Lol always love how franky is such a degenerate at heart. Having to hold his tongue working for the craftsman and being so happy to help sanji kick ass
The title of Oiran is for the highest ranking courtesans. They were trained to be versed in a lot of traditionals arts and known to be exquisitely beautiful and classy. Adored by men and an model of femininity to women. Even if her line of work is engaged in prostitution, high ranking Oirans could choose a large choice of customers (mostly wealthy and influental) and didn't engage in sex work at all. Their services were extremely expensive. Edit: imagine an entire other One Piece manga but just about Zoro when he was lost.
Their are cover stories about Caribou; he was mistaken as a revolutionary guy by a dead grandma😂 then, X. Drake captured him and that is how he ended up in Wano.👍
Oiran is a high-class courtesan, they sell their skills like dancing or poetry to entertain high-class nobles. They don't sell their bodies but if you have money you can redeem them out to be your wife or misstress. Geisha also similar but they are considered lower-class and they also pour tea or boose for the customers. And btw, Kamurou are girls who serve the oirans while also training to be an oiran too.
Caribou's stuff is a cover story, long story short he had a brief change of heart when the old lady who saved him and he was robbing had a grandson who looked just like him, Gaburu. Incidentally Gaburu was a Revolutionary, so everyone thought he was him, he saved the village under the guise of Gaburu after making up with his brother, but then got defeated and dragged away by X Drake, now revealed to have been dragged to Wano
17:30 fun fact he actually is shown when they pan over all the prisoners when Luffy gets there, I was wondering if you caught it or not but its understandable its kinda a sensory overload moment haha.
Yep, Udon are a type of noodles. In fact, all of the locales in Wano are all the names of food. Except Ringo(jk) tho; still not sure how he got there. Maybe he likes Apples lol -EDIT: Oiran are high-class courtesans, with an emphasis on class. The most notable difference between Oiran and regular prostitutes was usually that Oiran carry themselves with class and poise inside and out
Here's the thing, Boom. No matter what people will find anything to bitch about..One second they say Wano was too long...and on the other hand when it was over they say it was too short...MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.
The Sangoro's Soba bit reminded me that the author of "Food Wars" (not sure if Boom is familiar) did a short series of stories with Sanji as its main character. Set in different periods, from back before he joined the crew and was still a cook on Baratie, up to his stint as a street soba salesman. It was called Shokugeki no Sanji.
I don't know if its been mentioned, but that little carpenter boss Franky is under, is actually a reference to a character made up for and sbs answer waaaaaaay back when they were just starting to do it. I want to say its suppossed to be his brother or something, who repaired Makino's bar door, after Higuma broke it down. In the manga, Oda had just forgotten to draw it destroyed, but Oda does as Oda desires, and just came up with a funny excuse for it, and we now have that silly joke come back as a new character in Wano.
love these episodes, o7 shes the simp maker and ruler lol, she didnt force them to come to her and spend their money. she didnt force them to abandon their families :P they choose that shit and shes like "bet, ill take the money, and yall trash" :P i love her stance lol
The idol culture thing is so true. I told myself i would never get into it but in January i found Stray Kids (Kpop) and they have taken over my life. I don't regret it one bit though. I only wish now that i found them sooner.
i never understand why people always say they have a problem with pacing, it's One Piece, every episode is a highlight :D I never had problems with pacing because i watch it to enjoy it ^^ and not to be bothered by much episodes lol
Because it used to be that the anime would have one episode adapt about two or three chaoters of the manga, and it got to the point, especially after the time skip, that it would only adapt one chapter per episode, and sometimes even less than that. On the top of that, they still feel the need to put in random filler episodes and arcs (G8 was fantastic though), for a show that releases weekly. They are times where the anime can take a moment to get the breath it never got in the manga, but, if you look especially at Dressrosa, there are many episodes where nothing really happens until the final third of the episode, and the rest will be drawn out panning shots, multiple character reactions, and repeated imagery. Its not as bad when you can binge, but back when you had to watch past arcs on a week-to-week basis, its like waiting a week for a good meal, only to get a small appetizer, and being left to hunger for an actual plot another week.

Man, this episode has so many little things that feel so different watching them after finishing Wano. What an arc. So many moving pieces.

Oiran had to wear those shoes so they couldn't run away. Though they're even taller here, of course. Because it's One Piece.
Franky experiencing that long ass JRPG sidequest feeling
The actor who plays Orochi also played Doctor Hogback from Thriller Bark arc
I think that Tonoyasu has the same VA as Foxy as well, which I find kind funny
@@brandonstickels5435Yes,and Wapol too
And Kumashii from Perona too

Apparently Japan grows a lot of apples.

And speaking of food, Udon is, in fact, a type of food. As a matter of fact, all regions of Wano are named after food.
These episodes drop so many breadcrumbs and it's going to be so satisfying when everything comes around.

Udon is a region of japan. Like a state in the US. However the Udon noodle was developed there.
oh no not the smile this surely wont lead up to a sad moment
Lol. Dolphin in a wig. How have we not seen that in this series already??

The episode with the old man is the perferct cautionary tale for men who are acting like simps and throwing away their money
Least down bad tier 3 sub.
Boomsentai! you did unusual video-work. talk to you soon!👏
Zoro and Robin are the hottest characters and Franky is just super. That is all!
LETS GO! ❤
@BoomSentai
Let's ask Shogo (UA-camr) have a good informative video about Geisha and Oiran if you are interested to learn.
Love shogo he's such a wealth of information on Japanese culture
Well, he is Japanese after all 🙂👍
komurasaki is fine...but orobi better
Maybe it's just me, but it's hard for me to sympathize with a person who is rich and their only source of income seems to be lending money
They are not called "Smile" fruit for nothing!
