Killdeer. I almost ran over her with the mower. She came at the mower, I didn't see her until she did. I had to get close enough to mark off the nest or someone could have trampled on it as I almost did. They lay their eggs out in open fields or wherever rocks are. It camouflaged the eggs. She was willing to take on the mower to protect her babies! Thanks for stopping by! Blessings!

We went back yesterday and the eggs & Mama were gone. I did mark it to let others know. Don't know what happened.
