantastic, thanks for sharing. Really great idea.
This saved me a lot of money thank you so much 😊🙏
When making a custom label do you place the transfer paper so the printing is sandwiched between the transfer paper and printer paper?
This video is awesome. Would you mind if I ask you what kind of ribbon you used in this video?
That was great and very easy. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing. What about washing? Will it remain?
Have u tried p touch embellish for tags for fabric made items? If so, video please.
Is the cotton tape you're using smooth? Or is it the kind of twill tape with ridges/herringbone texture?
This is such an amazing video! Great ideas and well explained. Thank you so much!
Hello, this is such a helpful video. Thank you. Do you use a regular inkjet printer or a sublimation ink printer?

Hi thanks you for sharing this video video of making fabric labels at home. My Question is Can I use Cutrite Paper or Plastic Wrap as a substitute for Freezer Paper/Heat Transfer Paper just asking & would it work the same way as shown in the video also asking. I look forward to your reply a.s.a.p. Tafs
would you please recommend certain brand of heat transfer paper that work better than another? thanks
This looks great!! Csn I put these in the washing machine? How can I be sure it won't ruin the ink?
It these labels are to be washed the heat transfer will eventually start coming off. This is what I found from my testing over time. Best to do your own tests to see how durable they will be 😊
Thank you, where can I get the materials
i would do a whole page of the tape or fabric and then do it that way its super quick.
I'm glad I found this video, however, how do you get the image transferred to the actual piece of fabric label? I'm new to all of this in general, so I'm sure I'm asking a silly and obvious question... Really appreciate your video, so useful. Do you think your method is better than using a ribbon printer if i want the label graphic to last
You are the best. Thanks for making it easy for me. ❤
Hey! Waxed paper in your tutorial is that because you have a glossy transfer paper? If not, can I use baking paper? 🤗😘
Oh my gosh, thank you! I've been custom labels online but this would be quicker & cheaper!
