In the words of Geordi: "Captain, we've been out in space nearly a year now. We're ready. The Enterprise-E is the most advanced starship in the fleet. We should be on the front line." Liked the line he said. The Enterprise E is the best ship along with the refit Enterprise of the original.
Mine came today and I am very happy with the quality, some windows are out but it's not noticeable at all unless you're looking super super closely at it. The nacelle blue looks a lot more screen accurate on my model - much more turquoisey/aquamarine compared to the dark blue shown in this video, which I am really happy about. The model is much more finely balanced than the D - you can actually hold it by the aft section. As for the ship itself, well my favourite Enterprise is the Constitution refit from the original movies - Enterprise and Enterprise-A, but the E is a warship and a half, the most powerful ship we've seen from the Federation yet, and it should have had much more of an outing. We should have seen Sovereign-class ships in the latter part of the Dominion War and also welcoming Voyager back to Earth. A shame we only saw it in the TNG movies and didn't get a proper sequel series to Voyager.
Next to the Enterprise NX-01 in xl the refit Enterprise and Enterprise A both in xl size those are my most favorite ships. They are pricey but for the size and details in them well worth the price.
Great review, I always thought these were too expensive when compared to the normal specials , plus the dam windows are so far out on the saucer - you just expect better quality control for £50.
Now this is an XL moddel that is more worth it. The regular E felt both a bit small and a bit overcrowded with how much detail there was on that little space. (not that details are ever a bad thing). Though I wish they would have striped the impule plastic a little bit.
Great video as always! Sadly the quality and size for the price make it bad proposition when compared to the Diamond Select Entperprsise E (I have the Nemesis version).
Great review of one of my favorite ships but seeing the close up of the aztecing especially the saucer it is brutal just erratic and not lined up. Shame on the price end.
I have this one and it's very good, but not great. For the price it should have been bigger, but Eaglemoss scaled it to the Enterprise-D XL and and that made the E too small for an XL version. I think it would have been great if it was $15 cheaper. The pre painted kit Bandai made years ago is the best Enterprise-E that you can get and not have to paint or know anything about modeling.
Voyager for me is a more impressive model ,but the E is still a beauty, and is a must if you really want the Hero ships. I can overlook the minor issues on my own model. Thanks again Damian
i picked this up second hand for a pretty good price. Found out I got a deal because some of the windows were very obviously misaligned. Still happy I got it as it was nearly half the price
They are very expensive, but if you wait for a discount period it's affordable. Got the Excelsior XL during the black Friday sale for a very reasonable price. I now regret not picking up this one as well though!
I finally slapped down money for this... but w/o the Magazine... The cheapest I was able to find it was for $109.00. So As much as that stings, I pulled the trigger. I only hope that I do not regret it. This is, hands down my favorite Enterprise. It's a bit of a bummer that the windows are misaligned.. But what other options are there? All in all, it looks like a good model. Great review, sir!
@@roadrunnerj Well, you know.. You only live once. I should have got it right when it was released, but I procrastinated. Had to get it now for fear of missing out. Especially since Eaglemoss is no more. :(
Just wish Eaglemoss would actually make a more screen accurate version of the Enterprise E. The Ships of the Line/Lombardi model used for Star Trek publications (i.e. books and calendars) is so inaccurate and doesn't match up with the ILM studio model, Insurrection CGI or Digital Domain (Nemesis). Thankfully the physical model produced by Diamond Select Toys is far superior, even if the paint scheme is a little off. I really hope we get better versions in the future!
tbh id prefer the century class to be the enterprise f then the odyssey class because it looks like it came from the enterprise lineage after the sovereign class, what do you think irishtrekkie, century class or odyssey class?
It's a shame because they could have improved the quality and mold issues and added more accurate details for the price. Especially since it is the same size as the 1:2500 Enterprise E from AMT/Polar Lights.
Totally Agree! Diamond Select is a great combo of size and quality. Even come with lights and sounds! If only Diamond Select didn't move at a pace slower than glaciers!
Great if you live somewhere with places which still sell them at retail, unless you have a comic book shop or similar nearby often your at the mercy of sellers on Amazon who charge inflated prices.
have to say, the diamond select is much better than the eaglemoss on this one. paint scheme is so light it almost hurts to look at, no bar down the warp plasma conduits...overall not so good.
I was a bit disappointed in this model to be honest. The Enterprise B and C XL both have a really impressive size and this one just seems a bit... small really.

Incorrect the Enterprise E is a cartoonish disaster of a design what has almost no good angles on it.
Love your reviews! I ordered my 1701-E XL today after watching your reviews.

Due to quality control issues, I can't justify the price. When improvements are made, maybe then. This applies to both scales.

No Nono, you know thats a no no
I know it is kind of randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to stream newly released series online?
the first thing that stands out is the beautiful gold application by the shuttle bay on the saucerand by the Sensor array beneath. looks awesome
Now this is an XL moddel that is more worth it.

Beautiful ship, really nice model, shame there is some parts that lack detail that could've been better, round the rim and the rear shuttle bay doors
Great review of one of my favorite ships but seeing the close up of the aztecing especially the saucer it is brutal just erratic and not lined up. Shame on the price end.
It is a pretty looking ahip. Pity about the continuing window alignment issue but I do like the level of detail on it.
That window misalignment is fierce.

A beautiful ship from a fantastic film.
Thank you for sharing the XL version with us.
LLAP 🖖
I really love the look of the XL. I purchased it. My only issue now is, I bought Voyager XL and it’s bigger than the Enterprise.
Thanks for sharing
I like this. It may not be perfect but I feel it captures the spirit of the ship. Got one on the way.
Spot on
Voyager for me is a more impressive model ,but the E is still a beauty, and is a must if you really want the Hero ships. I can overlook the minor issues on my own model. Thanks again Damian

Finaly. I have been wating for this bkdeo for a long time.

Wow $109 ?! Think I paid less than half that
I bought load of the starship collection from a retro shop in derby in 2022 around $15 each
@@roadrunnerj Yeah, it was the cheapest option available on eBay. Still, despite the absurd price, I have no regrets. It really is a great model.
@@SovereignKnight74 yes it's a good model think they ripped you off though which I'm sorry to hear
@@roadrunnerj Well, you know.. You only live once. I should have got it right when it was released, but I procrastinated. Had to get it now for fear of missing out. Especially since Eaglemoss is no more. :(
I'll stick with my diamond select Nemesis E. I am gonna get the XL Enterprise J tho!
don’t get the enterprise I xl it breaks easily and it’s not that big
I can smell that magazine through the screen

Wow I thought you had done a vid on this ages ago
Fantastic review always your vids I come to review eaglemoss 👍
Edit
Get a xl thunderchild perfect
there's a review already
Trust Me I'm A Stomach sweet and I hear the enterprise j xl is coming
That's one of these ships that looks well better from a dorsal view compared to the ventral.
Wut
The Diamond Select version of this costs the same and blows this out of the water. Eaglemoss disappoints yet again.
Totally Agree! Diamond Select is a great combo of size and quality. Even come with lights and sounds! If only Diamond Select didn't move at a pace slower than glaciers!
Absolutely Agree I own all 3 versions of the diamond selects and love them.
Plus Diamond Select has a Nemesis version with the appropriate modifications.
Great if you live somewhere with places which still sell them at retail, unless you have a comic book shop or similar nearby often your at the mercy of sellers on Amazon who charge inflated prices.
@@chriswalton7015 Buy from DS.

Mine came with much more detail painting than yours did..... I think you got a bad one....
Yes, they are pricey, but how badly do you want it?!
You swallow too much in the mic lmao xD
Not bad, but looks like a toy.
