@@petrvlasic1198 It's the other way around, isn't it? Buckethead only wrote ONE new track for SIGIL specifically, the rest are just pulled from whatever he has made way before that. The MIDI soundtrack, however, was written from scratch, specifically for each map. And that's why it fits better. Another reason why I can't play with Buckethead's music is because it doesn't have a consistent rhythm, which messes up my pace. So yeah, I think MIDI ost is better in every way. BH is a great dude, sure, but I think Romero just wanted to use a popular name to gain more attention. Jimmy, however, is a true god of Doom music!
This just proves that good song composition trumps the medium in which the song is made. MIDI, electric guitar, floppotron, if it's a good song it'll sound good. And you proved that splendidly. That said, I'd love to see "You Ain't the Boss 'o Me" or "Riot Squadron" in this style, though that might be asking a lot. lol
The problem when I play Sigil is that I can't decide what Soundtrack to play. I usually end up playing with the Midi tracks but I find myself listening to Bucketheads tracks in my car.
I would love to see a full OST cover. This was so well done, and the closest one to the original I've heard. I think you'd be awesome doing a full metal cover.
Hmm, not sure about a full OST cover.. but been thinking about turning the E5M4 into a same kind of version. As the MIDI song for that level is a total banger as well.
Hey there, awesome cover, have you thought about covering all of sigil's midi soundtrack in this style? it would be cool to have it ingame, i personally like Jimmy's songs better than buckethead's, but i don't like the actual midi sounds, full remake with real instruments like this would be perfection!
Well, not meant for speedrunners lol Buckethead is a great guitarist and artist. Awesome to see him brought into the Doom-family and him giving something unique to it in a form of a soundtrack. But still, what Jimmy did in a form of MIDI, which was what we were listening in the first place when playing Doom 1 and 2, it's just mind-blowing. IMO fits the game better. (and because I'm a hardcore-fan of traditions, Doom is meant to be played with MIDI, also leading into listening it a lot and gaining interest in doing a "metal"-remake, just what Hulshult, Nemistade, elguitarTom or others have done with Doom 1 and 2) Both are great in their own way.
drive.google.com/open?id=1tX0uQWnjN0RTYyK8hz3tDLBiogqgQ6Pk Probably not 100% accurate, especially the solos. Used Drop D-tuning but you can also play it in standard maybe.
Subscribed !!! I was checking out my own playthrough series for Sigil ( ua-cam.com/video/awzH0CZJGHY/v-deo.html ), and I really prefer James Paddock's midi over Buckethead
Honestly I think the midi soundtrack for sigil is better than the buckethead one, as I was never a fan of his work, too show off flashy. Not like old school metal, where they would just play the song and have fun. Anyway just my opinion.
This absolutely rocks, dude. \m/
Awesome that you like it!
🤘
I guess that MIDI soundtrack in SIGIL supposed to be just filler, complementary to Buckethead. On way way to know it isn't: Cover that rocks!

You can never go wrong with Jimmy MIDIs

Nice! tremendous version of a fantastic song
Si el MIDI ya es muy bueno de por sí, así es directamente un deleite auditivo.
I feel sorry for Buckethead having to go head to head with Jimmy Paddock. No competition!
Because BucketHead didn't created music just for sigil

If I just had the tools, missing a bigger audio interface, otherwise would have done it as well :|

Might be in the making, who knows... 🤔
Awesome cover! Would you consider doing sigil’s intermission track? (I know it might sound weird, but I think it would be a banger for a metal cover)
It's coming at some point. Plan is to make a full wad.
ALL HAIL PLANKTON!

could you release tablature for this or the tuning?
