Metal Trenches woke up and chose violence lol
Always
Bahaha!!! Amen
😂
Bring Me the Horizon is the band every tattooed girl I met in college loved. Metal bands marketing themselves to women need to have that delicate balance where they're aggressive enough to seem edgy, but also wimpy enough to seem non-threatening.
I skipped out on Mastodon to see Exhorder during Psycho Las Vegas. About 15 min in, I realized I made a mistake.
That's like saying I skipped out on fillet mingon to have some beef jerkey.
For me Suicidal Tendencies has made a huge impact on my life. I discovered them through "Institutionalized" like many others, however for me it was a song that just happened to play on my phone while shuffling through Slayer and my initial reaction I'll admit was "this is odd, and sounds nothing like thrash" lol. But several years later the pandemic was going on and I was in a bad place and I decided to go back and dig into them just because why not, and I realized what Mike was talking about in those songs really packed a punch. So I did more and more research and watched some interviews and now often call them my favorite band of all time even though I've been listening to bands like Iron Maiden and Metallica for much longer. I really hate saying this because it's been a meme for a while now but SxTx really changed my life and helped me find myself and my identity. Mike's vocals aren't the best but that's alright at least I can sing along with them and not feel the way I do when I'm singing along to a Dio song lol. And as far as the rest of the band Rocky George is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time and come on who doesn't love Trujillo's funky bass lines? Much better in SxTx than he is in modern Metallica.
Anyway, I'll shut up for now but that's jsut my personal thoughts and feelings on the band and that's why I'll forever go back to them especially the first four albums. Ain't nobody gonna bring me down. SxTx for life.
The pandemic was definitely an amazing time for getting into bands.
In lockdown I listened to the complete discogs of about 6 artists which left me wondering where they’d been all my life.
I couldn’t agree more with your opinion of ICE NINE KILLS. A coworker told me I absolutely had to listen to them, and when I did I was very disappointed to say the least.
Totally agree
Architects is actually one of the bands for me that fit this category, no matter how much I try. I can't seem to separate them in my mind from being some kind of Periphery worship band or something, as the elements of their music are SO similar . And I've never considered them to be even 3 ballparks from the same ballpark in regards to other contemporary Djent acts like Weston Super Maim or TesseracT.
It’s unfortunate especially because they started out as a really fun mathy metalcore band.
give their old old (pre Daybreaker) stuff a shot. very mathy in a different way.
songs like Hollow Crown have 2 step licks, and We're All Alone has a ton of Norma Jean style theatrics and influence imo
Maybe I'm dickriding their OG stuff bc I'm mad they changed it up so much lol
@@endgame_real nah I’m right there with you bud. They used to be so fun.
Absolutely perfect description for ERRA. Like it's fine when it comes through in a random playlist as background music, but I always forget them until they come up again.
Kataklysm to me is a live band only. The thing I like are the predictable, slow/medium tempo, hard hitting riffs (like on crippled & broken) that are just perfect for head numbing head banging. It's a blast :D
Dope snapback..where did you get?
New York band called Leave. Friend of mine was the vocalist til he passed a few years ago
Love these videos man! I'm so thankful to hear your take on BMTH - the worship of that band is on another level (this coming from a huge Sleep Token fan) and I just can't do it.
Ice Nine took some time to grow on me and I think it's because I was able to use them as a "segway" to get my kids into heavier stuff I have a soft spot for them.
The Erra thing made me laugh because I just recently started to get into them, but your description was perfect - late to the party djent - lol
its 'segue' believe it or not
@@citrous dammit!!! lol thanks for the correction I didn’t know 🤦♂️
@@DrewCheech me neither for a loooong time
Some very refreshing views! So tired of praise being dished onto bands I can’t get excited about. Agreed with many of your reviews and particularly BMTH - thank you ! Always enjoy your content - you’ve put me onto to some awesome music I never knew about - excellent as always MT!
Suicidal Tendencies: A more catchy version of D.R.I.
Erra: We already have a Spiritbox
Kataklysm: 50 albums, all the same, all the same
Dark Funeral: That one band that nobody cares for
Exhorder: One album wonder oldschool thrash
Brodequin: UUUUUUGGGGGHHHHHHH
Ice Nine Kills: They think that combining classic horror movies with metal is still original
My Dying Bride: A great and talented snorefest
Mortician: That's what people who don't know metal think what metal is
BMTH: A lovely band for goth girls that are more pop rather than metal
You got such a similar taste to me. Makes it that much easier to come back to your vids. 100% on bands like dark funeral kataklysm and doom as a whole 😅
100% agree with this list but Brodequin. I think they are my favorite band. Instruments of Torture and the new album are just so good.
"Dodgeball snares". All hail HypnoToad !
I have to ask , that album cover on the wall, the head without face, what band is it from?
Agree with most of the bands but Suicidal Tendencies I really cannot understand all the hype :/
They are called Morkera. Great band ❤
@@mikaelpalm943 thank you man, such an awsome album cover
@@joaoreis8782 your welcome 👍
You know, even as more of a doom fan than you I struggle with My Dying Bride. The most recent album was just a bit of a slog to get through. I much preferred the last album from Godthrymm which features a couple of former members.
Hey, cool video, what is your opinion on TesserzacT? Did you listen to more of it?
BMTH changed the game with That's The Spirit and they've been drinking their own bathwater ever since.
I'd be interested to see the flipside of this, bands you're into that most others don't like. Mine's probably The Fall of Troy. Most of their lyrics are crap, but the instrumentals are so much fun. Phantom on the Horizon never gets old for me.
Mine is I still bump Glassjaw everything you wanted to know, the album has been vilified and in cases rightfully so it is incely as fuck at times but there's this stooges level rawness that very few bands create
"Fun" is also the word I've always used to describe them. It's the Doppelganger and Manipulator albums that I've been a giant fan of since around '07. Good stuff, man.
I like this idea. Emmure are my pick. Like I know they aren’t a great band, but I can’t help but go crazy when I hear them
I agree with all of them except tendencies. That being said, your points are absolutely valid lol. Mike Muir can be a bit much. I like the 90s exhorder albums, but not that much so we’ll let that slide. Good video dude!
Everything you said about Brodequin is how i feel about Job for a Cowboy. Ive tried multiple times to listen to them but I can't remember anything from the album i listened to.
I agree with all of this! I appreciate too that you go back and give some bands another college try. I do the same thing from time to time; maybe my taste has changed? But probably not. Lol
DEFINITELY agree on the Erra take. I joke that Veil of Maya now is "Periphery Lite," but Erra? Erra's essentially not only worse Periphery, with this last album, it's a worse Northlane. Also, the clean singing is very hit or miss.
Yeah at least VoM has some variety.
You really do give Ice Nine Kills a solid shot every time. Which I appreciate. I’m a fan of theirs but in some way I get it. The pun-driven lyrics are a bit much at times, it’s like constantly being nudged by some dude at the bar that wants to talk to you while you’re out with someone.
Hey Metal Trenches, I have a question, what’s your your pick for a metal album for people who don’t like metal?
Poppy - I Refuse comes to mind. Most nu metal. A Day To Remember.
I know you didn't ask me, but I'd go with something by Devin Townsend, like the Addicted album. Even my mom likes a few of his songs.
Hey Metal Trenches, curious... if the opportunity to see any of these bands live came around, would you go just to check it out? I know that's happened for me where i may not care for a band's albums, but seeing them live in just a whole other experience. Like Cannibal Corpse. I just can't get into the albums. For me it just doesn't click. But live? I'll go see them on tour for sure. The music just works so much better in a live setting to me. On another end of the spectrum is Disturbed. Same thing, the albums never did anything for me, but saw them live a few times and it was a great show each time.
Absolutely. I always keep an open mind.
This is a fun topic for conversations. The opposite of the “guilty pleasures” lists.
My Dying Bride took me a long time to get into but when I did I fell in love with every one of their albums.
Kataklysm's Taking the World by Storm is one of my personal favorite melodic death metal songs.
exhorder- desecrator. Thats one of the best songs I ever heard heheh. Awesome riffs etc.
I agree about Erra. The Core community keeps telling me they're one of the best of the Progressive Djent-core movement but I just... don't feel it.
Mortician and really all similar bands feel like a joke to me. Like, there's almost nothing interesting about them if I'm being honest.
Ice Nine Kills is definitely kind of a guilty pleasure. They get so. damn. cringe. from time to time, but man, as soon as Spencer switches from singing me melodies to like hyperactive mad screams with the guitar going up and down, they have me hyped.
I agree with most of your takes: Sucidial Tendencies, Exhorder, Dark Funeral and the only ones that I disagree are Brodequin and Mortician but just because I love stuff like that
Have you ever heard of the band Feared. I'd describe them as grove/death metal? I just discovered them a couple months ago. I think their really good Curious as to your thoughts about them if you've heard them.
Deicide. I wanna get into them but the only thing that really keeps me engaged is the guitar solos
Same here
Same here. I love Scars of the crucifix but everything else falls short for me
I'm with you on this, they've always felt pretty dull compared to the other big Florida bands, who tend to have so much personality. Obituary grooves harder, Morbid Angel does the chaotic, evil sound better, Cannibal Corpse is more brutal, and... well, Death is Death
oh shit, I listen to Deicide only for the solos of Ralph Santola (rip).
Same for me. Can't get into them at all.
Cannibal Corpse is in a similar boat, but I'll go see them live anytime. CC just works better in that sense for me than listening to the albums in my car or at work lol
2:19 for Kataklysm, yea I think you'll like their mid-career material more. Sorcery and Temple of Knowledge (and the Mystical Gate of Reincarnation EP) are chaotic for sure. I love it, but know it's definitely not for everyone, haha. But they shifted as you heard on The Prophecy. Epic (The Poetry of War) and Shadows And Dust will be more up your alley i think. After that it becomes hit and miss, but still some good material.
Yeah I think there is more wiggle room for them moving forwards
Oof on not being able to get into Suicidal Tendencies. Totally get it, though. Honestly to me, they're more of a live band to see live over listening to anything they created in the studio.
I think their current line-up is stacked though. Mike Muir and Dean Pleasants, obviously, but also Ben frickin' Weinman on rhythm guitar, Tye Trujillo on bass, and Jay Weinberg on drums.
For me, the number one for this kind of thing is Discharge. They were hyped up to me as the fastest, craziest thing you will ever hear, and it turned out to be a slightly angrier Motorhead.
I kinda get it. I really like Discharge, but I think they are a bit of an acquired taste.
One of my fave bands, and “slightly angrier Motörhead” is 100% accurate
I actually like exploited more than discharge
Periphery is that band for me, and it mostly comes down to the fact that I can’t stand Spencer’s vocals. But I’m also just not a big fan of the songwriting. I’ve tried countless times, and I acknowledge that the band are technically gifted, but yeah… their music never really clicked with me
It's like a messy mix of songs, screams and noise. I do not like it at all neither.
I like a few of their songs, and I try really hard to like them, but I can't really get more than a few songs deep into an album before I switch back to something else.
I have couple songs from them that I absolutely love and adore but the rest is meh
I absolutely LOOOOVE Periphery, but that's fair. When I was in high school I found Periphery II at Hot Topic (for...some reason?) and picked it up because the name sounded cool. Wore that CD out during my entire sophomore year, so it's safe to say I'm extremely biased.
They're that band for me, too. On paper, I should love them, but none of their music actually sticks with me
My favorite band is Katatonia. To me, their music is sublimely dark, emotional, and heavy at the same time I swear, not one time have I met anyone in person who had heard of them.
Your thoughts on Brodequin are how I feel about Nails. It's just "oh... so you guys are just going to do this the whole time.."
Also I'm sure I'm going to get told how wrong I am, but I do not like Converge at all. I find Jane Doe to be unlistenable.
i love Ice nine kills alot, they are not for everyone but they just are a kickass band, their first 2 albums were not that great but once the hunter becomes the prey came out, they really ramped up a bit and got even more better with each release
I mean, you can't love all bands (and probably shouldn't), and I also don't love any of those bands, but when given the chance on a festival, I watched some of them and didn't regret it. I'd say "liking some of their songs" is enough to watch them live and have a good time.
Watching a band live you absolutely love on the other hand can be a recipe for desaster, for example when they have bad sound or are in a bad shape (tired, drunk, technical problems) or just don't play any of your favorite songs...
Kataklysm are indeed very uninteresting band, and I agree on Dark Funeral too. The others here I either don't have much of an opinion on or like, but I at least get why you can't get into.
I have a great Idea for a new video, you should do an Avant Garde Metal band tier list.
Dark funeral is one of my favorite bands ever but I respect your opinion. I’m biased because I love Caligula and dominator more than I love myself
kataklysm way better live than on recording imo, i don't really jam their stuff ever but i've seen them live a few times and they always put on a good show
I could see that
Man, I got old and don't keep up metal anymore. I feel the same way about ST, though. When I'm in the mood to get my metal on, I just go to some old favorites like Reign in Blood, Arise, Great Southern Trendkill. I'm good with that.
I'm right there with ya on like all of these bro.
Nice list
Absolutely agree on Suicidal they have a handful of songs i love but just to inconsistent on what they want to be
I’m a huge Nu-Metal and Alt Metal fan, but there are bands in the genre I just struggle to get into or like.
* Linkin Park (I like a few songs but man I just don’t get how everyone liked this band, it’s Diet Nu-Metal and I just always struggled to like them)
* System Of A Down (a lot of people love this band, but I just can’t get into them, I like Spiders as it sounds very Tool like, but apart from that I just can’t get into them)
* Slipknot (the biggest Metal band since Metallica, but I just can’t get into them)
* KoRn (I like Got The Life and Freak On A Leash, but apart from that I can’t get into them)
* Disturbed (I really like their first album The Sickness, I even have it on Vinyl, but apart from that first album I just can’t get into them)
* Papa Roach (I only like 1 song from them in Between Angels and Insects, but man I can’t get into this mediocre band, and they are trend hoppers, Papa Roach just like to follow the latest trend)
Other bands I struggle to get into are
* Five Finger Death Punch (now on paper I should love this band, but I just can’t get into them)
* Tool (I like a few songs as they sound like a Prog version of Alice In Chains and I love AIC, but for some reason I just can’t get into Tool)
* Breaking Benjamin (i like a few songs, but I find them mid, I should love this band but to me they are a mid band)
* Three Days Grace (very much like Breaking Benjamin, I think they are better than Breaking Benjamin and I do like a few Three Days Grace songs, but I struggle to fully get into them)
* Nickelback (they are not as bad as people make them out to be, and I do like a couple of their songs in Too Bad and Just For, on Silver Side Up which imo are their two best songs, but man they are very mid, and so many bands do what Nickelback do but much better)
This is like a death metal fan saying “I’m a huge death metal fan, but I don’t like Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Death or Obituary” lol
No disrespect, just an observation
@@JustAnotherHeavyMetalManiac I’m more a fan of the unknown/underground bands, as imo they paint a better picture of the genre.
@@NuMetalfan1996 Fair enough.
Edit: Totally agree with you on Papa Roach. I think they suck for the most part, but Between Angels and Insects is a really good song.
Maaaan Kataclysm seemed like they were on every tour in the early 2000s, I swear I saw them 10 times. I never cared for them and often skipped them completely when I saw them on later tours.
Had that same sentiment with suicide silence n killswitch engage in the early 2ks
@@DeaDlyCorpsE528 yeah saw KE with Soilwork in the early 2000s and was bored. Never been a big metalcore fan.
Saw them last week and they were super underwhelming
@@demonovationable saw them many timed because they would get on tours with bands that i actually wanted to see, so had to stand through their sets
I saw them open for Napalm Death and Cannibal Corpse in that era. Honorable mention Origin was on many death metal tours during that time.
ST are one of those bands I never really got into, but still respect tf out of them. Love me some Mortician, but I can see their death metal cheese. They used to get memed a lot on FB because of it. Tbh, some of their samples do go on waaaay too long
I'm just gonna say it, I don't mind Suicidal Tendencies, but I've never gotten into Municipal Waste
I went to a BMTH show, and saw just what you said about them: too much lights, electronic noises and voices, and weak or generic songs.
Do an Esoteric tier list bro. Maniacal Vale is goated
My biggest one has to be Incantation, and by extension most of the death metal that was big in the latter portion of the 2010s. I understand the influence, but there just aren't any riffs that I can latch on to. I don't think it's a coincidence that the only two modern OSDM bands that I think are worth the time of day, Necrot and Vitriol, have pretty much no Incantation influence. Necrot sounds like Autopsy instead, and Vitriol is pretty much a tech-death band with OSDM aesthetics.
It's interesting that you feel like that about Brodequin. I totally understand the feeling, but I'm partial to a blur of blast beats here and there. Would you say you feel the same about Hate Eternal?
I've tried many times, but for some reason, I can't get into Nickelback or Pink.
You really aren’t missing much with Nickelback.
Are you kidding? They both suck.
Pink has some killer stuff. Family Portrait, for example, is like reliving the childhood I went through. In a cathartic manner.
I think you may like HERDER a dutch sludge band by JB van der wal who also played in Aborted and now plays in Dool.
You might not like the vocals though.
People love ghost, bad omens, and sleep token and I don't get it at all. I've tried listening numerous times.
I feel like Bad Omens and Ghost have a couple of good tracks in their discography.
Ghost does have a neat stage presence that keeps me coming back, albeit I’m not keen on Satanism.
Ghost’s first two albums are class
Yeah I don’t understand the hype for these bands either.
My list of bands everyone loves but I just can't get into:
Spiritbox, Ghost, Trivium, Archspire, Meshuggah, The Black Dahlia Murder (which is crazy because I really like Wretched), Tesseract, Amorphis, Nightwish, Jinjer, Emperor (even though I love Ihsahn...)There are many more but I'm trying to stick with semi-currently relevant bands. At least Death finally clicked with me this past year😅.
Also Veil of Maya.
I can agree with most of these. The first ST album is a stone cold classic though. And Mortician was one of the bands that got me into death metal so I have a soft spot there.
My list will definitely result in pitchforks. Any melodeath band, Mastodon, Opeth, Meshuggah. Can't get into any of those.
I love ST but you are right about the inconsistency on some albums
How will I laugh is a banger from beginning to end though
I TOTALLY agree about BMTH. I hate the mix of pop and metalcore that just creates girlypop audience. It's unique... but unique done badly
I know you aren't a doom guy. I have a couple of one and done albums you might want to check out. I never got into My Dying Bride either, maybe some tracks from the 90s albums.
S:T Erik - From Under the Tarn
Sloth - Voice of God
I agree with you absolutely on Suicidal Tendencies. There's like 5 songs out of their 300 that I enjoy. I will say Infectious Grooves goes a bit harder.
Ooooh I was with you right up until BMTH
Slipknot for me. I definitely agree with you on BMTH. I haven't watched one of your videos in awhile and I'm glad you toned down the TV and movie clips.
I am sure there are other bands for me but the one that sticks out to me is Amon Amarth. Everybody seems to think they are the greatest band but when I try to give it a chance, I'm just done with it before the middle of the song and want to change to a different song or even just silence.
Last good album was Twilight of the Thunder God. which was awhile ago. They aren't one of the best in their style, just the most popular because of the gimmick.
They may not be THE greatest, but havent you really ever headbanged to "Guardians of Asgaard"?
If you haven’t listened to their early albums, listen to them. They are light years ahead of the butt-metal (like butt-rock) stuff they have been playing for the last decade or so.
I do love Suicidal Tendencies, it's 1 of the first bands i got into. But i also understand it's not for everyone. The rest of the bands mentioned i don't really care about but i do want to give Ice Nine Kills another try.
CALLOUS DAOBOYS ARE THE SHIT DUDE LETS GOOOO
One of the main reasons why I don’t like Mortician is their fans. Every time I want to talk about how heavy a band or album that I like is, there’s always one dude who goes “Bro, this isn’t even heavy, listen to Mortician”. One of my favorite genres is grind, and I think that Mortician sounds like excessive weirdness.
it's cool man, i don't like any of those bands either, although i do dig a few ST songs.
putting out Finn out there for your fans, nice!
I swear tho, were from the same generation.
Im glad you understand the weight of my dying bride so you respectfully diss them.
Also BMTH in here is true af
When the vocals sound closer to burping than actual growling or singing then you've lost me!✌️
Totally agree with Dark Funeral. Mid band at best. I love doom but could never get into My Dying Bride for some reason. Which is strange because I love many similar bands.
Loved bands I Can't get into/
1. Burzum
2. Grave
3. Sabaton
4. Static X
5. Arch Enemy
6. Amon Amarth
7. Asking Alexandria
8. Godsmack
9. D. R. I.
10. Suicide Silence
Kataklysm is actually one of my top 10 favorite bands of all time. I feel like I’m one of the very few who likes their very early era along with their newer era of material. The only blemish in their catalog I think is Serenity in Fire because it is atrociously over produced. As far as Dark Funeral, they are still my favorite black metal band to this day, no matter how commercial they are for the genre, I still love them, yet I can still understand why some people wouldn’t like the vocals. Thx for the content
I agree with you on Brodequin. I checked out the new album, and I thought it was fine, but it is actually one of the highest ranked metal records on the year on RYM right now, and I can't understand why, especially in such a packed year for releases.
I also agree with your points on Erra and Bring Me The Horizon. I'm only slightly sad about My Dying Bride being here, but I get it. Doom is an aquired taste as it is, and MDB is even more slow and mournful than most in the genre
I love Mortician, Brodequin, and Ice Nine Kills. I’d say the criticisms on them are quite valid and I respect your opinions.
Please check out the album I Hate Therfore I Am by Cyclone Temple. Early 90s thrash, overlooked.
Except for Kataklysm and Dark funeral who is on my top 20 band of all time, all other i agree with you
Gotta be Korn for me. I just can't. Also Rage against the machine
I can’t get into Paradise Lost, at least from what I have checked out from them. I will be listening more here and there though to see if I change my mind.
mayhem for me
love darkthrone, emperor, and leviathan; and also enjoyed mgła and immortal, but i cant really get mayhem's appeal
I tend to stay away from Mayhem, because from what I can tell, the only thing they have not offered by most other black metal, is the controversy. I like to separate art from artist, but all the stuff that members have done in the past...
Other BM also just offers everything Mayhem has, but without the controversy (mostly).
this
@@Indoctrinated_LethargyWhat also sucks is that they haven't moved on from controversy. To my understanding, the band call their fans "Legion Norge", named after a norwegian SS battalion. And if that's not enough, they legit sell merch with nazi iconography on sleeves. Sad that this band is incapable of writing music on the level of their other comrades ala Darkthrone, Immortal, etc.
@@filipdzero8739 wow ok. I did not know this. Yikes
I like two Mayhem albums and two of their EPs, but other than that, I’m with you.
Suicidal is my all time favorite band! :)
I like draconian for slower/doomy metal. It’s not a genre I love, and I agree My Dying Bride has always been super meh/ Overrated. Also Ice nine kills do have some issues for me too. I can’t point to one thing exactly, but I think it’s the vocal’s… anthemic butt rock quality mixed with a little bit of a modern version of Atreyu cringe. Cant say they don’t have some good moments in songs that I enjoy though.
This is how I feel about Archspire… A few songs are OK here and there, but I can’t listen to anyone of their albums all the way through
I can get that. Personally, they are one of my favorite bands, but I can see how even for a lot of metalheads they would just be...too much.
Yup, and also Beyond Creation as well.
@@Indoctrinated_Lethargy I like Beneath the Massacre and Origin.. archspire are not too much, it’s the song writing that doesn’t appeal to me
Their instrumentals are great but the vocals are kind of cringe a lot of the time
@@wrath98 yes, the rapping machine gun stuff just turn me off of the music, and the constant notes over notes in a guitar section with blast beats… it’s like that in every song
Hey there, Brodequin is pretty fuckn sick.
Agree with DF take. Even though they don't have any spectacular release, they're still fun to listen to
I agree on all except My dying bride
Here’s just a few popular bands I can’t get into;
- Nine Inch Nails
- Faith No More
- Napalm Death
- Dream Theater
- Periphery
- Demilich
- Praying Mantis
- Anvil
- Def Leppard
NIN only earlier stuff is good
@@Rafael-kr6zv NIN has individual songs that I like, but otherwise I find them kinda boring.
Dream Theater’s pretentiousness is the reason all their songs have no good riffs and atmosphere. They just cannot except the fact that idiots admire complexity and geniuses admire simplicity.
Kind of stopped with nin after downward spiral. Really enjoyed thier early stuff though.
Same for me with Erra, could never get into them
The band that I still can not get into after over 20 years of being a metal head and with death metal being my favorite, I cannot for the life of me get into Suffocation. They are just that one legendary status band that refuses to click with me.
I’ve seen ice nine kills open for Metallica twice and I hated it both times. I love metal and I love horror movies, and with gwar sometimes I love them together. Ice Nine Kills just doesn’t work for me for some reason.
I agree with My Dying Bride. I saw Ice Nine last year cause my friend got us tickets. It was a fun show, I still listen to them here and there but as time has gone on I just don't care about them as much.
As for bands I'm not a big fan despite them being loved of Disturbed, Sleep Token, Guns N Roses, Dragonforce, Powerwolf
Mortician is the Misfits of death metal. It sounds crappy, but i love it anyway
I don’t quite get the analogy. The Misfits were kinda sloppy and poorly produced, but not unusually so for being a punk band and had much better than average vocals. With Mortician it stands out from the genre, whereas with the Misfits, those aspects of sloppiness and poor production were basically hallmarks of that genre.
Yeah I think I agree with you on all these.
