    "Peace" was written many years before "Best of Times" and Yngwie's "Angel" which also sounds a lot like "Peace."

    Batio's album "No Boundaries" and the song "Peace" came out in 1995 . Yngwie Malmsteen's "like an angel" came out in 2009 ..You do the math..lol ..who sounds like who..lol . But I love both the guitarists , they both are just awesome :-) ..Thumbs up for their music :-)

    its funny, unfortunately ironic, how people say MAB is technique and no soul. This right here is proof of soul, and technique together. MAB is an inspiration! i love his music!

    a lot of people said that shredding on guitar has no feeling...
    but me for it is not true..
    because when you shred you already created a feeling..

    There can be a lot of topics people can argue about. I only wonder why they choose this kind of blogs to do that??!! Don't forget, guys, there is FIGURATIVE MEANING! If many people call a musician a god, that's not exactly because he is a god. That's just because his performance is so PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL, that listening to it fills our souls with peace and joy! I believe in god, but I also believe in TALENT that only god can provide! If you disagree it's divine, I dare you to play like that!!!

    @leopower7 well, i meant he is not constantly playing fast, and in my opinion a guitarist is the one that can play music, but a good musician is the one that apart from being able to play it is also capable of feeling it. anyway, that's my two cents

    @PatrickStarGuitar No this is definitely Michael Angelo playing. Not only because the video says so, but you can tell from the guitar playing and the tone of the guitar that it is not Malmsteen. I just meant the beginning sounds like Malmsteen's song.

    @sbowman128675 i actually think this song sounds a little bit like JP. i love JP too but JP even said MAB was one of his influences... he said "i got a michael angelo dvd" and MABs vids r on how to play fast... so MAB taught JP how to do what he does... better thank him :P

    @leopower7 i'm not saying that I don't feel the feeling it, i'm saying that the song has no feeling at all, it is cold and as touching as a hammer

    You guys forget that adrenaline, fear and hate are also emontions. 'Shredders are emotionless' is the dumbest and worst excuse from an envious. Emontion also depends from people. Emontion for me may not be the same for you.

    people who say that are not shredding, there just being sloppy and lazy and calling it shredding. My first moment when i hit my first sweep i felt it inside more than hearing it. if that makes sense

  • @kakkashin

    He must have spent several years just playing guitar judging from his technique. It's untouchable. I could say without a doubt that there's nobody that can come close to this man's level of skill. In the metal genre that is. Another insane guitarist, just in a different style altogether is Guthrie Govan. Both of these men are probably the best in their genres. Of course I am only talking about technique because the rest is purely subjective.

  • @westjt17

    Don't know what year he wrote this, but it has parts that sound exactly like yngwie's - "like an angel"

  • @guitarheretic
    @guitarheretic 13 років тому

    @devor3 Well I can understand Pantera's Hollow, but this is completely different kind of animal. :) Of course Batio's technique is beyond questioning, but his songs are to me more like hilarious than something I would really get emotionally involved.

    If not for that dreaded ALS, Jason Becker would have been the best rock guitarist ever in my humble opinion. He may have arguably become the greatest overall player ever to boot. Sadly, we'll never know. Have a great day everyone.

    like an angel was released 2 years after in 1997 but still afterwards, only for arguements sake is who wrote it first? I know some artists have a piece written for years before they have it released. Music has been copied since the 'greats' anyways so ultimately it doesn't really matter.

  • @karluzz
    @karluzz 12 років тому

    «There are rumours that M.A.C.E. Music already has a musical attorney analyzing supposed plagiarism of MAB song entitled "Peace". Those songs are "Yngwie Malmsteen - Like an Angel" and "Dream Theater - The Best of Times". Dream Theater already has an history of being accused of this. Even Portnoy makes this controversy clearer when he accused his former band of blatantly copying songs. An odd fact is that the very song that he dedicated to his dying father seems to be taken from MAB's song.»

  • @Backfireoftheworld
    @Backfireoftheworld 11 років тому

    shredding is important to me but its more than just a speed bit. We should demand talent be respected and understand that the music industry should be constantly bettering itself every guitarist that sticks it out and doesn't give up playing does it because they never want to stop bettering themselves.

  • @guitarheretic
    @guitarheretic 13 років тому

    @devor3 Well maybe hilarious was a bit wrong word. What I mean is that the song starts great and has "feeling" but then there comes these random shreds like in 2:44 which sounds to me completely out of place. Well naturally we are talking MAB here, so it is expected, but everytime I hear something like that I think like "Why in hell? We had a solid piece of music here until now, why did you do that?".

  • @elabueloharagan

    @guitarheretic It's a part of music dude! It's called nuance! It's like the ending of Panter'as Hollow! Otherwise it would be too much of the same

  • @devor3
    @devor3 13 років тому

    @guitarheretic Well I guess in that case you're not really a virtuoso fan! You can go for something less shredding like: Jeff Beck, Slash, Kirk Hammett that kind of thing (I lo ve that too). Or bands like coldplay, U2, etc. you know music more suited to your tastes which i can tell, you like more straight forward stuff. MAB has always had this weird "out of place" stuff. He's more into progressive that explains why the sudden twists, etc. Well, that's my opinion...

    @guitarheretic 13 років тому

    @devor3 Well, it's kinda baffling how easily people make up their mind about others based on very limited information, because I do like Dream Theater, Spastik Ink, Allan Holdsworth etc. which many would categorize as "virtuoso", "progressive" or sometimes even "out of place" kind of stuff. :) But whatever, it's all about matter of taste - we can agree to disagree. :)

    malmsteen?too extreme,but MAB maybe for me got both of it.

    Curiosamente los fans de angelo dejan de encontrarlo tabn bueno cuando crecen y desarrollan el oído, el más rápido?' puede ser, pero esto es música no el far west.
    prefiero mil veces a Govan que es igual de rápido pero hace música de verdad.
    No me sorprende que un fans de petrucci (otro guitarrista que al menos compone bien pero sin nada de feeling) lo defienda tanto, mejor tomen la guitarra y estudien pobres pájaros
