I am very curious to know what the design process of the game was and why exactly these two other little dragons were designed. Was it just for a couple of cutscenes, and then their models got reused when the developers were trying to figur out rewards for collecting all the eggs? Or were they originally conceived as rewards for the dragon eggs, and then shoehorned into a couple cutscenes so we wouldn't be confused who they were? Or some other fruitless reason?
Not as fast as amp though, but I guess she is the fairy of electricity.
I don't care what anyone says, this was one of my favourite games to play growing up

I don't know why this game gave me so much trouble as a kid. I ended up rage quiting and never picked it back up. But after watching this playthrough and waiting for the trilogy remaster, I may have to dive back in, if I can find my copy.
I used to like it a lot but now I think it's not *that* good but it's alright
If you dont care about the moral and legal grey area of emulators, you could download one and run a rom on it. Personally I recommend dolphin emulator with a game cube copy.

It definetly irks me and made me furious when I was a kid thinking the boss fights were that hard and some mini gameplays too lol.
Got as far as Icy Citadel. Gloomy Glacier is an absolute NIGHTMARE to get through.

I really wish Ember and Flame had more of a role in the story. I got into this game thinking Ember was an important character, and that she going to be playable. Not gonna lie, after learning that she and Flame were irrelevent to the plot, I lost interest. The story and gameplay would have been more interesting if it involved young dragons besides Spyro.
I think she and Flame are available as, like, alternate "costumes" for Spyro, but yeah, it's disappointing how little they do. There's a lot of potential in young dragons who aren't Spyro himself, and I hope future Spyro games start making efforts to see that potential realized. Fanworks have made pretty good use of them, in my opinion, but it'd be really nice to see official works do that too.

Even though the graphics of the game as well as the voices are not as good as the reignited trilogy, a hero's tail is still a great story. Red is surly a villain, but he sure has a great personality and I like that character.
Personally, I prefer AHT's artstyle. It feels more colorful

The only thing that bothers me about this game is the ending. As soon as you defeat Red for good, one last cutscene plays where the elders watched Spyro’s adventure on TV. I was expecting a celebration or something. Even games like the 1st Jak and Daxter had a better ending which also led to their sequel.
I played this game so much as a kid my dad still does impressions of money bags to wind me up, havent played in at least 9 years
It's funny watching all the Dragon Dads from the Reignited Trilogy be compared to their original interpretations in this series.
Just the difference in design.
I’d love to see this game get remastered. Keep the Reignited Trilogy voice actors, make some of the missions not so repetitive, leave out a little bit of third wall breaking, try making the game not so silly, change up a few cutscenes, get rid of that ball thing (I never understand why that was there) and add something more than just a “funny” cutscene if you 100% the entire game.

I’ve played the original trilogy, the reignited trilogy and my absolute favorite, the legend of Spyro trilogy. I have not played enter the dragonfly or a hero’s tail because I heard they’re bad. Are they worth a play?

what killed it for me is the overly-human faces of the fairies and mermaids...plus when Spyro looks at the camera and complains "chicks!" while talking to the mermaid with huge cleavage - I basically just gave the game up at that point. Otherwise, such an interesting entry. Too bad it couldn't live up

Spyro should have told Ember she's fat and he'd rather be with the gay elder Magnus.
Now I understand why this game and Enter the Dragonfly failed: the writing and characterisation are utterly atrocious.
They turned Spyro into an obnoxious twerp whose every line of dialogue is an unfunny snark or wisecrack that would make Ben Tennyson cringe in embarassment. Combine that with an equally obnoxious voice AND an insufferable facial expression and I suddenly wanna drown post-Insomniac Spyro in a pool of lava.
Character voices and designs don't matter in games. Gameplay is the only thing that matters.

@Cartoonist Louis well at least you can play him in year of the dragon that's the most part I enjoy in the game idk why people take so bad about year of the dragon I think it's the best in the trilogy because it had a good story to it and the best characters a hero's tail holds a little bit of Spyro I can't say the same about enter the dragonfly

@@UltimateEnderman45 Enter the Dragonfly was already bad. A Hero's Tail is better than that game. You can't expect that game to be like the trilogy (going through portals, collecting all gems, collecting specific things to progress, etc. etc.) This game doesn't deserve hate all just because of the game not being like the trilogy or having different people voicing characters. The game is a good game.
