Thank you for concluding the rules videos! In BGG there is a lot of discussion about the lack of game save and gameplay unpolished architecture so it may not be my choice, but I really enjoyed your videos! Aeon trespass in depth next??
Thanks for the feedback. Actually I think that Paul Grogan over on Gaming Rules has been working on an Aeon Trespass series... and I'm looking forward to that too!
@@adventuresincreativesoftwa6283 yes, I heard about him working on it. In all cases, you deserve way way way more recognition for your work, I will make sure to tune in your next efforts
Yeah, your sentience attributes are always based on your starting attributes and the cards you currently possess. The sentience pad is just a convenient way to track that.
Your videos are great, with great attention to detail and appropriate calls out. That being said, now that I've watched all 3, I still feel this game seems intimidating to me. That is to say, there's seems to be an over-abundance of things going on. Lots of symbology and iconography to be constantly looking up, maybe too much for my liking. I'm sure the story aspect is great and well written, so I may give it a go anyway...but this just looks like a beast to set up, to track everything, and with all these little nuanced rules...may be an actual turn off for me. I'll still give it a whirl, but I have a suspicion there is more time allocated to setup, phase checking, procedural mechanics than real actual gameplay and that scares me a bit. I hope I can stoach at least one game. Be a shame to feel so overwhlemed that this game just sits in the corner for ages considering its cost.
Thanks for your thoughts. I agree that there can be quite a lot going on (it's not a casual game), and the playtime can be quite long, especially for the first game. I find that it makes for an immersive and engrossing experience, but of course it won't be for everyone. Either way, I hope you get some fun out of your pledge - good luck!
I found the videos a great help for the game! I played through my first turn and am still figuring things out- but it's making sense! Hope you give it a try. 🙂
I don't get it, if defeating the abomination is one objective to win, how can it be an option to not defeat it at the end of the wanderers stage (familiy lineage)?
Yeah, I may not have explained that well. You might lose the game before managing to kill the abomination (e.g. all wanderers are dead at the same time, or you run out of time). If that happens, you apply the 'loss' effect on the back of the abomination card, before packing the game away. Hope this helps.
@@MajinMind It's totally up to you whether consecutive games involve the same wanderers (or the same abomination). Games are separate, and self-contained. (Except for any Legacy cards and lineage tokens, which carry over between games).

Perfect timing! Copy just came in 😁
Once again thanks!! I played my first turn last night and your tutorial was instrumental in me having a good time!!!
outstanding. truly.
Condition cards? If a lightheaded card reduces my sentience by 1 blue, once discarded do I get this back?
