Metro is a very surprisingly fun game, I was always a big fan of fallout and games with post apocalyptic settings/atmosphere, but taking it underground and having a big emphais on the metros was very unique. I played 2033 and last light for the first time a couple years ago and i started out with survival mode immediately and didnt even know you could use the military grade bullets as actual ammo instead of just as currency until super late into the game, so it genuinely felt like resource management was a big deal and i loved that aspect of it, multiple times did i almost completely run out of ammo and had to play it slow, going for headshots and using stealth, using every resource at my disposal, and the gas mask filters made this even more tense on the surface.
Love this type of videos when people find ways to make the game more and more difficult, I sell every ammo and utility’s and only rely on the loot I find
Nice vid, you may want to try it in ranger difficulty, since everything hits harder, both you and your enemy, so bullet output is more important, second, you can have more than once the same weapon, wich means you can have one with supressor for stealth, and one with extended barrel for better accuracy and damage, third, you don't have hud in ranger, so having the bullets on the weapon easy to see is quite useful and is where metro weapons shine best, if someone else is trying this challenge, in the two first trading stations there are shooting ranges where you can practice without spending your ammo, and knowing better how your weapon behaves while shooting
Don't sweat the turret section too much. Challenge runners of many games doing weapon challenge just go "Since this section literally force you to use this particular weapon, it doesn't count."
What is interesting is that the knife is glitched on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. You also have to use the weapon wheel to get to it. On the hardest difficulty it will do a one shot kill on every enemy except demons. You also had light attacks and power attacks. On the Redux version they fixed the knife to act like the knife in Call of Duty. No more different attacks but it is faster. Technically it is still a one hit kill on human stealth kills.
Yes! No melee, no throwables, Ranger Hardcore! I have done it (except for the on rails section obv) If you ration ammo well and sell ammo and throwables and guns you dont need it is possible

I may have uploaded :)
dying light music go crazy
Metro really is just the best post apocalyptic game. It's just phenomenal
Now do it on ranger hardcore 🔫
Did last light on survival ranger hardcore
Was fun!
25:30 Probably has already been mentioned but you could have avoided it by dropping a weapon from the 1st and 3rd slot and equipping a bastard in that slot. Flamethrower always gets the second slot because "spartan hardcore" difficulty only allows you to have 2 weapon slots.
this wasnt spartan hardcore though
@@patrlim Yeah, so on the mission "Driving to Sparta" when you talk to Vladimir you can drop your bastard from the 2nd slot and reequip on your 1st or 3rd slot then modify your attachments back. Another way to bypass it also is to just have 2 different bastards. But still if I understood you correctly this was your 1st playthrough of Metro2033 and I mean props to you for knifing all of them there. Would like to see you do something similar with Metro Last Light.
@@hans2097 Last Light is in the final stages of editing :)
You should try this on the real 2033. I belive there is no reflex or silencer for the bastard there
@@surprise3471 nope, you gotta raw dog the gun.
Now do it on Ranger Hard
@@bluefire7650 I can confirm, the next video is on survival hardcore
neat
there should be more metro challenges out there..
I might do stuff in metro awakening, we shall see.
ahh would love to see this challange but on original (not redux) where there wasnt any customisation
I usually keep bastard untill I get past frontlines
thats funny, Id like to see metro with killing no one who is not optional and using only knife etc
humans would require stealth, mutants would be a pain in the ass.
Persona music perfect vid
Great video and great edditing W
@@purplebored if you need an editor or something, this editing could be yours!
Should do this run with the other two games
Absolutely yes
Aye I love house of monogon great song from a great VR game.
Bonelab & Boneworks are very important games to me, and the OSTs slap.
@@patrlim same here man.
Honestly, glad that you did not spoiled library. But I must ask, did you used tech, or shoot right through? I always did it through tech. Come to think of it, I almost never shoot, most of my human encounters are knock outs and trowing knife action… until I get spotted by someone.
I couldnt kill a single one if I tried, the bastard isn't great
The only times I really went murder hobo in the metro series is against nazis and reds. Still got the good ending(s) rofl, must've been a good deed to drop nazis 🤷♂️🤷♂️😂
So you're the reason my friend's challenged me to do this
hahahaha, go for it. it was actually fun, though i wasn't playing ranger hardcore
@@patrlim I started it on ranger hardcore I hate everything
@@snett2771 I'm doing last Light on survival hardcore
The nosalis den...
@@patrlim I'll see you in the exodus video
@@snett2771 last light first!
Cool, now do it in Metro 2033 -Redux-
Metro 2033 and last light gripped me instantly. However, I haven't finished exodus yet. What's your opinion on exodus? Great video!
Exodus was great! well worth the full price!
Glad you like the video
Aw man what did he do :(
Why would you subject yourself to that level of torture 😭
Also 0:39 W for the Dying Light music
Dying light is goated
it wasnt actually too bad, WAY easier than beating Alyx without taking damage.
@patrlim won't lie I only watched a bit. I haven't finished 2033 yet and don't wanna spoil the story for myself. I'm currently working my way through It's older brother: S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of Pripyat
@@Neros_light thats perfectly fine, you can come back and finish the video later. enjoy stalker, fun game.
@patrlim very fun game. Despite their flaws I consider the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games masterpieces tbh. I loved Shadow of Chernobyl and grew to love Clear Sky after I modded it
I played SoC pure vanilla. Janky but made up for it in atmosphere and storytelling
Technically, you failed from the startt, but can you beat it with a knife? Or not taking any damage?
music on point🎉
Revolve and basterd are fine
Revolver yes
Bastard no
