    These guys are wimps. I remember one job I had working in the kitchen of a seafood and bar joint and the kitchen was so disgusting there were maggots everywhere. But I sucked it up and just cleaned the place up. But these guys are losing it over some spilled oil and a unruly customer calling you a loser? This show is honestly pathetic in its portrayal of some of the most fragile drama queens I've ever seen. They wouldn't last 5 minutes in a real restaurant where screaming at everyone and losing it would just get you fired or beat up.

      You should actually watch the show before you judge the characters, lol.

    Man this reminds me of working the line on those stressful nights where all you hear is the ticket machine printing out orders and everything all at once happening and still managing to get out of the “weeds”. It’s definitely a life most will break under the pressure.. and this show catches that like no other from an individuals perspective!

      No not at all, the inside of anyone's favourite restaurant doesn't run like this. The kitchen carmy took over is the worst of the worst

    • @RamzaBeoulves
      @RamzaBeoulves 3 місяці тому +4

      @@katesalinas9828 Don't know about the worst. One of my coworker stabbed someone in the parking lot and another one went to jail after intentionally selling the wrong drug to teenagers which killed two of them and put a third in a coma
      The way the show depicts a high stress environment looks fairly realistic to me

    one really subtle but really effective thing that jeremy allen white did for carmy that i absolutely love is that in moments where carmy is experiencing high levels of stress or intense emotions, jeremy will sometimes make carmy’s face just drop into a completely blank neutral expression, not a single thought behind his eyes. if you watch back the show you’ll notice that when he shouts i can’t do this into the camera, before he yells at sydney to get off the pass, and dotted all around here and there you’ll notice that he does this for carmy at points where he’s internally experiencing a lot; i think he does this really specific character trait because he understands that carmy is pretty emotionally underdeveloped - like when he’s experiencing high stress or intense emotions he doesn’t know how to react to them so his face doesn’t know what to do. it’s a fun choice that most people probably didn’t properly notice on a first viewing but goes a long way in making carmy seem vulnerable when it comes to dealing with emotions.

      Do you even know that it in real life this is the scenario in most successful restaurants where the Head Chef literally does not cares whether tou live or die?! Working in a professional kitchen (that to on Michelin starred restaurant set up) is mot everyone's cup of tea. Carmy managed to remain sane despite all the major upheavals in his life and still not give up on cooking altogether so yeah- How to Chef up Like Carmy Berzatto is the best title.

    I watched the first episode of this show and found it boring and unoriginal. Jeremy White spent 9 seasons playing a young Chicagoan who wastes his potential. Now it's a different young Chicagoan wasting his potential in a different part of the city.

      I actually really enjoyed the series, but I had the same thought. It definitely feels like part of the same world. I don’t think that’s a bad thing though. I want different perspectives from inside the same world, that’s what let’s them become three dimensional.
