  • Ledge Rapids is an old off grid log cabin along the St John River in the North Maine Woods.
Not much of it's history is documented and it has certainly been there a while. This is the first video of the cabin build series. We went to inspect the cabin and the site, take measurements and spend our first overnight on location. I will officially start this project in 2021. This is an old log cabin in the north maine woods that is part of a camp site located along the banks of the st john river. #logcabin #cabin #themainewoods

For me, the ideas in ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxy_pn55PK60wAV3X_C_RoLS_67mNonoCE Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.

I built a log cabin on AZISCOHOS LAKE north western Maine when I was 22yrs old ,on Rasberry road, caught brook trout, salmon, smelt grouse, deer, saw moose, bear, l no longer have it paper company decided to price it out of my range.Had more fun than your supposed to, with wife kids and friends. I was blessed to have spent a lifetime up there, still go up but every one slows down, happy man.recomend to do it as long as you can 70plus yrs.

I like your St John videos. So are these camps in the Allagash Fort Kent areas? Toying with the idea of a small lot or small camp on St John's up there. Not too easy to find something suitable but I like that Eagle Lake, Fort Kent, Allagash area to get away from the world with the wilderness feel, whatever that means in the modern world with gps, satellite internet, big batteries, generators, etc. I've got dry camps near Rangeley and in the Boundary Waters near Grand Marais and Thunder Bay. Remote today just means driving on a gravel road to your camp but even 40 miles out to town is an hour, so no big deal if you plan once every week or two for restock. Yes winter, no road plowing, so I have wide trach snowmobile with trailer for hauling.
