I encourage you to do it!
You need a shroud for that air intake. Your car is breathing in 200 degree air, but with a plastic shroud and a duct to the front grill, a short ram intake is useless. If you look at time attack cars, most of them have a stock style airbox so the engine isnt breathing in hot air from the block and headers. Gotta be smart about it
How has this drivetrain held up to the abuse?

I also have a 2016 highlander, its nice to see that somebody has figured out a way to show these vehicles some love! I have searched and searched for parts. Its like freakin mission impossible! I also installed the bilstein b6 shocks and struts but I got some custom springs made and they are way too stiff, Its nice to not have to brake for some curves because the truck doesn't have any near as much body roll as it did stock however I feel every ripple in the road now🙄. Im enjoying the channel dude thanks for posting!!!

have you installed a one way check valve on the vacuum line between the evap solenoid and intake manifold? I saw the vellfire install video where the mechanic installed a check valve ua-cam.com/video/sNl1FBrxCDM/v-deo.html it should be at around the 52:10 mark
That's a good observation actually. No, I haven't. I'm not sure one was included with the kit, but I will check.

If the gas cap is sealing properly then the next thing I would look at is the charcoal canister and any connecting vac lines for cracks.
I'd also test the solenoid valve and make sure it is operating properly. There isn't much to that system so should be easy to narrow down. You could try to smoke or pressure test and listen for leaks as well.
I want to install one of these in my '09 sienna so bad! I joined that facebook group you told me about. I gotta figure out the hydraulic power steering solution and convince myself that I should drop 3k on a supercharger lol!
In regard to your issue with the purge code- I wonder if this is happening because the purge solenoid is seeing boost/positive pressure when you rev the engine up high. The purge system isn't designed to see positive manifold pressure. Please share what you learn about this. This is another area of concern with putting this kit on my sienna- I have to do it without setting check engine light so I can still pass smog inspection. I think installing the one-way check valve in the evap solenoid vacuum line may fix this. Make sure you put the valve facing the proper direction.
I encourage you to do it lol. I would contact HKS before getting the kit, and they should be able to help you out. As for the purge code, I believe you're right- HKS shows the installation of a check valve on their video, but I don't believe one was included with the kit.

Okay, I found the longer belt for you. According to the guy who needed a belt for his Avalon with a hydraulic steering pump, the belt is 119.5", and the part # is Goodyear 1071195.

Hello. This has the 6 speed auto transmission. The supercharger will fit either way though.

Hello. Parts wise, no, but you'll likely have to install the intercooler in the front grill or make a hood scoop/ hood cowl.

Hello. This supercharger kit will not fit with a 2GR-FKS, which the 2022 Highlander has.
I just looked up your 2016 and my 2022 hp and torque..looks like mine has 295hp and 263lbs torque vrs your 270hp n 248lbs of torque..is the difference just the direct injection? Do you think I'd see any gains with this kit if I can still find it. ? And I was always taught 12.5 afr is max hp? Or do you just want more for safety?
There will be gains for sure with this kit, but it will not fit your 2022 with the 2GR-FKS engine unfortunately. This was designed for the 2GR-FE engine that 2008-2016 Highlanders had.

Man that's nice! My son drives my wife's old 2008 Highlander Sport 4WD and he's always saying "let's put a supercharger on it". I'm always like "LOL". That looks like a hoot to drive! I do have one question - at 1:00 it looks like you're missing the right bushing on the rear diff mount. Ours are shot AF and I've been thinking it's time (240K miles!) to press out the old ones and press in new ones. Did you lose one?? I'm so curious. There must be a tremendous amount of play in the rear diff.
It is so fun with the supercharger! Good catch on the bushing, and I'm not sure if it's missing- will go check tomorrow.

People have installed this in Camrys, so yes it will fit. You might have to install a hood scoop or raise the hood though.

Did you have any problems with the throttle body mod? my camry is loosing power when I try to accelerate quickly and gear shifting is off on top of high idle rpm.
I didn't have any issues. It might take some time for the ECU to relearn I think.

I have a Toyota Blade Master which has the 2GR-FE. It already does 5.2 seconds to 60mph NA. I wonder how fast it would be with a super charger :O
One thing I do know.. I 100% need an exhaust on mine. It has a Modellista exhaust which is louder than the standerd one, but still makes the V6 sounds like a 4 cylinder with no load on it.

Thank you! Those Toyota Blade Masters are fun cars. You can very likely shave 1 second off your 0-60mph time, so around 4.2 seconds! Traction might be an issue at that point lol, so I would look into wider/ stickier tires.
I just got 18x8 on my blade and have done BC Racing coilovers and upgraded the front brakes, car feels so much better now

It's something all Highlanders have. Some newer Highlanders have it at 6,800 RPM I believe.

Depends on how you drive really. If you cruise and take it easy, you get pretty much the same mpg as stock.
