Test passed, you legend! Congrats on that Tim, I'm 47 and don't even have a learner permit, heh, so I know how you felt before passing that hideous test. I do have a fancy ebike though but lugging camping gear on your back while cycling isn't exactly ideal. Must have been cozy in the tent with that owl hooting outside. Nice.
It was really comfortable and warm in front of the fire with the owls, jack was very interested in the sound of them. Thanks for the nice comment, passing was a pain in the ass but I’m so glad it’s behind me now. All the best
Nice camp. How are you liking the Dutch Army tent so far? I'm waiting for you to test it during a very English rainy camp as I've seen and read some bad comments about them letting in water, but I have a feeling that it is user error rather than the tent itself.
Hi. I really like them, I have slept in other Dutch army tents before and I think the most important thing is to allow them to get wet, so many of them are stored away in dry places for a long time and the fibres shrink making gaps in the fabric. If they get wet a couple of times and dry slowly the fibres swell again and it get way more waterproof. Also it’s good practice to set it up as tight as a drum so the water has chance to run off better. All the best
Yeh I got a lot bigger over the past couple years lockdown didn’t do me any favours but I’m back out hiking and lifting heavy so I may be bigger but I’m also a lot stronger. All the best

Driving lessons stressed me out a lot so I just borrowed my mums car and learned to drive that for six months then bought the Hyundai and got temporary learner insurance on it for another six months. I failed my first try but it wasn’t in my home city, second try in Carlisle where I live and passed with only 2 faults
