The 1970's were more technologically advanced than what most people think. Just think Disney World had robots in several rides- like Pirates of the Caribbean open back then. Also computers became way more advanced then too. People had personal cameras with sound back then.
microphone and speaker quality was excellent from pretty early onwards as they rely on physical-to-physical transformation (sound waves "jiggle" a membran). The difficulty is the decoding aka getting the individual frequencies out of it and STORE it. Record disk (so what you probably think of high quality audio from back then) are consumer orientated low cost methods for that but they lack the precision. Tape is and was way better. Also for film, 1950s-60s 70mm film is like a 16k digital quality. Why does old radio etc. sound terrible then? because the transmission of the analog data was very limited (low power devices and a lit of noise was everywhere) + cheap speakers as again consumer orientated. With digitial media there is a whole lot more to that as the physical signal needs to be approached by finite steps and raw, uncompressed high quality audio needs a lot of space that was even 15 years ago (2009 ouch😂) not there. long story short: Even the first audio EVER recorded sounds surprisingly clear considering it was recorded in 1860. The reason why old audio sucked was bringing it to a low cost storing solution (and cheap playing devices).
Strange to think that these two young women, at the time, are now around 70 years old. They could have become a world class asmr-team, if it had officially existed :D!
lennomenno unless he’s over 100, of course! Donald Kerr died in a car accident in 1979 at 71, H. Dean Millard in 2013 at 89, Charles Kelsey and Gerald Bonnette also deceased.I’ve done research on all these videos. The dentists and oral pathologists are all stern, old-fashioned men with brylcreem in their hair and hygienists look like old school nurses with the whites and caps. All the dental staff of the school that I know of never had a private practice and devoted their training and career to this place. And as for the girl. She was probably part of the Dazed and Confused Crowd. I was 5 when this was filmed
That overbite is Real. I couldn't imagine closing my teeth together and my bottoms hitting the inside of my uppers. No shade I'm just intrigued at the differences
I went to a dentist who was also old school graduated in the 70’s. Old, old man still working and he didn’t use gloves. It was wild 😂😂 didn’t go back again. He wasn’t bad but I just didn’t. I met his kid. He has a young kid who he had very late in life and she told me, I have a tooth ache don’t tell my dad, I hate his work. That was enough motivation for me to never go back 😂
I'm not 100% positive but,I just found something online about a "Debra L.Markovich that looked a LOT like her,who passed away in 2017 at the age of 65 :(
I love how nice and normal this all is. Today, there would be masks, gloves and a constant use of hygiene fluids. In this video you can full concentrate on the subject. Great!
i thought this is a dental Hygienist and since she looking for dental hygeine she should have examination gloves on?! so where are the gloves!? i got to say that wereing gloves is so not hygienic!
kira newton According to my instructors, examination gloves were introduced to the dental hygiene profession in the mid-1980s. This video seems to have been recorded some time in the 1970s.
Now THIS is unintentional ASMR, and of high quality :D!
Yesss 👏🏼 I’ve watched this video probably 100x already.
❤❤❤i was thinking the same thing. His tone and touch 😮😮😮 I had a dentist like him when I lived in Michigan
Exactly❤
This was interesting and informative. And it's good to see how everyone's so calm, no rush.
Mad to think this video is 50 years old this year!
The dentist is without gloves!!! :)
I could listen to the Dentist all day.
Me too❤❤❤❤
The sound quality is very good for 1973 even better then the most UA-camrs with a Yeti mic.

This originally aired back in 73,i had yet to be born and my mom was 18 at the time.
I wasn't born til 1980. Love older vids!!
@@rayjeanturner9077 I love older videos also.I was born 5 years after this video was made in 1978.

Sadly all people of the Videos Not living anymofe
That dentist acts like nothing excites him! Poor guy! 🤣 And I love that hes wearing "finger condoms"
He’s probably reached a point where he’s mastered his field and is frustrated by having to reteach new faces every other year or so.
at that point just put on the gloves lol you only need to put one on per hand instead of 2 with the condoms and it is better protection
@@wesleycanada3675 Using gloves wasn't really a thing until they discovered hepatitis B.
This is mt current favourite asmr video
It is doing damage to my dental anxiety tbough
I might be the only one, but I find the hygienist very attractive and bewitching.
shes very bubbly and happy
She kind of looks like my mom
You like them psycho looking girls?
Anyone know her name lol
Ah... 1970s dentists. All the charm of a dead fish. Thank God the profession has evolved!
Rest in Peace all three persons in thst nice video
You were one of the first who discovered asmr
What makes you think they're all deceased? They may all still be alive, some of them might just be elderly.
Rest in peace??? This is from 1973, not 1873. Maybe the gentleman is older, but the young ladies are probably in their seventies.

The nurse feels so dead instead.
I totally don’t blame her if that’s the case
Today the patient is 60, the hygienist is 70, and the dentist is dead.

I DISCOVERED ASMR TINGLES ON THIS WHEN I WAS 10, I AM NOW 18 AND AN AVID ASMR WATCHER
Same here, the ASMR was strong with this.
im just addicted to teeth fetish
This is like a weird leftover Sesame Street segment from the 70's. Solid ASMR though. :)
I was about 6 years old when this was released the first time. 😳😳😳😳
Its from 1973, wow
Imagine the patient biting her fingers
@ 7:22 is where the ASMR really starts
The whole not wearing gloves is beyond me! I work in a hospital I would never 🙅🏽♀️
Wasn't a requirement at the time
😂
It was the 70s im surprised they arent all smoking
No gloves!!!!!! 😱😱
Gloves weren't a requirement at the time. It wasn't until the late 70s that things like Hepatitis B were discovered.

That Dental Nurse was a budding 'nurse ratchet' of the operatory
I could see her giving some shock treatments in that uniform.

All the allure and liveliness of a wet paper bag
How time passes
Hahaha what?!?? Came to learn and found this under unintentional ASMR 😂 killing two birds with one stone
Dr Ashe. Intimidating looking guy. Like Ashe the malfunctioning replicant in the original Alien.
The lack of gloves as a current clinician is blowing my mind lol
This video is to old. These times they didn't worry about biosecurity as nowdays...
Its for historical purposes only
How old is this?

No ones going to talk about her not wearing gloves 😭 great asmr though
that dentist looks like Michael Keaton
it says 2008 but im convinced its from 1890
It was filmed in 1973
What chance have we then
Bro where are the gloves
