Gates of Delirium, Long Distance Runaround, Hearts, Changes, Final Eyes, The Calling, Sound Chaser, Then, Survival, Fly From Here, Machine Messiah and more! 😊
LIke I said, only 70's YES will do at first but there are SO MANY other great PROG groups that you'll miss out on because the masses just won't recommend what they don't know!
Nothing beats the first time that you experience Yes. One of the most original musical ensembles ever! And this is not adversely affected by the numerous changes in personnel over the decades ❤ None of the founders remain but their music continues
The Intro keyboard was an extended version just for the Live audience... Yeah, I was one of the Chosen blessed to be a teen in the classic 70's era of YESISM and saw them Live from 71-79 where I was reborn literally each time! Hopefully someday you explore other more obscure masters of the genre. Like FOCUS, CATHEDRAL, CAMEL, RENAISSANCE. There was so much Prog out there that no even the average progfan knows about
Well done for tackling this. For many fans, it is above Close to the Edge. Live? Fantastic! Jon Anderson on harp and Chris Squire on 3-necked bass (as you noticed) and thundering bass pedals ❤
Chris Squire used a pick/thumb combo to get his sound. The 3-string bass has one fretless arm too. Chris often steals the show. Stole 😢 Alan White also plays (played 😢) all the bell sounds and more, along with the drums 😊
Not sure what you were watching, but the beginning was more than just keyboards. Jon Anderson was playing a small harp then and in the middle church organ part, along with Alan White on xylophone or similar type instrument
You should do studio versions before the live ones. This one is horrible. Here is a much better live version which is almost exactly like the studio: ua-cam.com/video/nDXccU0xgNo/v-deo.html I recommend "The Gates of Delirium" next BUT DEFINATELY DO THE STUDIO VERSION. It's very hard to replicate that one live.
Thanks for watching! What should the next reaction be?
Gates of Delirium, Long Distance Runaround, Hearts, Changes, Final Eyes, The Calling, Sound Chaser, Then, Survival, Fly From Here, Machine Messiah and more! 😊
Thanks for the list, will check them out

Incantations-Mike Oldfield.
One song over 4 sides ❤🎉😊
@ Those are Yes songs only 🙂
Best band, ever. Period.

One of their best pieces. Rick Wakeman plays out of his mind. So emotional.
Ladies and gentlemen, Chris Squire and YES, the greatest show on earth.

Suite: Judy Blues Eyes by Crosby, Stills, and Nash studio track
It takes several listens to any piece of music that is this complex before I can really begin to appreciate it.
Yes, our sun. A spiritual awakening. One with nature. 🌞🌬🍃🐝🐞🌹🌻🥰
Hi Renee 😊 Our connection with the divine mind and Mother Earth, all in one band ❤
Hi Matt. Great minds. 🙂🥰

Boston - Smokin - Long Time.
If you ever get a chance, listen to the Studio Version, you would appreciate it much more.

I noticed the different sounds but I attributed them to keyboards, didn't know Jon Anderson also played the harp
In ‘77 Jon was playing a full size harp. The tuned percussion Alan was playing were crotales and a glockenspiel.
Best...band...ever. Thanks!!! for the reaction.
Please listen to the studio versions of Yes tracks first, in most cases they are vastly superior, especially the studio version of this.
~And then when you hear the studio track, you wonder how they could ever do it live .
Hate all the inane crowd noise. Screams and whistles for what purpose. They don't care about the music, nor respect the musicians. Hate it.
That's pretty much what originated The Wall by Pink Floyd, so perhaps it can be a good thing when such masterpiece is created lol
@@SattzFFGood point. When I saw Yes, I was also very enthusiastic 😊
They're Americans.

Got it, I'll see what I can do
@@SattzFFGates of Delirium is a must. And Yes, studio version 😊
